Driving in Norway 4 - F55 Sognefjellsvegen, Jotunheimen

Motorbike trip to southern and central Norway in July 2022.

The journey continues e.g. through the world's longest Lærdal road tunnel (24.5 km) towards the Jotunheimen mountain range (the area where trolls and giants live).
Fylkesvei 55, known as Sognefjellsvegen, is designated as a national tourist route. The road rises to 1314 meters at its highest point. Road is closed every winter.
In July 2022, in the morning the air was maybe +10C and in the afternoon it was already +26C. In other words, you should take clothes that are easy to put on / take off for the trip.
