I am proud to say that I have lived all my life in Africa (never left the continent before - no regrets! 🥰).
In African Culture, incest is an ABOMINATION and also TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE.
It is considered a 'curse', on the individuals involved, and the family in which it occurs (even extended family members are affected).
The whole family will eventually require a sort of 'spiritual cleansing', even the victim. And even at that, the perpetrator is completely ostracized.
In most African communities, we find it so DISGUSTING that, that family is considered 'untouchables'; so much so that, no other family wants any member of their own family to marry from/into a family where 'incest' has occurred in.
The individuals involved in incest are also BANISHED from the community by the Community Head, if it is a deliberate act on both sides.
Where it is a case where there is a perpetrator and victim, as in the situation in the video, the guy will be arrested, 'if a report is made to the appropriate authorities', and the girl undergoes counseling.
In the above case, the crime occurred in an interior village community. The 'monster' is not supposed to be walking free; but if you have a weak village/community head, this kind of person might go unpunished unless someone speaks out, and the case is taken to the Police in that division.
The mother/daughter are not speaking up.
