6 years on tinder, got like 2 or 3 dates.. Online isn't my thing. I tried approaching girls in person (just like in the vid) but the "No" response seems almost automatic. So I asked some female friends and they told me to not straight up ask for their contact (I don't even ask for a number, just Instagram) but instead to chat with them for a bit... But I feel coming to a girl and asking about stuff is even harder cause deep down she knows I want her contact, you know? I feel like I'm doing some silly pretending game and they're gonna be rough... Even girls that I approached without any intention (to ask for information) were rough on me. Well, as the results of cold approaching showed little results, I might as well try chatting about something first, who knows, it might work, with a lot of practice. Thanks for the vid, man! It was very touching.

Seeing this video makes me realize how lucky I was when I met my wife 45 years ago at a college Halloween party where we had some common friends but had not known each other. She had just broken up with her high school boyfriend and was by herself at the party same as me. We sat together and talked that night about what seemed to be each of our life experiences up to that point. I thought she was very attractive but was very relaxed talking to her, since I was not even thinking of asking her out on a date, as I was more just stressed out by grades and was just in to Sports. It was a great surprise for me when her girlfriend I knew who was at the party told me a couple days later the girl I met at the party was wondering when I was going to call her to ask her out. I called her right away that night.

Both times it was a HELL!!! Everything in my stomach just twisted with overwhelming anxiety every time I though "now". So, in first case I finally invited the guy and we had some romantic evening and in second case I tortured myself till I gave up for an hour or 2. And after I gave up he asked to sit next to me :))) haha "brave modern woman". If someone catches your eye, it shouldn't be a rule that they HAVE to be in your social circle via work or through friends, or by some chance you are stuck in a social venue. Talking to and wanting to see if someone is interesting is less than weird people who call it weird. A lot of people are against interaction they they cannot directly control, which leads to people (women) thinking you are "creepy" for following your curiosity and opening your mouth, meanwhile women, even good looking ones, wonder why men are so passive.
Doing things men are supposed to do, be assertive, can be construed as something monstrous. If she doesn't appreciate your approach for whatever reason, saying "Hello, my name is xxx" is about the same as saying "Hey, nice breasts." You get pretty much the same disdain for reasons the man will never know. And no, it isn't his business why she said no, but if he stops approaching women, hes kinda lead to that conclusion based on women not wanting him to approach thus far.

Okay, parents. We NEED to teach our children about how to actually interact with real people, face to face and personal. It's ALL on phones and computers today and they have no idea how to actually relate to other people in real life. We're failing our children and their happiness miserably by allowing them to stay hidden from real life and live only virtually through electronic technologies. It's not cool and it's not fair to them. They are missing out on the growing pains of dating, learning about others so they can respect their boundaries of social acceptances and empathy that the other person is a real person too who's just as scared, nervous, hopeful, dreamer, confused, ecstatic, curious, lonely, imaginative, lost and yet found as you, yourself are.

Kevin Smith Ha Ha that's funny, I was good looking enough. At an upscale dinner party a single middle aged director I was working was talking about the difficulties meeting women. I said you have to not let them know you like them, play it cool, pretend not to be interested. He asked my wife how we met. She said "He Stalked Me." There was an awkward silence so I said "or you just stalk them." Thankfully every one who was listening laughed. My wife is very funny.

This worked big time for me once. I noticed this beautiful girl during a play; she was one of the actresses. After the show I went home and I couldn't get her out of my head, so I returned the next day and watched the play (or her tbh) again. When it was over I saw her standing outside of the theater and I walked up to her. With a brief moment of shameless confidence I asked three things:
"Are you busy after your last show tomorrow?"
    She said: "No"
"Would you like to go do something then?"
She said: "Yes I'd like that"
Then I asked for her number and I got it. We dated for a while.
After getting her number I walked away feeling such an amount of adrenaline and boost of self-esteem. Later she told me that coming up to her in public like that is really attractive. (Because we all know how scary that is)

It makes absolutely no sense to me. Even the most attractive and socially graceful people I know have done some form of online dating or are on there right now and it baffles me. Working up the courage to be vulnerable with someone face to face and giving them the absolutely demoralizing option to tell you "no, I am not interested in you" but being confident that they also feel the spark you feel towards them is just part of the entire process for me and there's no two ways about it. On the receiving end, I've found the amount of confidence it takes to be incredibly admirable and attractive. Even if I'm not interested, that person will definitely stay on my mind, in a high place. On the giving end, the elation you feel when you take that leap and the person you like feels the same way is indescribable. You just don't get that from behind the safety of a screen.

You dont want to hurt their feelings by just flat out saying "no" so some people will just say "sorry! I have a boyfriend/girlfriend." It's not creepy it's just that most of those these people aren't use or feel intimidated by a stranger walking up to them saying will you go on a date or go for a drink whatever. Cause it's not as common anymore. For young people like me it's pretty easy since school and phones help out a lot in building up interactions with strangers without making them feel weird. You could just get their number or send them a dm after you guys talk for a while asking if they want to go out. It feels way easier then doing it in person but It's good to practice your social skills too.

The film-makers decided whether he would be successful or not with these women, and they are trying to give you (the viewer) a particular feeling: hope. "Because if you just keep trying, you'll be successful." is the message.

Moospeaker Ehh youre close, but thats not quite what it is. Wanting to become a japanese citizen and learn the language to assimilate into their society is no different than others immigrating to the west. The word weaboo refers to people who:
      1) Think japanese culture is 100% anime
      2) Think japanese people act like anime chars
      3) Denounce their own culture and think japanese culture is superior (while bitching about USA border laws even though Japan has tougher immigration laws and doesnt conform to multiculturalism)
      4) Use random japanese words in english sentences and then claim to know japanese, or give themselves a random japanese name online with an anime profile pic
      5) Generally have no clue what actual japanese culture is and end up not only failing to integrate into japanese culture, but also end up failing to assimilate into their own society as a result of trying to mimic another.
I will say that giving yourself a japanese name online without actually knowing how to speak or write japanese is a big indicator that youre a weaboo.
-The most cringiest thing about a weeb for me is that they expect the USA to lose its own culture and let other cultures take us over, while they praise and imitate japanese culture (The only reason japan still has a unique culture as a country is because they enforce immigration laws that force people to conform to THEIR culture, not the other way around.)

    • @SeraphimDragon
      @SeraphimDragon 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Look at it this way; regardless of how a man approaches the desired result is still the same. The only difference between the two is when the conversation takes place. If a man asks you for a chance to go out, naturally the conversation of getting to know each other would take place then. As opposed to doing it your way, starting up a conversation, going through the motions of talking a great deal, only to ask for a date and be told no anyway. It's a waste of everyone's time if the woman's going to say no for what he wants a chance for, regardless of when the getting to know each other part happens. Generally when people are interested in a complete stranger, it's for their looks anyway. Everything after that can only come from accepting the chance to go one step further and dig into their personality. To me, starting a conversation and having one in front of all the people that don't matter as they're not important to the dating aspect is more strange.

I am no master, but I think the theory is that when a strange man says things like, “Are you single?” or “Would you like to go on a date with me?”; then it naturally raises the girl’s defenses. Most of the time they are saying, “I already have a boyfriend”, it is really just a defense that they are instinctively using to protect themselves. Some people say that just asking for a phone number causes the girl to raise her defenses.
Did anyone notice that when he finally started succeeding in his approach, he did not say, “Are you single?” or “Would you like to go out on a date?” His successful approach seemed phrased as though the girl did not have to make any kind of commitment. He asked her just to engage in something risk-free. That approach did not cause the girl to raise her defenses.
Who do you think? Does this make sense?

Atleast you girls are getting asked. If you say yes then we prolly won't be in a hunt for another. Fellas just be looking to fill up the void left in them. It's Spain but S is silent.
