So this process works if there´s small amounts of tin left on the board/material? Any idé of how much longer the process takes?

    • @999DusanGoldrecovery

Depense of material and amount of base metal. Yes it vill work on tin to but you need extra heat and tme to disolve oal base metals.

vinegar and salt, citric acid with salt both creates hydrochloric acid. you can speed up this process to minutes by slowly adding hydrogen peroxide (with a dropper for examble). in some countrys fuming hydrochloric acid is way cheaper than salt and vinegar/citric acid and you only have to add some vinegar or lime (not too much because you need a acid to stabilize the chemical reaction) to get rid of some unsolutable coppersalts (if the color is green or black) by turning them into Copper (II) acetate.

A relatively safe method for the teenagers out there. Do not forget though that this man has spent a long time studying chemistry which is apparent in watching his videos. Boards and such are not an easy find nowadays. Best method is hitting rummage sales and look for costume jewelry. Expect Gold to rise more as NYSE is ripe for a huge correction in 3 to 6 months with incoming US administration which is inept at best. Very nice demonstration by a pretty wise gentleman. Safety in a lab setting is always paramount, as I have witnessed two accidents in over 40 years working in a professional environment. Chemistry is wonderful, but there are hundreds of severe accidents yearly using OSHA data.
    Blessings to All.

Every day, every night, the Internet/TH-cam tells me a bunch of stuff I didn't know, and had NO IDEA OF!! 🙂👍👍
Great video, I'd watched gold recovery/refining videos before, but none like this!! 🙂👍
Will the salt/vinegar/oxygen method also work, over time, with scrap gold-filled/gold-plated jewellery??
So SIM cards contain significant gold?? I didn't know that.. (There was certainly plenty of gold flakes in that jar! 🙂)
What is a "finger"?? A circuit board??
And what is the best place to search for amounts of the right gold-bearing computer/digital scrap?? 🙂
And as some other people have said, *can we see the whole process please* , and preferably you melting the result into a tiny bar?? 🙂👍
I'd especially like to see the avid and bleach method!! Hope you've got a way of not gassing yourself with the chlorine bleach!! (Unless you use peroxide? I don't know!!!!)

    • @lightdark00
      @lightdark00 3 ปีที่แล้ว +10

@@oneoflokis Gold plate: It would at least extract some copper from the plate, but if it was not able to get under the plated bit, it couldn't have it flake off.
Sim & memory cards: Both contain gold in tiny amounts. Memory cards would need to be basically powdered to collect all the gold. You would need thousands to get a a nice little bead of gold.
Fingers: The part of a add in card that has the contacts to electrically connect. They are the connection pads, that in turn get clamped by the socket they are inserted to. Many gold recoverers will simply slice this section off and not worry about the rest of the card.
Where: Older computer cards have more gold then current ones generally. Basically, you want the materials for free, so you must recover computers from businesses, homes, garbage skips, dumps.

From what I've seen elsewhere, have a large jug, a funnel, a coffee filter, and a squirt bottle filled with distilled water. Essentially, you remove each stripped board, squirt water til all gold flakes are off, repeat. Next slowly pour the solution with gold flakes into the filter over the funnel. The paper will catch the gold flakes. Rinse with distilled water after filtering. My ultimate plan for my scraps is to do this, use a clean glass jar to hold flakes, use distilled water to loosen from filter paper into the clean glass partially covered to allow the water to evaporate, turning the flakes into a dry gold flakes/dust to process at a later time.

What do I do to get the gold out of the paste?

    • @Muscles_McGee

Add more high strength vinegar, keep in a covered area like garage or carport. Let it sit a while- a few hours or a couple of days and see if it melts the paste. Hope it helps!

I still have the stuff I scooped it all into a different container a lot of broken glass now cuz the container broke originally that I had did the washing in.
So now I'm going to have to use high-strength acid and filtration to separate the plastic and the broken pierces of glass.

It depends on the next step. If I melted the foils immediately, it would be about 14 carats, but if I refined further, I would get 24 carats of gold.

Za finiš opet kroz filter i kad imaš u čašici samo prašinu.. staviš jo u model i gas sa vatrom. ;) svo sreču i pazljivo sa svim. Pozdrav

That blue in the solution is a form of Copper. I hope it is not Copper Chloride, if so you have a very toxic solution there.
