Unlike the true ending, I'm fine with Heng not trying to desperately stay alive for as long as possible to not abandon her brother but instead tell him to move on in the worst-case scenario, they both wanted different things and both rejected each other, it's a natural compromise. However the true ending doesn't have such an excuse, He saved Shuanshuan but didn't even try to find a way to live to take care of him in the future and just died on his own terms holding the banner of the "Greater Good" as an excuse, I wouldn't mind if he died anyway I just wanted there to be an effort to get back. this is like that scene in anime where Rudy and Paul argued for not being passionate or too calm about the prospect of him saving his mom and I'm Paul.
