URGENT! How to SAFELY Store Your Gold and Silver - Dirtyman Safe Review

- เผยแพร่เมื่อ 6 ก.ย. 2024
- In this video I talk about how to safely store your gold and silver. If you own physical gold and silver then you know how important it is to keep your precious metals safe. I review a new product that enables you to safely bury your gold and silver underground and easily retrieve it whenever you need to and it is called the dirtyman safe. Dirtyman Safes are a system which helps you quickly pull your safe out of the ground even if it is buried deep underground. Dirtyman Safes are water proof and not able to be picked up by metal detectors. I buried my dirtymansafe only 30 inches deep and it was not able to be picked up by my metal detector. If you want to keep your silver and gold from being stolen this dirty man safe system is a must. This is NOT a Liberty Safe! There is no passcode for this safe it is simply undetectable. You can bury silver coins, silver bars, junk silver, gold coins, gold bars, and much more easily. Don't forget to use the code below for a discount on your Dirtyman Safe:

You can make your own out of PVC, probably be a lot cheaper.
This is a convenient kit but way over priced.
This issue I believe is the stainless steel because even the swages are 316 stainless. Also PVC won’t work you need ABS because it’s stronger and won’t turn your silver black 🔥🐉
Considering all the time it saves you it’s really not much money. I’d have to be out of a job to consider doing my own.
Vacuum sealed solved the problem with the elements. @@SilverDragons47
We got a five-foot PVC plastic pipe with a 6-inch diameter for free by asking at a local tradesman yard. The PVC is at least 1/8 inch thick. They have odd lengths leftover from jobs that they cannot use. Ask nicely and they are happy for you to take it off their hands.
I dug up this up in my neighbor's yard while he was on vacation. I can confirm that it kept all his gold and silver eagles safe as the coin shop paid above spot for everything.
@markanders250 Or even worse, if you get a company that wants to scam you they can insert a GPS inside the tube lol or insert a metal that they can pick up only on their metal detector. Even worse go to the address it was shipped out to a week after shipping and look for "disturbed" dirt in their back yard. Either make your own or have a hidden fireproof indoor safe.
It is still a strange and frightening idea to, for example, place 2 kilo of gold coins and bars in a plastic tube and burry it just in your garden with just 20 Centimeter of gravel and earth above it and hide that knowing when you lay in your bed knowing someone can walking in your garden not knowing that there is a treasure closeby. So this versus a safe in your house where no one can easily reach it if hidden and protected properly it and why choose your precious metals litterly burying to literally leave so terribly much money outside. Which can literally be picked up by someone that is suspecting something if he briefly saw you digging and the place still fresh, why just digging somewhere a hole in the ground? ". So why is literally burying them outside considered a safer option than having to go through multiple layers of security in the house before they can get to your precious metals?
It seems to me that the only reason to bury it in your garden is to mislead thieves in the sense of making them think that you are not so stupid as to actually put over a ton and a half up for grabs as a disguised method of security.
@@LennardA320 Or, you could do something almost no Americans are capable of these days and "think for yourself". Dig way deeper, in many locations, install some landscape plants at the same time to disguise locations and reasons for digging, spread washers or small steel balls all over yard to screw with metal detectors, waste thugs time, detectors that won't find much down in a 4 foot hole anyway, and think about a few other tricks. The number one thing is tell no one what you are doing. Depends how much money is at risk, with half a million or more, lot's of things can be done on your own if one is capable of thinking, but almost no one is anymore. Also, have a small stash to give up if thugs place a shotgun in your wife's mouth, you will have to give them something to get them out of there, so make it a small stash, not the mother load or use several locations, you need to break up that stash. Use other people's ideas without copying them, think, adjust and optimize is the secret to success in life. Don't act like a robot counting on others for help. Think for yourself.
😂😂😂😂
I would prefer to have the "hidden safe in the floor trick. There's lots of empty space between floors of the average home where a safe can be placed. The safe can be hidden under the rug or floorboards. Don't hide the safe behind a picture on the wall. That's the first place a crook would look.
All polymers (plastics) will absorb some amount of moisture, and all plastic bags will transmit some degree of water vapor over time. The amount depends on the material, surface area, and time. This is why the use of desiccant is important. The best bags for sealing out moisture are the mylar metalized static free bags used for packaging electronic components and devices. If you really want to go to extreme, package your silver in these mylar bags, insert a packet of desiccant and vacuum seal. Then place the bag in your ABS pipe.
Be sure to mark where you buried the safe with a Giant Letter X.
lol send me the treasure map please 🔥🐉
Too obvious, I'll just put a doormat that reads, no buried treasure here.
😂
@@SilverDragons47ok s d treasure map coming through right now😂😂X m t s
And make your map to find it later and store it on your cell phone.
Wow, probably about $20 in pvc there. Easy to make your own. Thanks for the idea SD.
was thinking same thing...can make your own for half that
Be sure to make a video of what you do so we can see. Thanks.
It actually looks like Polyethylene which is different than PVC (polyvinyl chloride)
ABS plastic drain pipe.
Let us know if yours blocks out the metal detector too.
You should do a 1 year test to test it out. Put in some bare steel, put a moisture pack in it and see how it handles the outdoors.
Yes, I do believe frostline would be a concern for some condensation. In perfect situation, one should find out the "frostline" of your area (How deep it frosts in winter) and then be sure to bury beneath it.
I recommend reading "Resistance to Tyranny" written by Joseph P. Martino PhD. There is a section in his book about burying things effectively to keep others from finding your items easily.
sounds like some good homework 🤓🔥🐉
I will look into this. Thank you
Martino is a Moscow stooge.
How do you find your own stuff if when the grass grows over and you mow your lawn, what do you do?
@@joaquimpipa4842 The book goes over that too.
Rather than metal detectors, the feds use ground-penetrating radar (GPR) when they are looking for buried items. It's no longer expensive. While I doubt authorities will ever search my property for buried items, if they want to, they can easily find them. However, the subject product (or a homemade ABS version) looks pretty good for securing items from casual thieves. Unfortunately, it may also keep surviving heirs from finding their inheritance.
Hence the existence of 'treasure maps'.
I hope the authorities arrest you for treason.

Thanks for the review, Silver. Looks like a good product. Of course, everyone should remember to check for locations of underground gas lines and power lines before digging holes in your back yard. Best wishes to all.
Thanks dr science. Tell us more!
@@dougrose7334 "Tell us more!"
Sure!: Over 350 people in the US have died and the same number have been injured in the last five years from digging without checking for underground utilities first. Remember kids...ASK DR. SCIENCE!
Absolutely ! Otherwise it will cost them lots of fiat and potential silver and gold purchases.
You wouldn't bury it in an easement anyway. Utility companies can come by at anytime and dig in the easement without notice.
If you need to mark something buried, use a Casio G-Shock Rangeman (or similar 3 sensor nav watch). It has no GPS coordinates, but it can save compass & step settings. Only you know the starting point + ain't nobody checking your watch for rando compass bearings + strides & altitude (IF you save the altitude). Even if they found it, it would be meaningless unless you know where to start. Stay free people. As long as you can, at least.
Stay free by putting Trump and other January 6 traitors in jail.
Magnetic declination may be enough over a decade or so to bugger that plan up?
@@spr00sem00se - Maybe. I'm not using it my Rangeman in this way, just saying someone could. It's mostly for trail cutting/same day or over a few days, so in that case it's fine but fair point about long term storage.
I'm glad I was sitting down in my recliner when I saw the prices of these.
Save your hard-earned money folks and go to a box store and buy the supplies to DIY.
You could probably spend $30 and the money you would save, you could buy more precious metals or whatever your little heart desires.
Why make somebody else rich?
Food for thought.
My thought exactly. Prices of these staggered me.
Ammo can inside of a pelican case.
You really need to direct this to the pirate community. I'm sure they would love these.
This may work in warmer climates. Our ground freezes solid for months in the winter.
Pack above the tube with dry sawdust except a few inches, then complete with dirt. The sawdust( even damp frozen) can be easily Brocken up with a spud.
FYI ball jars fit perfectly inside 4 inch pvc…another thing to note if you are going to build your own for silver, regular pvc puts off a gas that will tarnish your silver, so you will need to protect it.
I find it odd that you would use a 10oz bar of silver at surface level as the control vs 2oz of gold buried 2 ft underground
This is a cool idea to add to any stackers toolbox, I think. As far as defeating metal detectors, thats pretty low on my threat list, but if it weren't, I'd consider pouring a rebar rich slab of concrete (maybe a foot by two feet) over the safe and then extract the safe around the slab. Overkill, no doubt. Or dig out and install the safe into a phony septic access port. Who's going to stick their nose into one of those ? Good job on the video.
the IRS will if they think you have something they want...
Some specialized metal detectors are designed to operate at depths of 20 feet or greater. Just because YOUR metal detector didn't find it doesn't mean someone with a real metal detector can't.
Who would ever use a metal detector in your back yard and under what circumstances? Have you ever met anyone in your life who told you that someone just went into their back yard to do metal detecting?
Im surprised that the detector did not pick up the stainless steel wire.
Me too, it certainly should have unless he had it set to filter out junk
I think he mentioned in the video, but the steel wire is 316 Stainless Steel, and is apparently less visible or invisible to metal detectors.
No one would be in your back yard with a metal detector in the first place. Has anyone been in your back yard with a metal detector before?
I would bury something on top of it, like a big washer painted blaze orange. If you forget the exact location, you can metal detect it and find the washer. Odds of another person metal detecting would be minimal I think. If that is in the ground for a long period of time, I don’t think you are going to easily pull it out. The handle would break in your hand before that tube comes out. The ground compresses and settles, tightly holding whatever is buried
Exactly
What if you filled the hole with sawdust or beach sand or fish tank stuff? Would that protect it better? Just curious.
You should have filled the tube completely with metal rather than two small coins and then run the metal detector over it.
We need to test with the lockpicking lawyer.
lol he will never find mine 🔥🐉
Yep. The Lockpicking lawyer can open it.
Yes he will open it if he ever finds it. Last I heard, he is still digging.
This is pretty intriguing. Thank you for reviewing this!
you are very welcome thanks for watching! 🔥🐉
Awesome product. Thanks for demoing the DIRTYMAN
Pretty cool, but you can def build your own PVC less than $20. People have been burying their valuables for centuries, many die without telling any fam members and thus, someone else “may” accidentally find it.. remember the Kentucky guy that came across Civil War era gold coins?
Ammo boxes works to. They can also be put underwater.
Pro tip: Invest in a vacuum sealer for sealing your goods (cash, coins, primers, etc...) then go to vessel then to ground.
As you go deeper, I would use a cordless drill and a flower bulb planting auger to break up the deep soil. Great new product idea!! God willing, none of us will ever need one!! Stay Cranky my friend!! 😠👍💯
I would use a back hoe, a hoe from the ghetto and a hydrogen bomb to excavate an ample hole.
Great idea- too bad they way over priced it.... im sure they would sell more if the price was closer to reality.....
Start your own company selling these and then sell them at the price that is dirt cheap. Then, enjoy your success.
Buring your metals in your yard is the safest by far.
I prefer the John Wick buried in concrete method. Super easy to retrieve, just get a twenty pound sledgehammer and smash away for a solid hour.
Agreed.
1) I want to see a test with the cable as close to the detector as that bar.
2) This is too easy to find by digging, the handle defeatst the main purpose. The best application would be some SERE kit that you need to get to really fast, otherwise dig more than you can reach with your arm.
3) Too expensive. You can buy a simple plastic tube and caps. If uneasy about water, put several layers of sealants, maybe a second container inside, which doesn't need to be as sturdy.
Do include a rope of sorts but leave it down there and you can burry it vertically to lower the highest point. Be mindful of layers of soild you are extracting, put them back in order. And save the grass, it's the most visible short term. If you can find any metal trash in the area, put some in there, not too deep. You can leave other trash in between as a mark that you are digging in the right place. If digging not on your property for long term, make sure to have directions based on landmarks unlikely to move/disappear, ideally several for redundancy. Do leave some metal around but not exactly around that spot, in fact, it's better if the spot is on the side of the baited area. Choose a low traffic location and make sure you are not being tracked, SLLS halts are useful for that.
All this info is gathered from yt, I have not tested any of it yet.
Bringing a cell phone with you justs provides an electronic map with gps coordinates right to the target area. Do not take your smartphone with you. Leave it at home, with youy vehicle, too, if possible.
Pablo Escobar buried his gold Krugarands in 55-gallon fuel drums......lol
I got some of my gold stashed under my step dad's tombstone at the cemetery he's ashes are buried at...
If you have a large yard, you could park a vehicle over the buried safe. Or put something over it.
You can see it's made in China...gotta admit, not real passionate about anything made there actually working long term. However i like the idea, will have to look to see if there is something better made available. Great video.
Terrific idea. I have a very simple idea to use those products
A pvc cable saw for the handle with abs pipe and fittings. Great idea.
Saw the "Made in China" On the cap. Any American made companies that make something similar?
PVC pipe from a local hardware store
spread a tarp down first right next to where you are digging. keep the plug of grass you remove first and set it on the tarp. put all of the dirt you dig out on the tarp. you can put back what dirt you need to fill the hole then haul the rest away. you dont want someone walking by and wondering why did they dig a hole there?
What are you a 12 yr. old? Find the tall sycamore tree at the front of the old oak grove, between the two mimosa trees, now, go 17 paces east, and 40 paces to the south, when you arrive at the black granite, moss covered rock, do the moon walk facing ENE for the entire first verse of "Beat It", and then dig 99 inches, until you hit a buried STOP sign. Retrieve your treasure.
Not recommended for people who are constantly checking their stack. Disturbed ground is a key sign of a buried safe. If your safe is full, just go out and buy another one.
I would think disturbed ground was the owner doing some planting. If I were a thief, with limited time, I wouldn't be in the back yard trying to side step the dog poo, I would be where I thought valuables would be in the home.
@@Tchild2 Maybe he was planting Freedom Seeds? A great place to store your Ammo while on Vacation?
If possible bury it below the frost line and above the water line.
Bury it in your attic.
Detectors only penetrate to a certain level so put the bar just as deep as the tube and test.
Nice video. I remeber watching a guy from Texas use PVC pipes, but I can't remember his channel.
yeah they PVC is not as strong as ABS and it will change the color of your silver but I know people have done that before 🔥🐉
@@SilverDragons47 are you saying the PVC will leach thru the plastic container/bag the PM was placed in?
You can get PVC pipes, two end caps and do the same thing, js.
For that price I would buy the huge mono vault safe that is about 12 inches wide and around 4 ft deep, you can store many rifles in there if you break them down or a couple if you leave them all together. plus metals, ammo etc etc Mono vault also sells many various sizes for smaller items, but the big one is about the same price as this dirty man unit
So ? ABS Good? PVC Bad?
Besides the pull cord Ive been making/using PVC "safes" like this for 20 yrs
Plot twist… Safes all have a GPS locator built-in, Dirtyman now knows where all your gold and silver is 😬
Pretty cool design!
I highly doubt there's a tracker in these
@silverdragons, I've said it for years. Get 4" pvc pipe from local hardware store with pvc glue. Hide precious metals in your yard.
it will turn your silver weird colors though ABS is better than PVC for that reason
The cap should be at least a foot deep if you want to be sure a fully loaded safe wont be detected by standard metal detectors which search to a depth of 6 to 10 inches.
Call the utility company before you dig to do a line tracing. And when you pull dirt out of the hole lay a tarp down first so you don't make a mess. Also I surprised the metal detector didn't find it. I've use some detectors that can find bits of metal 3 feet down in rocky soil.
Thanks so much for introducing us to Harry’s! Their whatnot shop/auction is awesome!
Is whatnot easy to use?
@@JRJStacks it is fast paced. So you have to be ready.
Quick parts look up reveals
- 2ft 4" ABS = $25
- 4" End Cap and Threaded Cleanout = $17 each
So $59 and you DON'T yet have the outer sleeve, sleeve top, stainless cable, cable coupling top, pull handle or glue. So all that might run u another $50 (if you could sourced it).
So this unit is fair priced given retail pricing probably about a 33% mark up. Not bad. IMHO
But how dare anyone make a profit. Thanks for your info.
I have a question about The US dollar.....lets say the reserve currency, (US Dollar) collapses..how does that effect other currencies..mainly the Canadian dollar...or how does a reserve currency effect other world currencies if it collapses? ...thanks..A happy Canuck silver nut..lol
If SHTF I doubt I would worry about shiney silver.
I'd add a rubber O ring inside the cap to make sure water won't get in.
Made my own 5 yrs ago different look but same thing it does the job fo 25 bucks made it myself.
hi keep up the great vids 🔥👍🏼🐉
thanks so much!
In the 1970s-80s the FBI dug up around $200,000 in gold coins that were buried all over a ranch in western NE. It was a drug thing. They didn't really have a problem finding them.
Once the fbi is coming after you, and not some thief or local force, I’d imagine you have more pressing matters than your PM’s. Namely, not being executed.
Doesn't mean anything if all were burried in tin coffee cans just a few inches from the surface. The devil is in the details.
That was way more coins than it would be today to equal 200K. 200K of gold today isn’t all that big compared to 200K worth of gold in the 70’s
@@Johnmartins648 About 5700 coins back then as opposed to 80-90 now.
@@jimv.661 yeah I still think the FBI today would find 80-90 coins in 5 minutes. They probably easily would have back then also but it’s gotta really tough to hide over 5K gold coins 😂
Had a friend in the Clinton Days seal a couple of guns and ammo, filled voids with silica packets buried them for a couple of years. When he decided to move dug guns up ant they were almost ruined. Bet silver is going to get nasty.
Only real way to keep that safe from a metal detector is to put a whole lot of electrical interference near it so you either have to run a cross-section of hot wires in that field or right overhead to have that protected from a metal detector
You can make your own from PVC pipe and you can make it much larger. This one is not big enough to hold much at all.
ABS not PVC.. ABS is used for sewer lines, more durable and does not emit poly vynl cloride gases that will destroy silver..
@@dukeman7595 All of mine is in tubes and not laying next to the pvc.
Needs to be much deeper imo as most people will dig down 12 inches fairly easily. Personally I'd put it several feet down in clay and put some dirt down on it first then a very heavy rock then more dirt. Add tinfoil all over the garden so there's no one spot for your stash.
not sure if you're trolling, but what you wrote is funny. 🤣
Would be very easy to make one of these!
I would love to see some homemade versions 👍🏽 especially a longer one for 2A type stuff 🤓🔥🐉
also I know that ABS is not cheap haha
@@SilverDragons47 Any hardware store would carry the PVC pipe, fittings and glue to make pretty much any size you would want. I have the stainless steel cable that I get from a trapping supply company. The pull handle can also be bought in most any hardware store! I never purchased ABS but I assume it is a bit stronger.
Go ahead. We’re breathless.
I already had that idea, but just figured an old mason jar would do the trick.
it does.
I would glue a cap on the bottom of the big tube in addition to putting Teflon tape on the threads of the screw on cap.
I'd be more inclined to pour a little gravel into the bottom of the big tube for drainage if you live in a wet climate. Time to experiment !
He used an o-ring on the threaded plus instead of Teflon tape.
The cap on the unit has a design flaw in that it has a slit for the cord handle, and the slit shall allow water to seep in the larger tub that holds the "safe". It probably won't damage the inner safe, but it shall be a mess.
ABS is easy to modify. Weld the slot closed or tape it or silicone it; seems like a little water getting into the slot would be the least of your worries, though. Safe looks waterproof enough to deal with a little seepage.

If you have some mechanical understanding you know that there is no back door in safes with a mechanical lock ;)
Just hide that somewhere in your home and youll be fine. Carve a whole into a chair or bed etc. Dont burry it outside your home. If someone finds it its not yours anymore
That day your wife dumped the chair at the junkyard ...😬
Ever hear a story about the police busting thieves while they were metal detecting someone's backyard? Yeah, me neither. It doesn't happen.
What material is the wire handle made of? The detector should be picking it up.
Detecting 316 stainless steel is much more difficult. It is non magnetic.
Ive seen these type of plumbing fittings leak... to seal use wax (you can buy a wax ring for a toilet at the hardware store)
I noticed the threaded plug had a rubber o-ring on it to seal out water.
Why would somebody pay $170 for PVC that can be purchased at Home Depot for $15?
It really dont matter how deep you put it in the ground once the thief grabs the handle he can pull it out easily as well
Very nifty product. Thank you for showcasing it and all of the content you produce. Could you indulge me for a minute and give your current thoughts on USGO, which you featured back in April? Cheers!
The most safest thing is that besides yourself and no one knows what you have
Right where the old basketball hoop was as one spot . Down by the shed. And the garden is large and how does my garden grow as this dirt devil is great.
It's good for gold but you can't get very much silver in that thing
You could put silver in a five gallon bucket and splatter paint on the lid and sides and hide it in plain sight in the garage. Unless a thief knows you have metals, they won't be looking in your garage where the old buckets and rags are laying about.
Buy some metal piping with endcaps. Stick your gold/silver inside. Put close to the surface on the top or side of a concrete rebar enforced concrete structure. (a bench, walkway, piling, structure etc) The metal should mask the gold/silver signature, and thieves are not going to go aimlessly destroying concrete structures in search of treasure. jmo.
Use Teflon tape on the threads
That's literally only about $20 in ABS fittings and pipe.
1 3x2 reducer
1 3" female adapter
1 3" plug
3" pipe to length
6" pipe to length
6" cap
I like it, I always wonder what I would do in an emp event that would fry my electric components of my safe and make it impossible to open.
A couple pry bars or metal cutting saw.
Seed the area with nails. Way cheaper than ball bearings and easy to poke into the ground without digging.
Different signal. Most detectors cancel out the iron in nails.
I use old primers, from cases I reload.
Yep thanks I'll be stopping by home depot later for supplies.
Yea I’m good on spending 168 on some pvc tubing. I’m sure supplies including black spay paint can’t be more then 50. That’s including gas money getting to Home Depot.
Lol, I've been thinking about building a box to do exactly this. My only complaint is it needs that treasure chest aesthetic. I've thought about the pvc and abs as a cheap method though.
Ammo can inside of a pelican case.
Would it build up moisture in the safe??
They definitely do. Even if everything is vacumm sealed.
Hey Silver Dragon. Could you find gold nuggets with the metal detector you have? I know a place where they did a lot of gold mining years ago and I wanted to go there and see if I could find some nuggets. It definitely alerted on that silver bar.
Can you imagine how much gold and silver is buried in back yards and the people died and nobody knows about it?
Put the location in your will. Nobody reads the will until after you are dead.
How much are they charging for these pvc pipes capped off at the ends
Good idea, I would build myself.😊
