This conversation is so much better than the comic.

It's always great to see Aric back on stream. Fun stories and ALL the memoribilia! He is always so generous with his time here, and it is much appreciated. I look forward to the next 4.5 hour visit!
Glad you got to sleep at a decent time, Daniel! 2 AM (on what is probably a work night). Thanks for everything! Now, you can listen to the 'Guns and Moses" album to sooth yourself to sleep.

This interview with Aric was a lot of fun to watch.
He’s a very cool guy and really willing to share.
Could you persuade him to share any documents digitally with you?
It would be so cool to get such background documents. Especially on the Indy games.
    They belong in a museum!

I’m glad you enjoyed our conversation.
We plan to have another one in 2025 in which we’ll go over all of the design documents.

Thanks for these streams/interviews, Daniel. You got us Indy fans eating good. Sad to hear of so many cancelled projects. At least some of the concepts lived on in the novels by Max McCoy and comics.

oh man. Outsourcing to that company which had no idea about making anything related to adventure games sure sounds like a pipe dream. That part about the prequel to temple of doom sounded way cool. And... the lucasfilm fly simulator? That's a joke about flight simulators, right? 😂 I'm hoping you can get to the tech play and the followup video about all the fun design documents one day ^^ As usual, an interesting conversation! Thank you both of you!

Aric and I will likely do that design document conversation in early 2025, so stay tuned!

Wonderful interview! I finally got to listen to it all, and I gotta say, even though it was about a game that wasn't created, there were so many interesting topics to talk about. Makes me wonder what the music of each of those game mentioned could have been like 😊

First of all I have to say I really enjoy these interviews and you do a great job, Daniel! 🤩 But I do you to criticize one point. The actual topic (Indiana Jones and the Iron Phoenix) begins only after 79 minutes into the actual interview! That’s almost the length of a movie! There should be some sort of indicator for that! Other viewers might not have the patience to even reach that point.

You really should add chapters to those loooooong interviews

    • @danielalbu
      @danielalbu  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I agree.
But at this point in time, adding chapters would take so much time that I'd have to switch to bi-weekly releases instead of one every week.

@@danielalbu People watching could help. Since there are people who are watching the entire thing, one of them could make sure to write timestamps for major topic changes and write a comment with them, and then it could be added to the video description

Nice talk! Story sounds a little crazy but maybe its always like that before it comes together in the end product. Fun to see some art and boards.
I cant believe how positive everyone seems to be about AI-generated stuff. How depressing that no-one values the human touch, the endeavor and effort to create, and think endless automated remakes, rehashes and remixes are just as cool. =( The end of humanity.
