    I just got my first Asian forest scorpion yesterday found out she is pregnant also an have a 10 gallon aquarium an have been having issues getting the humidity to go up just watched your video tonight so hoping an praying it helps the humidity go up I don't think I sprayed enough but just did what u did an added alot more water to 1 side an turned up the heating pad to 135F an hoping that helps increase the humidity PLEASE ANY SUGGESTIONS appreciated

    • @ScottsInverts

      U need to get the water to the low levels of the substrate, you could also try a bigger water dish, if you using a open top consider a vented lid , plants help with humidity also

    Was that an Emperor Scorpion? I thought that's how you can tell the difference between an Asian Forest Scorpion and an Emperor Scorpion. The Stinger on an Asian Forest Scorpion is Black and pinchers are smooth. While and Emperor Scorpion has the reddish stinger and rougher looking Pinchers.

    Great looking beard. I am a scorpion enthusiast, but only the safe ones. I have an Asian forest and a desert hairy scorpion. With the Asian forest and emperor scorpions I recommend dwarf isopods as a clean up crew but most importantly to keep mites off of The Scorpions. In the past I have lost some to my infestation. Now because of the dwarf isopods they are always shiny jet black.

    • @ScottsInverts

      You can brush the mites off swap out the substrate, or a slice of cumber can attract the mites then dispose off , scorps are beautiful creatures

    • @ProgressiveDiscussions

      @@ScottsInverts that is interesting using cucumber. I wonder if I can seed other enclosures with isopods using cucumber?

    • @ProgressiveDiscussions

      @@ScottsInverts I also think the giant African Flat Rock Scorpion and the Scorpio Maurus are fascinating. Scorpio Maurus requires a more vertical enclosure with deeper substrate since they like to burrow.

    Scorpions terrify me! I can't ever see myself owning one but I said the same about spiders and I've already got a nice collection of jumpers and velvets, so I may branch off into scorpions too one day. Nevertheless it's great, informative video, Scott. Thank you! Also, still not been brave enough to get my first T yet. In your opinion what would be the best beginner species? I've been thinking about versicolors but would love your opinion 🙏💕🌈

    • @ScottsInverts

      Versicolor can jump and take you by surprise maybe a curly hair or g.pulchripes . Scorpions it's defo worth getting 1 it really makes a change from the spiders and summit.else.to get obsessed by lol.
      Thank you for your positive feedback 😊

    • @SarahDawesFilms

      @@ScottsInverts thank you so much. I'll definitely look into those species. I'd really like one that is docile, so maybe versicolors are not the best starter for me. Thank you 🙏💕🌈 I know what you mean about obsessions lol I joined the invert hobby last September initially with one little Yunnan flower mantis and now I have so many different species lol 😆🙈 and the same with jumpers. I just adore them and am always looking to see what is about. It's a great hobby to be a part of though. In the past 11 months I've met some wonderful people online. Everyone (well mostly everyone) have been so helpful and friendly. Do you ever go to the shows? I've not been to one yet but I would like to and meet people in person. 🙏💕🌈

    I’ve decided scorpions are bellends! My first scorpling I got back in 85 got eaten by its dinner (a cricket hid in the cracks of the cork bark), and my second adult Asian Forest scorpion I got from SEAS in 2019 doesn’t ever seem to eat (it must have because it’s still alive, but never when I can see it)
