A lot of these planes were taken here during the pandemic, but will certainly fly again. The ones that have the engines and pitot tubes tightly taped, will see service soon.
A lot of these 🐦 Birds are too young 🌱 for retirement! Pandemic may be partially responsible for their grounding. Some of these beauties will hopefully return to the skies in some form or another!

i’ve just subscribed :) thank you for posting, i’ve always wanted to see something like this especially a full tour of this airport, i wish i can tour it myself.
Thanks @zoookk1237 for your kind comment! I was flying some traffic pattern with a Single Engine Airplane recently, hope I find some time to bring them online soon. Stay tuned ;-)
If I owned a airplane storage place, I would definitely store my favorite airlines like Air New Zealand, United Airlines, Eva Air, All Nippon Airways, Swiss, Turkish Airlines, TAM, and Singapore Airlines. Mostly it would be the airlines that are in the Star Alliance group.
For me it would be ANA Eva Air Singapore Airlines Thai Airways Air China Asiana since these Star Alliance airlines fly to MNL🇵🇭. Oneworld Alliance CX JL QF QR and MH Skyteam KE🇰🇷 CI🇹🇼 MF MU🇨🇳. Leaving their competitor PR to be scrapped
Dear @mrme5654, thank you very much for your information I highly appreciate. Didn't know that. Good to see, that most of the planes from 2021 already left. Have a wonderful weekend.
Great video, I can't believe how many current airliners like the 787 and 737 MAX are parked up? Also if i was a customer storing my airliners at this facility i would be asking why engine protective covers etc are torn and flapping around allowing all the contamination in, It appears to me that these aircraft are not well storage maintained.
As a Dutch one living in Russia it was hard to see those 2 Martinair (MP) MD 11 planes sitting there to be scrapped. While living in USA i flew often with United sad to see those planes like this.... Hopefully those 787 737 Max and lots of younger planes are airborn again... Very impressive video.
Thank you very much for your comment @IlyushinIL76MD I highly appreciate. Its really sad to see thus planes parked. I was there recently and most of them left already. Stay tuned for an update .
@@Kaledrums Ov-10s is a really funny design, I would love to fly this on. Few weeks ago I did my Flight Review flying from Santa Monica to Victorville for some Touch and Go's but only in a Piper.
Hey @sge18992 thanks for your question. I'm not sure whether it's possible or not. But this video was recorded in 2021. Most of the Airplanes are already back in service. You can't get the same "experience" I had in 2021. When I was there in 2023 most of the new airplane left VCV. Maybe you visit a real graveyard like Mojave or others. Have a wonderful day !
It's sad no more 727's (all most none) I think I saw a couple of 757's 747's??? a lot of 787's 777's ,and 1 MD80 and all the DC8's ,707's, L1011 yes I'm old school . But still a very nice video tour !
Thanks Joe, indeed it was a very young fleet of aircrafts, stored there during the pandemic. Actually I only realized one Fedex B727 . Have a great day!
In Bogota Colombia still flying cargo planes 2 727-200 flown by Aerosucre cargo, I live close to the airport I still see them passing by my house's roof lol.
I flew in with a B737 max. After landing we ask the drive to give us a ride around the airplanes. We payed a little tip and got this amazing ride across.
Hi Henry, thanks for your message, actually I don't know this. Since I was flying an Airplane into VCV and we ask the handling to give us a ride across. I think the biggest chance is to land with an airplane (also a SEP) and ask the handling. From outside it might be not possible. Best regards your Captain Max
It just shows how much airlines make.if they can afford to just abandon these beautiful brand new aircraft. What a waste of money to leave these aircraft this way.
Realize, not all the aircraft are going to scrap! A lot of them are just being long term stored, like the 787's and MAX 8's. Airlines are always storing planes they're not using. Victorville is the perfect climate for them.
Yeah most of them back flying. Recently I did some Touch and GO's with a Piper at VCV, most of the Airplanes left the storage already. Stay tuned for the update.
Some of these planes still have " shelf life". Why are they in the Desert when the airlines spent milions of dollars to purchase them? Reminds me of people who throw away a perfectly good cell phone because they were told that the "up-graded" phone was better. Put these planes back in the air and get your money 's worth. If airlines started competing on a service level the way they did in the 70's and 80's, passengers would come back and the demand would be so high, that the boneyard would become like a used car dealership instead of a "junk yard".😮
Hey @jocelynharris-fx8ho, thank you very much for your comment. This video is from mid 2021. Due the Coronavirus pandemic, many airlines reduced the flight, driven by Government restrictions. Thats why so many brand new airplanes were stored there. When I was there few months ago, only the old and really retired planes are still there for scraping and as spare part. Hope it explains it for you. Have a wonderful day.
That Fedex MD-11 in the foreground at 28.07 And the Lufthansa MD-11 in the background are my favorite
