Yeah, and how did he do it? He won the Lego Masters show, which gave him 100,000 dollars, right? Well, that doesn't buy 9000 sets of Lego. And then he's supposedly an entrepreneur who owns several startups and works for Microsoft. Yeah......the guy is what, 16? I don't think so. When a child owns every set of Lego ever released (almost) there's something fishy going on.
In regards to video vs photos, its probably a case where its much easier to ask someone to delete (or take down) a photo that contains something that shouldn't be there vs asking someone to edit or remove a whole video that happened to capture something inappropriate.
@@xwiick Honestly, I don't feel like that plays a large role. The fact everything has been sorted by year of release and that the bookshelves are both stickered to hell with the years and with more ornamental signs on the wooden signs makes me think that thieves will be able to find whatever they end up wanting to steal.
I‘m impressed how precisely you can navigate backwards while talking. Way cooler than just sitting in front of a greenscreen. Keep up the good work! (Btw: I‘ve never bought a lego set and probably never will but I love your videos and enjoy watching your conent) ✌️
@@Takeawayjustin Yeah it was quite a coincidence, but I guessed Chris would upload a LEGO Vault video sometime in the next 6 months, due to his recent trip to Billund, Denmark.
15:20 Hmm not sure but it is the kind of this that you have on compasses for drawing circles, its a screw that hold a pencil in place, looks like that strange
Curiosity question for you Chris, do you have the set 5956 Expedition Balloon? It looks like a very interesting set with the ballon being the part storage and all. Take care & hi from Canada
Wow talk about a time machine. I had a lot of the 70’s and early 80’s sets. One of my favorites was the Star Fleet Voyager space set (6929) you showed at 6:15. Thanks for the trip down memory lane. 😊
The mysterious part at the end reminds me of DUPLO Toolo or something from that era but it's not on Bricklink so it's either too old and not documented, an unused prototype or an in-house tool. No way Lego would include a screw and in that position it's obviously used to grip something cylindrical that's placed inside the hole. A clamping force from a screw could also be a danger hazard to be released as a toy anyway. Besides, if it's really 3d printed then you're sending us on a wild goose chase man...
I attended the 2023 LIT2 and it was just as amazing as Chris describes it here. Just amazing. I accidently found a set they were missing, however! I went looking for the wolfpack set(s) and they did not have 1596-1 Ghostly Hideout. The archivist told me (after she took a day to look into it) it was because it was part of a Castle 3-Pack and thus not a standard retail set.
Sigh I was looking for a picture of my old 80 police station that was a bit nothing of a build but as a kid I sure played a lot with it. No clue what happened to it thru the rebuild and then house moves.
15:31 dunno what the 3d printed thingy is, but the red eye peices are from the lego movie 2 duplo monsters, specigically the ones featured in the movie maker set and the emmet suitcase.
oh my god that is the coolest tour ever. so many childhood memories flooding back in of great kits i wish i still had, and ones i regret not being able to get!
man...i had forgotten how much i loved the adventure series! i had the blimp, it was so sick. and i used that large mummy container for like 15 years just storing random crap. wish i had it back!
Thanks so much for the vault tour! When you build your Lego museum, I can't help but think how successful it would be if you put it in Winter Haven, FL across the street from Legoland Florida or somewhere in Orlando near the flagship Disney Springs Lego Store. There are millions of tourists in these areas every year and many of the biggest Lego fans are already drawn to these areas!
The 2009 was the year I got most of my Lego. Seeing so many sets I recognize between 10:10 - 10:35. I forgot all about those small car Racers sets, I must have around 50 sets from 2008 - 2009
so Cool man! thanks for showing us the value full of boxes. I'm planning on putting all of my boxes in a collage on my classroom wall, (I teach math). You may want to try that for your museum, just a wall of lego boxes for the wallpaper.
Fascinating, I wish there was more corps that would preserve their history like Lego does, so much is lost to time. Do you practice walking backwards like that? I couldn't EXIST in a room as such without breaking something aha
Was hoping to spot one of my old sets and it was there! On the 2015 shelf(yes Im that old lol) set number 6544 Shuttle Transcon 2. I still have the box as well but its built not sealed.
I remember as a kid hearing about "the Lego vault" like it was some secret esoteric knowledge. And I imagined it like it was a bank vault deep in a basement. Then it ends up looking kind of like department store aisles lol.
Man there is no other thing you can do when it comes to Lego man it’s crazy your the biggest fan in the world and I am happy we both live in the same city that’s cool
One thing I am curious about is if sets like 42113 are in it. It was canceled 7 days before release however some stores had sold them early I’m curious if it would be in there
Wow impressive each time I see your collection Im amazed. Glad you had the chance to visit THE place in Billund I had some friends who were lucky to visit the place because they knew a model maker Pierre Normandin who makes city sets Very impressive thanks for sharing and make me dream
I’m assuming that the “No Video” policy is to make it harder for potential thieves to learn the vault’s layout. Especially if they’re looking for specific sets to grab. Like yeah, they have them all in some sort of order by years, but it would be a lot quicker if the thief knew for certain that the set they were trying to steal was in the 4th row, left side, about 3/4 of the way in, and on the 2nd shelf from the bottom. From these photos, the only thing they can discern is possibly which shelf it is on (ie. 1st, 2nd, or 3rd from the bottom) and which sets are around it.
100% Lego theft has become much bigger lately, and likely they updated security measures since the last videos were allowed. A video allows you to really easily document the entire layout, and all of his photos focus on the legos themselves.
I like how this guy has seen people walking and talking with the camera but not realised it’s the camera operator that walks backwards! The presenter doing whilst having to continually look over their shoulder is just weird! 😂
Honestly the video rule is probably for security reasons, I'm sure since the last videos were taken the security measures have been updated (especially since recently lego theft has actually become a fairly large industry) and while recording you could pan around an entire room and then look back over the video for all the security features. If the tour was guided, it would be REALLY hard to take a photo of everything, even doing your best, taking a photo of every single square foot of the ceiling or whatever would be incredibly difficult and the guide would likely notice you doing something odd like, taking a photo of a vent or a window or something. Notice how all your photos are on topic of the lego sets, and not really of the room itself. That's my guess. Casing a room is just easier when you know the exact layout, entries, exits, and security measures.
I actually would love if Lego actually released a legends series where some of the kits from legos past would be re released today but again limited time then back to the vault
Apparently lived under a rock and didn't realize you were on the Lego Masters and won! Sorry about that ... I'll catch up on streaming them someday. Anyway what Is perhaps especially inspirational is that someone that has spent so much time building Lego official sets that you managed to be part of a team that won a Lego Masters. I wouldn't have dreamed that someone who has spent so much time building official designed sets would even enter the Lego Masters competition. So a huge congrats and you have certainly inspired anyone who has ever bought an official set that its ok to cut your teeth on the sets on the toy store shelf and still end up a Lego Master. I suppose having as built as many sets as you have makes you the ingredient master in the team such that like a library collection manager you knew what pieces would be available to meet your team's vision and strategy for a MOC. Then all your set building experience means you build a lot faster than many others do. What I think I've never seen are any personal designs you have so I look forward to see how you participated in the Lego Masters and perhaps how your own creativity shines through each event. I don't think I've seen a single video of yours yet that didn't have something to do with an official set so this is something I really look forward to seeing in the Lego Masters series 4.
So i have a play to act in soon and im going to be the villian and since you acted as the villian in Lego Masters can you give me tips on being a villain
I personally have a lego vault of my own. I have over 150 sealed sets from different eras all kept preserved. And many have very desirable minifigures and sets. If you want i can show you. (via shorts)
Man. You've achieved everything a lego fan could ever dream of. Glowing like a solar flare

I’m impressed at dude walking backward through his collection room and not bumping into anything.
I would've knocked it all down.😅 I wonder if it was on the first take or not?
Walking backwards down the stairs while presenting. Wow
Lego masters are the most generous people I've ever heard of
In regards to video vs photos, its probably a case where its much easier to ask someone to delete (or take down) a photo that contains something that shouldn't be there vs asking someone to edit or remove a whole video that happened to capture something inappropriate.
Also harder to the the layout and locations of things for thief's
@@xwiick - That’s what I was thinking too.

It would be amazing to visit a built Lego museum like you are hoping to eventually make.
The classic space set on the thumbnail I found sealed recently -- so cool to see it here!

Super cool video. 👍
I’m still so blown away you guys gotta go there and cannot think of any two guys more deserving!!! 💪
So cool you got to see the vault!🔥. Thank you LEGO for opening it up for the world to see.

What a coincidence

theres other vault videos?

i think the same. maybe this was for some kind of spirograph but lego could not sell it because of copyright

So you're saying your house ISN'T the Lego vault?
Impressive but what's more impressive is how you walked through that set-up backwards without hitting anything.
Glad to see you have grown so much in subs. Keep doing so well and enjoy the adventures!

I don’t watch Lego content at all, but some of these sets triggered core memories I didn’t even know I had lmao
2:16 that green ninjas are a lot of bucks and missing in my ninja palette.

You have more LEGO in your basement than LEGO Group HQ has in their vault.

3:07 So you are saying you might have more sets than this vault? I believe you

The 928 set (first set as a child) the reason I am about to spend about 10k on Legos…mission accomplished. 🤣

I have a set that I'm pretty sure the vault doesn't have, and I have another set that's in better sealed condition than the copy in the vault.

Is it me or can I hear bury the light from dmc5 at the start
what would they do if you just took 60 pictures every second when you were walking around in there
Awesome video, i could definitely imagine spending more than 2 hours there 😄
PS: That zoom-in/zoom-out editing made me kinda nauseous 😵💫
Bro didn't look for the cancelled temple of doom set...
Believe me, I did 😂, that and the cancelled Spiderman Wrestling set and Overwatch Year 2 :( - but all cancelled sets have been removed rip
