I remember riding up from Houston TX with two pals for this race. First time visiting this track. We slept in the station wagon. The driver just happened to have bad case of athletes foot - his toes were burning and itching. haha It was neat to see some big names racing. We were about 17 yrs old.
Dang I sure miss that place , glad my son got to race the last three Spring Nationals held there before they closed it down. Very special place.
