Well, that’s fine-I still like chess better than go, but I’m getting there. I wonder what go history would be like, if it had the same predominance as chess in the west, and vise versa.
Lol, that comment hurt but objectively I could see it being true. Long time casual chess player and only discovered the existence of go last week. I am thoroughly fascinated.
I think chess could and should be improved. For instance, allowing pieces to move through their own would make the whole experience feel a lot less clumsy. This would make the knights much less powerful, but they could be boosted by allowing them to go twice per move. There you have it: easily a much better game. Go would still be 10x more interesting, though.
Nice facts. I learned many things thanks ! I think though it's not necessary to attack chess or any other game since it's not really a fact about go. Keep it up. I love how you share great topics with a lot of research behind.
Amazing video. Glad I now know Huang Longchi! The math at the end is a fun way to end. What an accomplishment of the human mind to have opened a door to such an advanced level of math that is truly astounding when considered to be wrapped up in a game as simply designed as Go. That last sentence may of a little run on. I wonder how Huang Longchi would have faired against Alpha Go? Thanks again for the video.
i think there could have been some more cool facts but still cool video, your editing is good and i like the flow of it. Just a question how long have you been playing? for me i been playing 3 months and i am just in love with this game, i feel like i will play it for the rest of my life.
Yup it seems like not a lot ahah but tbh I don't have a lot and I don't want to use them all :X I have been playing for 3 years now, and yes like you even when I started I felt like it was already a part of my life. Never saw another board game having so much power on people...
Sorry for the Chess players, I had to do it :'(
Chess IS a boring game!

Thank you ! Sorry if it gave the impression I attacked chess, it was just a stupid taunt for the little war between Go and Chess :)
Great video, love learning more about the game I play so much.
LOL at number 6. Your videos are so well done! Really can't beat this production quality in the go world.
Man just never stop doing thoses videos
Nice video! Love what you're doing with this channel. Go is such a deep game it deserves more attention in the Anglosphere!
Keep going, we need more go's videos in english
I made quite a pause here, but now that I finally have some time I'm coming back :)

The music was distracting.
But your content is INCREDIBLE.
Let your content stand on its own.
I'd say it's time for a new video
Did not have a lot of time recently, but I finished the script of the next one :)
What is that amazing first song you've got going on in the background?

Interesting fact is that the game Go has more board positions than Chess, and Stratego has even more board positions than even Go!
