This was the last thing I replaced on my Steam Boiler. I fixed it! I wish I had seen this on my part adventure. My Rocket R58 is over 10 years old. The film got to it. Good one! Thank you!

thanks for this vid. My city has really bad hard water problems. Water softeners are par for the course. I've had the Lelit Lisa machine for about 6 months, and it started overheating, and I'd bet money this is the exact problem.

"We are not water experts". Based on one of your other prior videos, that is an understatement. But this video was much better. SCA recommends a TDS of 150 (of course with the proper balance of minerals and there are plenty of good espresso friendly water recipes available).

    Hi Jim,
I recently started running into issues with my lelit mara x in regards to uncontrolled steam pressure, and the pump kicking on near the end of the heating cycle, leading to a rapid build up in pressure and spilling into the drip tray. Is there somewhere better I could contact you to see if you are able to help me with this problem? I have a more detailed explanation and a few videos of the issue at hand and would greatly appreciate your help.

Thank you so much for this vid.
My Question is ‘’ Could this (sensor corrosion ) be the reason my Lelit Bianca PID went off (no display)’’

It is one of several possibilities. There are other possibilities as burnt wires, bad brain, bad LLC, safety thermostats tripping, etc.

@@1st-lineequipment I am really thankful for your valuable info!
You wouldn’t imagine how poor Lelit support reply was!!

I was experiencing extreme overheating this am for the first time on this machine in 8 years. I found this video and it’s a great explanation, especially after seeing all the build up on the sensor I thought this was the culprit for sure. Unfortunately after cleaning the sensor thoroughly I am
Still experiencing over heating. Do you have any more suggestions?

FYI.. I use mostly distilled water and sometimes mix in up to 20% filtered water.

hey did your machine stop working when overheating? mine suddenly the water does not come out, i reckon it would be due to overheating... i have turned it off and now waiting to cool down, hopefully the machine will work again i'm worried

My machine only overheats occasionally. A couple of times per month, during warm-up, the temperature on the PID starts jumping around (like flickering). This eventually leads to the safety valve blowing. Is this a faulty PID? Or is it the probe?

@@romankilun1527 Hi. I unplugged all the cables going in to the PID and re-attached them! This solved the problem 😂 .. Nothing fancy or complicated.. I just unscrewed the top panel.. Pulled out the cables going in to the PID and reattached them. I haven't had the issue since (8 months now).

Basically the information is helpful, but it would be best to show the solution of the problem by an example on a machine.

With my coffee machines, they either always end up overheating to a scary degree, or the pump breaks. 😭
