Theyre serious fun huh!. My mechanic popped in my upgraded brakes and I picked it up this morning. Oh man, they're so much better with excellent brakes! And his son took it around the block and said, "This IS the best car I've ever driven!!" Haha, yeah, it's like Mitsubishi went mad, popping Evo bits in an SUV (albeit a small one). The only issue I've had was the Evo 4 brakes are subpar for the weight. I found a great OEM plus solution, the 2.4L Outlanders front disc's and hangers (moves the calipers out a couple cm to allow for bigger discs) and then added EBC Green Stuff pads.
Kind of like an Evo Cross. Lol they could literally do this again with the 4th Gen Outlander, with the PHEV system they also have..... yet they still give it underpowered engines...... (less than 200 hp, had a first gen Outlander with a 4G69 long time ago).
They'd have a hard time with emissions. The customers would love it, but the tax man and emissions people would have kittens OR charge people an absolute fortune. Also, my 2005 Airtrek Turbo R is about 3,500lbs. The modern Outlander is 4,500lbs. so it would have to be a really tuned up 4G63T to match the handling and performance. Sadly I think most fun cars are either super expensive or extinct.
I haveeeeeee oneeeeeeee god is gooddddd

Good car. Low 9 sec ET potential on quarter mile...)
They are very peppy for an early SUV!
I know. I've got 2 of them. One is 750hp and the other one is 600hp)))

@@bustersgarage True the chances are very slim. 😅 enjoy what we can for now.

Exactly that enjoy proper fuel while we have it, I'm done caring about mpg anymore I'd rather pay the extra and enjoy my cars
Why no English sub after the start
I add them in my spare time. :D I've just been busy lately. hehe I hope to do some more soon
Airtrek turbo r 4g63
Yes, same engine as the Evolution 7/8, but mildly detuned :)
@@bustersgarageNot quite right. The engine is like the Evo 4.
