- We had been touring the album “Act Your Age” for years on our own with no tour support. It was a relentless rinse and repeat of touring cycles throughout the United States that consisted of 10 months on the road each year. Unbeknownst to us the label we had signed to (Outpost Recordings, a label subsidiary of Geffen founded by Scott Lit and Mark Williams, two great guys with great vision) was soon being merged into Interscope Records when Universal Music Group acquired Polygram in 1999.
Long story short, our record was caught in limbo. Funding was halted and we were stuck in a contract that wandered its way through the mysterious halls of cooperate reorganization. It was during this time we as a band decided to do what we did best, tour our hearts out. We believed in the record and worked hard to promote it.
It was in these years that Drive Thru Records had approached us with an offer. We loved their passion for music and the scene and heart for the punk rock touring scene. We soon signed and released Kings of Pop in 2002. Perseverance paid off, and we were grateful to be a part of their family.
This song, Tomorrow, was written at home in the midst of these years of touring. As fun and adventurous as touring can be, when your gone most of the year there isn’t much to come home to that resembles what it once was.. It was within one of the these more melancholy nights (or should I say earlier mornings) that this song was birthed.
And again..your comments mean the world. It’s honestly the main reason why I’m doing this, to connect with all of you and share stories together. nearly 20 years later and still got it! went to a ton of your shows back in the day. can play every song from act your age and kings of pop, still rip them every now and again on the acoustic...used to cover a lot of HG songs and they still smack!

I used to listen to this song while playing Surf's Up in the mid to late 2000s. Revisiting the song as a 19 year old, I have to say it's one of my favorite pop punk songs.

Wow man. I had an itch to listen to this album and I find you on here with these versions. Awesome time machine back to when we drove our cars around the town for hours just replaying our favorite CDs.
I do miss the days of cds. Listening to albums (and reading the liner notes) is a lost art.

Kings of Pop got me through the days I thought were so tough as a teen and this songs still helps bring peace even now that I'm almost 40. I was in a group of 3 teens trying to get into a soldout show in downtown SLC and you guys were so nice to us and even tried to swing something to get us in, but weren't able. That meant the world to us and made us even happier to be huge fans! That album was the soundtrack for me and my buddies and I have so many memories tied to it. Thank you so much for sharing your hearts and dreams with us!
I had this song cued up on a cd alarm clock. Track 1 on kings of pop every day for like 2 years. Just a great way to start the day. Great to see these songs get some love.

My dad passed recently and he was listening to Kings of Pop a lot a few weeks prior. Music was our thing and this song in particular just hits. It’s so goood . And it’s very fun to play drums to haha. The chorus after the bridge just goes crazy !!

Best pop-punk album hands down! No pun to Dashboard. Still to this day, this album stands the test of punk rock time. It is my favorite and that's saying a lot because my favorite band is Blink. You guys made the right choice of playing all of your songs on this album in half step down.

Adam, you sound amazing! I love the chord inversions and the passion. Just missing one voice... I saw you guys 20+ times in SD at places like Epicenter, Canes, Soma, etc. You guys always put on an incredible show! Funny as hell, crazy jumps, punk rock energy. You were the best. I met you once at a coffee shop in Murieta and you were totally cool and talked with me. So glad you're back at it and can't wait to hear new stuff!

I can't begin to express how much I love this song! Today I listened to the studio version for the first time in a few years and my head started banging uncontrollably, hands clinched around the steering wheel and shaking my car around. I get so pumped up listening to this song! I'm also 40, and not ashamed of my actions.

Will never forget seeing you guys in the tent at warped tour San Antonio right after this album came out .. Some band called yellowcard played either before or after... And there was no stage lol

I was thinking maybe DADGAD or this tuning I found and tweaked. It's like essentially open D with the high e and b tuned to each other for that 12 string vibe. The ope. Tuning I think would be EAD-tune d and g together on the 7th not 5th, then tune g and b to the 5th not the fourth..then tune high e to a matching open b. Trust me dude this is a super fun tuning. Also- really stoked you commented. Kinda made my day.
