- INJURED Military Veterans family was forced to NEGLECT their lawn because of NO MONEY so I offered to do It for FREE
When I knock at this door a lady answered the door, So I asked if they want their yard cut, she said they were broke, So I offered to do it for FREE. She was very thankful. This yard took me a little over 7 hours. Every time I get off work I would put in 2-3 a day and after 3 visits I was finally able to finish up the front. I did a lot of branches trimming and knocked back some of their branches and it gave it a little more spacious at the end. Thank you all for the love and support.

Thank YOU , From a Veteran. That have seen many Veterans that have been injured and served our Country discarded , even our own Military treat our Veterans really bad its a Disgrace. They built a brand new Multi Million dollar state of the Art Hospital at Fort Belvoir , to help with the Veterans that use too go to the old Walter Reed Hospital in D.C. They Closed it and now if you want too be seen you must go too Walter Reed Bethesda, but not Fort Belvoir, even that was what they were built for . It is an under used Hospital because they still think they only serve the Base Personnel . What a SHAME. Whenever I have to be there it takes pulling of teeth even too just get scribes. After a lot of talking and phone calls , I get things done. But like I tell them, it should not be that difficult. Once again Thank You

Obviously neighbors know this family, yet no one would step up to help... what a absolute shame. It's a real Indiana Jones yard to deal with. Thank you for helping them out. It took a huge burden off their lives to give them yard pride

WOW!! SO now I wonder why the neighbor's couldn't give a helping hand once or even once in two weeks! Thank the good LORD, that you knocked on their door. The front was a lot of work, but man you cleaned it up and it looks FANTASTIC!! I'm sure that they are very happy that it looks very nice. GOOD WORK ALL AROUND! 💯👍😎

I don’t understand neighbors. I’m sure if they were in the position this family is in, they would wish someone would help them. It’s not about money, it’s about doing the right thing to help someone. I don’t have an answer. Thank you for helping these people!

I'm a disabled vet and while watching this i had tears in my eyes the whole time. What a shame this neighborhood just let this disabled veterans yard get this bad. Now this family feels like someone cares. Thank you Chris.

I cannot believe that the neighbors have not offered to help a veteran & his family. Geez, I used to shovel snow for my elderly neighbors & I didn't even know them. It's so rewarding when you give from your heart. Maybe you can't help financially, but there are other ways to help people. Thank yiu Cris, for your compassion, kindness & care. This cleanup made a world of difference. A big burden and overwhelming feeling of loss of control have been lifted from this family. That was a remarkable effort and you should be given a medal. Was satisfying to watch you chop down those woody weeds. I hope they can now at least mow the lawn to keep it from looking abandoned. Unfortunately, it almost never happens and in short time becomes a jungle again.
Maybe there are veteran volunteers or services out there who can help from time to time.
Amaizing lawn clean up. Can tell you not only are not afraid of work, but you are very exacting in doing even a free job. You put in hours, for several days, after work, and restored the overgrown front yard in that time. Thank you for keeping an eye out and giving these people needed help. Now in-line with the neighborhood, navigable, safe, a place to gather and play outdoors, etc. Good example for the kids, that someone cared and persisted. Looking forward to the backyard as well. Nice work restoring the gutter and street edge. (Neat bird nest. Hummingbird?) The design lines are refound and it looks pleasant, neat and orderly.

That tall shrub by the driveway was a crepe myrtle. The main trunk may be dead, which is why it looks like it was trying to grow back from the base. Pick 3 stems, save them, and cut the rest down, and start over. They are very hardy. The shrub with the birds nest in it was quince. It has thorns, which is why birds love to nest in it. The bush by the house front was variegated Euonymous, and when it grows out solid green you cut those sections out, and it should come back only green with white leaves. Stellar job you did!
