The song at 2.40 is a combination of the words of the welsh song 'Calon Lan' set to the music of the New Zealand song 'Pokarekare Ana' - arranged by Alwyn Humphreys
I've always heard that the Welsh were blessed in a special way with a gift of music . How beautifully filled with the passion and glory of their national treasure .
How I look forward to joining such hosts in heaven when we stand before His Exalted Magnificence, His Awesome Majesty, the King of Kings and Lord of lords, Jesus Christ and sing His praises.
don't wait, you can join him right now, it matters not where you are, what time it is in your country it all joins up, in theSpirit world, and God Hears, it all, he misses nothing, he hears and seese everything, Amen! 🙏🏻
I just found this! I love male choirs and know the Welsh male choirs are legendary. Germans also had their male choir tradition. Even when transplanted to Texas, they would hold concerts.
This is in memory of my mother who had such a lovely singing voice. When I survive the wondrous, cross it bring tears to my eyes as my mother was a true christian and went to the Gospel Hall in Treherbert every Sunday as we did when we were young there we heard great singing too
I am from the Victoria Welsh Choir based in Blackburn (Melbourne) and participated in the Massed male Choir event in the Albert Hall in 1995. I was seated next to Richard Burton's brother and he congratulated me on my Welsh pronunciation. Our female soloist was honoured to sing Unwaith Eto'n 'Nghymru Annwyl at that event. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to the whole programme with most of the songs part of our repertoire. Glad the Festival continues to be celebrated.
When I survive the wondrous cross is another song that brings tears to my eyes as I think of my mother who had such a lovely singing voice and when my mother sang this song with feeling as she was a true christian brought up iin the Gospel Hall where there was great singing I attended the mentioned with my mother and brother mostly every Sunday
This is a Truly Great Singing Concert; Great Singing great atmosphere Can't beat Welsh Male Voice choirs Including the Treorchy Male Voice Choir we knew a Couple of Men who sang in the mentioned Choir. One lived near to us
MY father used to drive the Treorchy Male Voice Choir to various concerts in a coach we came from Gelli in the Rhondda valley not far from Treorchy in the Rhondda
When my mother sung in Welsh it was great to hear as my mother had a great singing voice and could sing a very good high note too One of my aunt's could speak prefect Welsh as her father came from Carmarthen where Welsh was spoken more so than in the Rhondda. and my aunt spoke Welsh with her father when they met
CWM RHONDDA THE SONG REALLY GET'S ME GOING WHEN SUNG BY. A WELSH CHOIR OR BY A FULL CAPACITY CROWD AT THE PRINCIPALITY STADIUM IN CARDIFF WHEN WALES PLAY AGAINST A NATINAL SIDE AT RUGBY ESPECIALLLY ENGLAND OUR ARCH ENEMY IT BRINGS TEARS TO MY EYES AND I ALSO CRY AS I AM PROUD TO BE WELSH
Seems to me a great event fans, if anyone had fun, then REPLAY the concert, why not? Instead of the Past let the future look this good, the beauty of the web connection is that your supporters like me are here to encourage you guys, let it happen again, you can ask your followers, who wants it the REPLAY? I do.
This is as grea,t as it is sung by the crowd at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff before the Home Rugby International matcH I think if I was a Welsh International Player and heard this sung before the match I would be worked up to do my best on the field of play and really tear into the opposing side Especially if it is England; "Cwm Rhondda" is the song better than the Welsh National Anthum which is a Great Song too
I have grandparents whose families came here from Wales, Scotland, Ireland & Germany, called "Pennsylvania Dutch" Coal miners from Pennsylvania, and other coal mining regions in the US: they would NEVER SING ALLEGIANCE to the Royal House of Windsor. Please celebrate your true ancestry, and shed medieval politics!
SHED, YOUR HATRED, AND, GROW UP, FORGIVE,R YOUR SINSWILLNOT FORGIVEN, BY THE LORD JESUS, YOU, COULD BE STANDING BEFORE HIM IN THE NEXT SECOND, FOR JUDGEMENT, THINK ABOUT THAT, & WHERE YOU WILL GO, HEAVEN IS NOT PROMISED TO EVERYONE, ONLY, TO THOSEOF US WHO, ARE, BLOOD BOUGHT, BoRN AGAIN CHRISTIANS,read, John, chap 3, Verse3, l am sure, your grandparents would know this, if not, then, hopefully, they repented for teaching you to hate, GOD, IS LOVE, HE IS NOT INTO HATRED. you AR NOT ASKED TO SING, ALLEGIECE TO THE HOUSE OF WINDSOR, YOU'RE ASKING GOD TO PROTECT & SAVE THEM,, JUST AS HIS PEOPLE DOFOR FOOLISH PEOPLE LIKE YOU, AMEN! 🙏🏻
I do hope the younger generations are able to keep this fabulous music going for years to come !

I can hear my Grandpa and all the uncles. It brings tears of joy.
In this day if this music could carry over the front lines of the Ukraine...it would say something the world should hear.
Utterly outstanding. All these men singing their hearts out, giving their time for free for the love of music.
I know that us Welsh can talk. But, the general rule during a concert is: "More singing and less talk." Diolch, Cymry! B :)

Not a single 'down vote!'
How it should be.
maravilhoso
At least a thousand strong choir there?
"With a Voice of Singing" 1:34:08
I was hoping to sing there with the choir I was in but the top Welsh choirs said it was too far beneath them.
I'd have imagined there were some people on Facebook at 0700!

1:51:00 is so beautiful.
Remember the movie 101 Dalmatians ?
Dear Brother. Kindly let me know the Song name 2.40 . Thank you
I’m trying to figure out how the singers are positioned. Are they with their own groups? Are they in sections? Fabulous!!
Who cares, I love it.
@@lewissmith3896Someone who wants to learn from them cares
Singing in 4 sections, bass baritone, second tenor & top tenor all from different welsh choirs
16:41
How is the song called starting at 2:50:04 ?
It's 'Gwahoddiad' - and I was one of the men privileged to be singing it that evening. 🙂
pity there's no listing of the songs being sung ...

and… Calon lan was ruined.
Beautiful singing but video of poor quality. SA National Anthem excellent. I'm from SA.
Awful start, completely unnecessary for Welsh choirs to lick the boots of an outdated monarchy
