I made it my personal pleasure to speak to Harvey in 77 on the warning track at the Barnum festival. Harvey in his 60s at least . Just small talk . Why did I do it ? Probably because I felt his passion and commitment should be recognized by all . I at 29 would make it my lifelong passion as well . A.commonality that would transcend time and distance . He was warm, friendly, welcoming . A good soul . Glad to say I took the time . ... A good memory A fellow competitor on the field yet much beyond that , I miss him .
Bobby Chop...I think he went down in just about every show he ever marched in, from his days with the PAL through his many years with the Corps...Funny story...Chop missed a show that year and Gabby filled the hole this one time...out of respect for Chop and his history, Gabby took a courtesy dive at the end! HA!
