During Saturday's Clutters Park aviation extravaganza, F/O Jay and Captain Stephen requested a south runway departure. Seeing a Lufthansa 747 in the south complex is exceptionally rare. Not only did LH457 depart in the south side of LAX, the did so in Spectacular Fashion! Shine The Light by the Flight crew and big waves to the LA Flights family. Oh yeah, if that wasn't enough, we also had a big ATC shout-out too!😁😎🇩🇪✈️

Awesome! Feels like the kind of thing that the chief pilot will eventually say "no more of that!" to, but let's enjoy it while it lasts. If that chief pilot reads these comments, hopefully they realize the PR benefits of it. I love Lufthansa even more because of it.

I'll admit that it was pretty cool seeing this live as well as the Lufthansa flight requesting one of the south runways just to flash their landing lights at you and wave to you.

I worked for Lufthansa Technik many years ago and I can affirm the people at Lufthansa Group are just the best people I have ever been associated with for work or otherwise ....
