  • Welcome to Dominica for a new culinary discovery!
Dominica is a small independent island located between Guadeloupe and Martinique. It has been nicknamed the "Nature Isle of the Caribbean" for its unspoiled natural beauty.
Dominican cooks know how to reinvent plenty of traditional recipes coming from the Caribbean. This time, our host is Daphne, she will show us the leading products of the market: coconuts, exotic fruits, fresh fish,...
And Joseph, a famous local chef, will teach us the recipes of Creole chicken and grilled mahi-mahi. We'll also get to try the famous plantain cod bites.
    Hungry yet?
From the film: "What's cooking in the world - Dominica"
    Direction: Salvatore Guadagnino
Production: MC 4 - TEDANHO PRODUCTIONS ODYSSEE - TV Rennes 35

Your pronunciation is incorrect ... the emphasis is on the penultimate syllable (DominEEka) ... not DoMINica .. which is how the Dominican Republic is pronounced ... sorry to be pedantic .. but is is one of the main reasons the islands get mixed up,

Reminds me of Afroca. We eat the same food. The local markets remind me of the markets in Africa.
