I think we know… I knew who she was at 14 years old when _Light Years_ came out in 2000. But of course I liked a lot of uk, Aussie and European music lol. But don’t forget how in 2001, the FEVER album hit No. 3 on the Billboard charts. So people were feeling her and at least got to know her. She’s no longer a “who’s that?” in America. Not since 2001. She’s had plenty of appearances on DWTS and other big shows too…
The problem is that Kylie simply hasn't sold that many albums or had chart topping singles in the States. So a bigger venue wouldn't be full or sell out.
Love her. Love the high notes at the end. Love that she doesn't need to pull a jlo & have crazy choreography because it's about the presence of the song & connection. Everyone has their superpower. Get it Kylie!
I think the dancers were fine...it's a much smaller stage so they can't march around as much, I think the key thing is Kylie's closing opera styled vocal that people enjoy. As long as she keeps doing that in each YDNY performance, it will be a good one.
Like many other great singers, kylie has brought us some amazing songs over the years,but lately just feel like many others she's digging deep in the bucket..but always will be a great vocalist..❤️🙏🌏
Ugh. I’m so conflicted. The small scale and vegas audience kind of remind me of cruise ship entertainment for some reason. I get it’s supposed to be small and intimate. Maybe to experience this live, but it just has a not good enough for Kylie vibe. But maybe it impacts different in person.
Kylie can shine in a big venue and in a small place like this but the creative director for this let her down. The routines should have been more interesting. Her reveal at the start should have been more dramatic. They should have built a diamond structure and when it turns around, there's Kylie. I know my take is not the best but at least i tried to think of something

Kylie should have worn a hat of some sort. The dancers are wearing something campy and Kylie should have camped it up. The gold dress is her best costume here but still missing something. Her reveal should have been more dramatic..like maybe sitting on a clear chair that looks like a diamond etc.

I was at one of the Aphrodite dates in London-the visual themes choreography elaborate stage sets & costumes would've better suited a residency here had it not been so intimate. My highlight was when she broke into There Must Be An Angel-the goosebumps
This is not a tour, this is a Vegas residency in a small venue. It would be stupid to expect a Aphrodite kind of show. Just wait for the Tension tour next year, that’s going to be more along the lines of what we know from her

It is an ok show for a festival tour wherein you are part of a line up of singers but they should have done something special for Vegas. So surprised bec it does not look like it is from them..the black and red latex ones..The gold dress is the only ok one.

So agree. I have been ranting about this. The choreo, the outfit. It would have been better if it is Kylie Unplugged and she would tell stories to the crowd between songs as opposed to uninspired performance like this. The idea is based on a small space like Studio 64, and it's an intimate setting! It's not meant to be a full tour, that will come next year. If you want to see how much spectacle she brings, watch the Aphrodite tour! Madonna definitely did when she "borrowed' it for the SuperBowl.
I’m a huge Kylie fan but this is Kylie on a budget. The staging, the dancers are so bad, and the venue looks like a school hall. Anyone who has seen a Kylie concert outside of the US knows the quality of her shows and this is so disappointing. Genuinely surprised at this and glad I didn’t spend the money to go and see this.

The residency needs to move to a bigger venue, without serving food and drinks during the show! The QUEEN deserves some RESPECT.

I think that they were trying to cater to a mainly straight audience. A bit too musclebound for my liking-except maybe the long-haired young one

Have to agree ..dancers are “ overdressed” and some of those movements are shockers.
I was expecting a more spectacular show it’s very casual and Radom when you compare it to the Fever or X-Tour ,the choreography and the electric robot details are missing .The residency isn’t serving any of it :/.
It's at a tiny ballroom. It's intimate. It's actually fab.
She's at a one thousand capacity nightclub so can't put on a big scale show.
@@pobstrelwhat are talking about? Size of the venue has nothing to do with choreography, it doesn't matter at all. And it's a residency so you don't need move the set up from one city to another, you can make something really spectacular

Yup! Extremely! Someone needed to tell that obnoxious/arrogant woman to sit her a$$ down! She did NOT need to stand up the ENTIRE time and block everyone else's view of the show! She got a seat in the front for a reason! The whole point is that she could see everything from her unobstructed view seat. So she shouldn't have to stand up! It's obviously not meant to be a standing type of concert. There's tables and chairs for a reason. I know you're having a good time and all, but everyone else is trying to have a good time too and you're being really inconsiderate of others, so SIT YOUR SELFISH A$$ down B.
I love kylie but compared to madonna celebration tour this is a hamster.

The idea is based on a small space like Studio 64, and it's an intimate setting! It's not meant to be a full tour, that will come next year. If you want to see how much spectacle she brings, watch the Aphrodite tour! Madonna definitely did when she "borrowed' it for the SuperBowl.

I’m a huge Kylie fan but this is Kylie on a budget. The staging, the dancers are so bad, and the venue looks like a school hall. Anyone who has seen a Kylie concert outside of the US knows the quality of her shows and this is so disappointing. Genuinely surprised at this and glad I didn’t spend the money to go and see this.

This goes for 6 months straight. I'm gonna predict she takes 6 months rest after this but will produce another great album because she loves making music, then a world tour, where we will see Kylie at her best, not this vegas venue. Please stop filming and posting live productions it's so disrespectful to any artist. #LoveKylie

Kylie is awesome as always, but the background dancers' choreography is ridiculously bad.
It’s all very flat isn’t it - Kylie hardly doing anything at all - vocally ok but sloppy on the vibrato and just not doing it for me.
