Seattle Studio Apartment tour// UW Mercer Court

Hey everyone! In today's video I will be doing a studio apartment/dorm tour at my University of Washington Mercer Court room. I am a recent alumni of the University and have lived in their encamps housing for all 4 years. Mercer Court apartments have been my home for 3 of those years and I've lived in a variety of room styles. Please check out those other videos if you're interested.

Thank you! I think a suite would be nice, a studio would work too but it would definitely be a tight space. Up to you if you’re ok with having less personal space but both are nice options

Your video was really helpful in seeing the layout and everything! I’m planning on living in the studio apartments in Mercer next year and I was wondering how did cost factor into living here since it’s so expensive? Also, how were you able to pay for it?

I was able to work out personal finances to cover the costs but I know not everyone can afford to live here. It really just depends person to person but there are a lot of other good apartment options at or around UW if Mercercourt doesn’t fit into your budget

I honestly don’t remember but if you search for single apartments there should be a few options!

I'm considering moving into Mercer Courts for the summer. Since the buildings are next to a bridge, is noise from traffic an issue?

It wasn’t bad, the road closest to the building is where you hear most traffic but not the freeway. Only really an issue if you keep your windows open

Hi! Is Mercer Court located in a safe area? Do you have any tips regarding safety?

It is in a fairly safe area, as safe as Seattle can get. Be alert, don’t go near the Burke Gilman trail when it’s dark and always carry something for self defense. UW/ Seattle has become much more unsafe but Mercer court isn’t nearly as bad
