LOC MASTER I have been appreciating your skill, comedy, and candor for 4yrs now. During that time, I had traditional locs.... cut them out and restarted them, this time with braid locs. I know that you have a personal life but we're sure glad you take the time out to remind us that, "WE're the only ones with distinctive hair like this". So support the family. My hair is growing really good but I know it would be in so much better shape if I didn't relocate back to Louisiana and you was able to continue to take care of my hair for me. I know people get tired of me saying well Damain say do this or do that. I don't allow anyone to put anything in my hair that you don't recommend because I know that you are very knowledgeable when it comes to taking care of Locs.

Thanks for this 👏🏼. I've had my locs for 15 beautiful years and can confirm unfortunately air pollution resides in our hair. After temporarily working outside in a polluted environment, this became very apparent to me! I shampoo my locs every other wash which has worked out for me 🙌🏼

I'm interested in knowing Damien's opinion on the transition to a "no butters/no oils" method of caring for natural hair. Just shampoo, condition, leave-in spray, and styling foam or gel. I've been learning that oils and butters don't actually give our hair as much moisture as we think.

Been using this system for a year & it really keeps the locs buildup free and healthy at the root. I do find the clarifying shampoo (oat protein henna) to be quite intense since I also live in an area with hard water so I now clarify every couple of months rather than every single month. Really great method for healthy locs. Wish I found out about this earlier in my loc journey.

Thank u thank u! I can't figure out for the life of me why I can't keep moisture in my hair. It's hella dry and I'm sooooo over it. I sent this vid to my husband so I'm hoping we can get these products for my hair and also use the tips you gave as well to maintain moisture.
