Red Bean Paste for Steam Bun, Mochi, Tang Yuan | 红豆馅

  • This red bean paste can be used as filling for steam buns, mochi, tang yuan and etc. This red bean paste recipe removes the red bean skin, so the texture is more smooth compared to those that do not remove the skin.
    Ingredients:
    400 grams red bean 红豆400克 (Shopee: shope.ee/3KofZ...)
    6-7 pandan leaves 香兰叶 6-7片 (Shopee: shope.ee/7zb4C...)
    180-205 ml vegetable oil 菜油 180-205毫升 (Shopee: shope.ee/5pWZc...)
    125 grams sugar 糖 125克 (Shopee: shope.ee/8UXKp...)
    125 grams brown sugar 红糖125克 (Shopee: shope.ee/5KZjx...)
    90 grams rock sugar 蜂蜜冰糖 90克 (Shopee: shope.ee/foV2b...)
    25 grams tapioca starch + 60 ml water 木薯淀粉 25 克 + 水 60 毫升 (Shopee: shope.ee/404vV...)
    a pinch of salt 盐 少许

    You cook Red bean will to sweet
    or not Put so much sugar. i Like less sugar. Can Make moonCake filling.
    Red bean paste keep in fridge Can keep how long. Now i waiting u reply me OK thanks

      If use for mooncake filling, substitute starch with glutinous rice flour. Keep in fridge about 1 week. Freezer can last a month to 3 months. Less sugar no problem. More sugar last longer

    Can you use banana leaves instead of pandan?

      Hmm 🤔 never tried but don’t think it’s suitable. Pandan has a very fragrant smell something like vanilla pod. So recommend to use pandan
