what i really liked about this channel is it's pretty straight forward. only important processes are shown and disregards the things that wont need too much of explanation, coz why explain every little tiny bit of things that you do in every single cake every week? also, videos are short and the design ideas and techniques are superb. good job keep em coming

JJR your videos are like therapy. I’m sure you’ve heard it before. All your cakes are super elegant and I truly love the the “trim, crumb coat, final coat sequence.” It’s my favourite part of every video as sad as that may sound. Is there any chance you could do a video on decorating like an old Christmas or wedding cake on white royal icing instead of fondant? Not sure if you’ve done one already. Also did royal icing go out of fashion at some point in the professional world? Thanks again for all the beautiful videos.

I tried making my first real cake last night.... i didn't have a beater or a round cake tin or baking paper, I ran out of butter for the buttercream, I bought marzipan thinking it was royal icing (the picture on the packet was deceiving) and to top it all off, the cat jumped on the table and had a go at the cake. So attempt 1.... I learnt a lot. hahah but Thankyou Joshua John Russell for inspiring me to try :)
another super awesome cake! why do you trim before you crumb coat? also, why do you need to panel with modelling chocolate and not apply it like fondant? x
im supposed to be studying....i have three tests and a paper due in three days one of those tests isnt even in english and a bunch of one page bonus assignments i need in order to pass my classes....i havent slept all week and got up at 6am just to finish two presentations that were due today....and yet i just watched like 12 videos in a row and im not stopping now....
