I am Vietnamese I read Chinese history since my high school years suggested by my father. I like Chinese culture but I honestly think Chinese communists destroys thousand year old Chinese culture. A small example of modern Chinese history, when Vietnam was under French rule and China was fighting Western colonialists, a young Vietnamese revolutionary name Pham Hong Thai tried to assassinate French Indochina governor Martial Merlin at Victoria hotel belonging to English sector. He failed. Pursued by police he threw himself on the Châu Giang ( 珠江, ) river. It was in 1924. Chinese revolutionaries located his body and even built his solemn grave to show respect of his patriotism. His grave is now still in Guangzhou, southern China. Chinese education today teaches students hatred and excessive patriotism.
This is not communism but authoritarian capitalism . Marx ideology actually encouraged culture as it was what made us humans and fullfiled. Hé fought against inequalities and wanted workers to have right .
Students are encouraged to report on each other. So the 'laughter' you see from other students, is the knowledge that this guy just threw his life away. The university probably expelled him.
@@DUFFAL02 he knows what he's talking about. Such a communist state have never existed where people were not expected to report on each other. Eastern Germany under Soviet occupation is a great example of that. With 16,4 million people population they had 260 thousand agents working for secret police service and they had files on 5,6 million people. So one agent was looking after approx 20 people, kept track of them, reported on their activities, investigated their private lives and activities. A third of population was under constant survivalence. And those are very conservative numbers, because the second thing communists are known for is covering up each other. They would snich on everyone around but they would always cover other communists like an organized crime group. Which they in fact are.

While China no longer has free secondary education, one of the biggest issues with "free" secondary education is that it's generally controlled by the govt as a way to indoctrinate youth before they get to be free thinking adults. Regardless of the tuition, China has been forcing assimilation through fear and indoctrinating for decades. It happens even in the U.S. This kids parents either taught him well covertly or he's broken the spell himself. Unfortunately, SOMEONE is going to be severely punished for his outburst, if not several someones.
Our liberal college institutions are indoctrinating at the same rate as China. Try saying you believe in American ideas and you will be called a racist. not a viable conclusion. if the country is a functioning liberal democracy (not the US) there is no reason to assume their youth gets indoctrinated. on the contrary, they learn to embrace human rights and their civil liberties including how to think independently. critical thinking is central for a country who wants responsible citizens. e.g. in the US the public education system is poorly funded and fails in doing so. narrow-minded dumbasses are produced en masse without the ability to detect blatant lies from politicians.
paid secondary education aint safe from indoctrination either. my college reconstruction history class was tryna tell me the black panthers were terrorists. i would of believed it if i wasnt built like this guy. and i would have to do dozens of classes just like it to get a "normal" degree. but here in the us im fine cause im free to drop out and still land a great job and career. i left all academic classes behind and now im taking auto mechanics instead. in china they dont get that kinda freedom unless they study abroad, i pray for them and especially him, cause while i can complain about the us i know he "cant complain" about china

When I visited Germany, I had a conversation with a Chinese guy studying in a German university. Even though he can do everything and say everything he wants, even though he lives a way better life by studying in Germany and having a really high-paying part-time job there (compared to what he would be paid in China), he still believes that China is a better country and the communist regime is superior. We also had a conversation about why he thinks other people view China in a negative light. His response was pretty simple: Western propaganda. While that can be the case in some instances, since countries like the US would greatly benefit from weakening China, he was unwilling to accept that sometimes, the Western media could be right and China can make mistakes. He also didn't believe that propaganda exists in his country. He told me that if he can't fall for propaganda and even if China was to spread propaganda, it would be for the greater good. I was surprised by one thing though: he told me nothing is truly "banned" in his country since most young people would use VPN and pirate Western media from Chinese sites that the CCP won't crack down on. I wasn't surprised by that, since my country does the same (even our prime minister mentioned how he downloads files from a Bulgarian piracy site), it was the fact that they know what a VPN is and they won't get in trouble for using one. Places like North Korea banned VPNs, so I always assumed China did too (he even made a joke about China not being North Korea). Although I knew that there's propaganda in China, I never knew how bad it was until I talked to an actual victim of brainwashing. We had a lengthy conversation (most of it about table tennis, food, and our future) and ne never struck me as a liar. He genuinely believed what he was saying. I wish him the best. He was really smart, so I hope he succeeds in life. It's just sad to see an intelligent young man being a victim of brainwashing since his birth. Same goes for all Chinese and Macedonians: you're not a dumb nation for believing the propaganda. You were lied to from your childhood, so it's understandable that you will hate me and won't share the same opinions as me. Read, travel, talk to people and try to learn from all of that. Open your mind to different opinions and perspectives and when you find out you were wrong, don't be ashamed to admit it. We learn our entire life, contradictions in our point of view are bound to appear, so embrace them rather than shutting them down.
He must be fairly young, you have to understand that we were bombarded with political propagandas since 7/8 years old in China. A lot of nationalism in the education. Some people are more naive than others when it comes to things like this, some might came to a realization at later stage of life, I know I did when i was in college. For him, who knows, but most educated adults I know don’t buy these BS. People are more concerned with their own families and personal development.
Do you believe that the earth has billions of years and that humanity is the fruit of Evolution? Do you believe in the survival of the fittest? Do you believe in the relativity of truth? If yes to these questions, it's because you've been taught from your youth that these are true. Your outlook on the world and your life are based on what you believe in, even are societies.
I think it's not entirely brainwashing, it is also values and history. 1. Westerners seem to have a hard time accepting that there are people who don't value freedom and individuality as much as they do. Like you mentioned, Asian societies value "greater goods" more. Also see the relationship of government x people differently from that of the west. In Asia, the government is the parent/father, the society is the children. It is expected for a parent to tell what the children must do, but they must do it with the best intentions at heart. It's Confucianism. 2. China used to be the leading society for cultures, science, and technology for thousands of years, until The West put them on their knees using opium. Chinese calls this "a hundred years of humiliation". Hence their resentment towards the west, and their ambitions to do things their own way, not the western way.
@MissNulis I'm really sick and tired of western people who believe they are living better life because they have more freedom and individuality. And they also bring wars to countries who don't believe in their lifestyle. Really makes me wonder what is in their head.

He failed. Pursued by police he threw himself on the Châu Giang ( 珠江, ) river. It was in 1924.

This kids parents either taught him well covertly or he's broken the spell himself. not a viable conclusion. if the country is a functioning liberal democracy (not the US) there is no reason to assume their youth gets indoctrinated. on the contrary, they learn to embrace human rights and their civil liberties including how to think independently. critical thinking is central for a country who wants responsible citizens. e.g. in the US the public education system is poorly funded and fails in doing so. narrow-minded dumbasses are produced en masse without the ability to detect blatant lies from politicians.
paid secondary education aint safe from indoctrination either. my college reconstruction history class was tryna tell me the black panthers were terrorists. i would of believed it if i wasnt built like this guy. and i would have to do dozens of classes just like it to get a "normal" degree. but here in the us im fine cause im free to drop out and still land a great job and career. i left all academic classes behind and now im taking auto mechanics instead. in china they dont get that kinda freedom unless they study abroad, i pray for them and especially him, cause while i can complain about the us i know he "cant complain" about china

Wow skopia has communism. I didnt know 😢

What an edgy guy, lol. Notice all the smirks. You can tell the other students are like "we know, bro, but you're not supposed to say that out loud."
Edgy like indie/grunge or edgy like crazy?
It's hard to tell from the backs of their heads.
They probably support China’s ideology, considering China’s average iq is significantly higher than that in the US. They understand how communism works unlike people who’ve read zero theory in this comment section.
It does not matter. Chinese communist party isn't communist either.
Terrorists Party?..😂
@@neilcalonia2882authoritarian capitalism
China's economical system is actually pretty close to national socialist one. Won't touch ideology.

You need more people like him to step up to that crap. I hope he is ok, not in jail or something else.
He is standing in the face of Death. The other students are already too far gone
Blud is gonna disappear💀
You don’t understand anything lmao, US propaganda is wild. He’ll be totally fine. They don’t just make you disappear in China, there is freedom of speech.
China is going anti communism and USA is going communism... Hilarious
China? Some people are China? US? Some leftist are the US?
USA going to become communism? More like USA owned by zionism
USA is a joke.
@@NiMareQ I'm from the US, don't say my side is a joke. Our side fights against communism. It's the dumb, leftoids in this country that are the joke.

so braved to say it out loud.
The very same thing, almost identical is happening in Vietnam, and people still refuse to admit Vietnam is the lil China
how bad is it? i know vietnam has human rights problems but i always thought people there had more room to disagree
It's joever for bro
Yea I openly hate communism too.
Only difference is I can freely speak still.
AND I WILL FIGHT TO KEEP IT THAT WAY. I HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCED COMMUNISM, NOR DO I EVER WANT TOO.
the stories are enough for me
Why do you openly hate communism?
Fun fact China isnt communist it is an authoritarian capitalist regime. No country ever reached marx communism and if you actually Read the book you would know mark fought for freedom of speech , the workers and against inequalities he even predicted the destruction of the planet because of endless growth. Capitalism propaganda angainst communism exist and this is why they only teach about Marx and other philosophy from the greatest mind like Socrate, Épicure, etc in Canada but not in the US because the system would fall
@DUFFAL02 It is a garbage ideology for idiots
Someone better check on that kid..
Same thing happened in vietnam here. A 17 year old guy who managed to get into the olympic academic competition spoke out against the Party, and he imediately got to do business with the police force. Poor guy is just showing his thoughts, thus showing us all there is a certain restriction on freedom of speech here in vietnam
is vietnam still a communist country like china?? but how come there are so many big companies invested into the country if there is no change in the regime?

The sadder thing is, it’s not even real communism
"Real communism" will never be because communism doesn't work.
Is this a Marxist I smell? It's never really "true" communism is it. Everytime it inevitably turns into a dystopia it's always "fake" communism. Give me a break
If all the bad guys say they are one thing, everyone calls them that thing, and no one else is calling themselves that thing. That thing is just what the badguys are, regardless of the made up definition of what that thing wants to be, is.
@@galenc1606 nope. You could call it what it is in most cases, fascist dictatorship. It’s not communism, so it’s not communism simple
Not the theoretical Communism, you mean. 🤔 Because what is happening in China is real. 🙄
I should’ve said this during my micro and macro Econ courses in the United States of America: I don’t believe in capitalism I’m sick of being sold capitalism as the end-all be-all of economic theory!
I wonder where he is today.. Or if he is at all.
I don't really like chinese government either but their philosophy and marxism are two different things. Nowhere in marx does it advocate for dictatorship and censorship, and it certainly doesn't call for bureaucracy of business leaders.
Right !!!! So much false information about Marx philosophy by capitalist propaganda which force us to consume products MADE IN CHINA destroying our planet . Capitalism isnt better and communism doesn't ban freedom
He was never heard from again.
It’s just a guy who hates studying politics. The fact that he can say this in the class means they have quite freedom of speech. Also China’s becoming global power, economically and militarily. Living standard’s improving. My rant, haha, my point is rebellious guys are everywhere regardless of whether they are right or wrong. The America is more chaotic, violent and hateful. Every personal opinion is personal. I wanna know more about OP, is he an expat? Or a Taiwanese who dislikes China?

Yeah, meanwhile western country should definitely at least learn about marxism, because right now our economic ideology is shit.
And were they really learning about marxism? I feel like it would only point out a lot of contradictions between actual marxism and modern society in China 😅
that's what I was thinking. So many of these commentors are from USA and would never be allowed to learn marxist theory genuinely and they're being fed their own propaganda along with the most n*zi thing, the pledge of allegiance to the flag AT SCHOOL. Yet they think they're free and have no propaganda, but every country has an ideology and it is reflected in their education. Thinking you're free and there is no koolaid to drink, means you already drank it.
Right ? Marxism is not what China is following lol
Ooooooh, I thought I'd never see a comment like that. People always harp on Marxism and Communism as if this was what China is. China is NOT COMMUNIST. It's essentially a Capitalist Authoritarian hellscape.
Sure, westerners should learn what Marxism is to identify it and realize what a trash theory of value it is.
I can spend thousands of hours on a piece of art, but if no one wants it, it is effectually worthless. Just ask Ubisoft.
You got guts kid. I'll give you that.
Well China isn’t actually communist 🤷🏼♂️
Right ! Lol people thinking its the case are stupid . They need to Read the book about marxism! In Canada we learn about those in philosophy and also how capitalism is destroying our society .
As a Chinese myself, China is definitely far from perfect, but it also more definitely has a lot if good sides. I was born and raised in a different country because my parents left it and we went back to visit when I was young, but I might go back in the future sometime and actually visit it again now that im wonder
i never been to china or anything but from what i seen their culture goes hard. i got too much beef with the ccp to visit, they would see me as a terrorist cause i been reppin hong kong and taiwan, i know i would barely last a day if i even make it off the plane. im sad about that cause its such a cool country and a trip would be so much fun
