  • It's Cimmerian September, the #booktube reading event dreamed up by Michael K. Vaughan ‪@michaelk.vaughan8617‬
From September 1-21, I am reading Conan, my favorite fictional character, created by my favorite author, Robert E. Howard. But instead of Howard's prose, I'm reading pastiche.
Today, I look at Marvel's Conan the Barbarian #100 - Death on the Black Coast by Thomas, Buscema, & Chan.

Thanks. Yeah, I remember the first time I read it. I was thirteen and Conan obsessed. This was as good as it got.

Agree completely, one of the best comic adaptations of Conan ever put down. Great overview Bob.

My mother use to make fun of my choices in reading when I was a kid. I let her read this exact comic and she became a fan. Years later she introduced me to my second favorite barbarian, Groo the Wanderer.
