It’s sad the food on the Ruby has sunk to such an extent. We were on the October 31 cruise, which was the first cruise out of SF after the pandemic, and the dining room food was not very good, and the buffet was OK, but it had transitioned further into mostly lower-end options. I gave them a break on much of this because of the pandemic, but it just seems to me that they’re downgrading. We’re booked on an Alaska cruise in August. So I’m hoping we have better luck with the food. Then we’re booked on a cruise next May, southern coast, on the new ship. The food on the Grand, which we cruised many times, was better. But of course that was a few years ago now.
We were also on the October 31st Cruise on the Ruby Princess. The Food in our opinion has improved (Slightly) since then. Crown Grill And Sabatini’s are still good. Discovery Princess Food was quite a bit better than on Ruby. We were also on the Grand Princess this last November and the food was pretty good as well. Thank You For Watching And Commenting

Love the videos. If I had the issues you have had I probably would send the food back until it was right. When food is supposed to be hot it should come that way!! I would also ask them to remove the lobster from the shell. I know they are understaffed but these are basic things that should be common sense!! Glad some of it was good - the Wellington looked fabulous!!!
Scottie said the tofu is not crispy like in Vietnam . Is he from Vietnam ? My wife Jasmine is from Long An Vietnam 🇻🇳. Scottie could have a very successful career critiquing restaurant food . Lol 😎
Like Scotty, I too already know what I want, Escargot and Lobster :) I'm glad that the waiter doesn't cut out the lobster meat from the shell for you anymore, because they always leave so much meat behind it's a waste of good lobster meat. Your Wellington looks good, was it medium or rare? I had it medium once and it was overcooked.
Thank you for such an honest review of your meal. Don, you fared much better on your entree than Scottie. I might incorporate more of a food review approach on our future cruise food videos rather than just showing the food with background music.

The food on Ruby is uneatable, they mess up every dish with the Princess spin - and it's nothing you imagine. We sent back at least one dish to make properly at each meal - embarrassing to Princess. I gave up on day 3, then I would say "Please take this away, I don't want it in front of me" - more than once. "Can I get you another entree?" and "NO - I chose what I wanted and I don't know what happens to that dish, it's just is so, so wrong?"
We do hope that Ruby Princess improves their food quality. Discovery Princess did have much better food quality which should be fleet wide. Thank You For Watching And Commenting.
