First, you need freshly toasted bread slathered with melting butter - then spread on the Vegemite; you had the amount right (lol that's all that beginners can manage). Then it would have been delicious!! Advanced palates enjoy vegemite on toast with avocado and melted cheese.

I was surprised to see no cold seafood options such as fresh prawns.

I took the Alaska cruise aboard this ship last October. I was pleasantly surprised at the speed of embarkation. I loved the ship, the cabin (was on an inboard cabin No window or balcony) was comfortable., the onboard activities were great and I have not had such a fantastic vacation in years.

After several cruises on larger cruise lines, 11 years ago the Regatta was our first with Oceania - from Miami to San Francisco. Just about ready to fly to Europe for our 18th and 19th Oceania, this time on their newest ship the Vista. Rarely mentioned is the Oceania Club loyalty program. It is quite rewarding starting with your 5th cruise. Next Spring we hit Platinum level and even get a complimentary 14 day cruise! Anyway glad you liked the Regatta which we subsequently did twice more with both in or around the South Pacific.

What a magnificent degustation - and I love that the Chef was an Aussie!! All his dishes were fantastic, but he really nailed the Aussie take on seafood. That looked absolutely amazing!

Hi guys, we’ve loved your Regatta videos including the recap. We love Oceania and have sailed approx 7 times on Marina an ‘O’ class ship and once on their newest ship Vista. I’d give the bigger ships a try if you can next time, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed, even more food choices which are amazing! ☺

The secret to a good Scotch Egg is that when you cut it open the yolk is still runny. Thanks to my mum's guidance over 40 years ago I am proud to say I have been able (on most occasions) to produce a runny yolk in a scotch egg. I am hoping Scotty would approve!!!

Hi Scotty - a wedge salad traditionally comes with bacon, diced hardboiled egg, onions over a wedge of iceberg with bleu cheese dressing - as was indicated on your menu's. Hello, Thank you for your comparison of Sabatinis. We tried it twice on the Discovery. It was way too salty. The staff was not very accommodating. We had decided to give up on it. We have cruise booked throughout the year . We have the Grand and the Emerald coming up. We had planned to try Sabatinis again on a different ship. We originally made reservations at the Emerald, but now we have changed it to the Grand. We are looking forward to it. BTY- Walter and I meet you at the Crown Plaza in San Pedro at the lounge. You two were going on the Oceania, and we were going on the Discovery. We several coming up on the Discovery and the Firenze. Thanks again for your videos. Enjoy cruising! Yolanda & Walter

Great review. I always enjoy lunch in the Grand Dining Room. It is usually not too crowded and the staff are much more relaxed.

Here Down Under, a Caesar also includes bacon, and the anchovies are macerated into the dressing. That balsamic bar looked amazing, but would have been even better if it also included a range of olive oils to pair with them. That said, the surroundings look lovely and the service appeared to be top notch. :) What a fantastic way to start your cruise!
