I love my deluxe. I have it along with the an analog Deepmind 12. All the sound crafting I need. What no one ever talks about is that it has TWO stereo outs to fully capture and separate multi layered sound. Great for surround sound recording and adding effects.
@@Garliky Deepmind is pure analog and has that grainier sound, but Hydrasynth does a great job of it and I have just barely scratched the surface of what it can do. I haven't touched my Deepmind since I got the Hydra. If I had to choose between the two, I'd say the Hydra would win hands down. But then it is a new toy and I don't feel I've fully mastered the Deepmind either. Just my opinion as things stand.
After years of analog synths only in my studio, I dared to try the Hydrasynth. I just bought the desktop and now also buying the Deluxe. I can't find anything else on the market that sounds this good, is as sonically flexible and even comes close in value. ASM got it right from day 1, the Hydrasynth deserves everyone's attention.
I feel the same. I have the likes of Sub 37, Polybrute, Iridium. But this is the best bang for the buck. Nothing comes near to this Synth in terms of value for money.
That’s along the same lines as where I’m coming at the is from. I have a Wavestate and I’m looking at this deluxe as my next major purchase. I think they’ll go so well together. I’m planning to use performance hold on the WS and have evolving dark ambient wave sequences going, meanwhile alongside it I dig deep into the deluxe. Oh god I can’t wait! Going to take me a while to get 1.5k, but it’ll be worth it.
I had really wanted this keyboard from the moment it announced to be in production. Sadly, my friggin MS has made it too damned painful to sit and play. At least I don't have an additional piece of gear to dust.😜🎶🎹🎶Play On you all
Sounds very much like a d50 or jd800 in many of these patches. Kind of less clinical and glassy though. Could be heavily unison detuned perhaps or a lot of chorus on a lot of patches? I really want one on paper but im never hearing the demo that makes me pull the trigger. Nothing sounding new enough!
just so weak sounding. it can do some cool things. but it defeats the purpose of synthesis. like sculpting sound from raw sonic content. this is more like trying to boost the sound of simulacra or 1s & 0s in order to make them more closely approximate what actual voltage sounds like when its passed through an analog vcf. i dont understand why they would cripple such an otherwise forward thinking instrument
Weak sounding to you. Of course you're absolutely welcome to share your feelings, but there are a few points you need to consider: 1) Adding analogue filters would add to the sales price. 2) There are many digital filter models, which give the synth a plethora of options. 3) Why should all synths have analogue filters? Do they have to sound the same? What's the point of buying a new synth, if it sounds the same as the one you already have? 4) If you prefer analogue filters, look at the Summit, 3rd Wave, OB-X8, or the likes. 5) Who knows what ASM's next synth would be? This is the synth that placed them on the map, and in a big way! 6) Have you played one in person? If not, the sound straight from the synth might surprise you. Is it perfect? By no means. But it's an incredible synth to play!
It’s so beautiful! I have sold must of my hardware synths but this one i will keep for a long time to come!

What advantages would you say the Deepmind 12 has over the Hydra (besides price) if any?

None, really. Have both. @@Garliky

I love my Deluxe,it takes me places that my wave state and modwave hints at,but they are beautiful together ❤❤❤

An excited update… I got a Deluxe and I’m making videos with it! I’m in love ❤️👌
I consider this to be Side A of an album.. Well done!

Interesting synth, thank you for the demo.
🙂 Among other synths I’m hearing D50, Prophet 12 , DX, and maybe some Korg Z1 under one hood.
Mine arrives next week! Woo!
Still fantastic great demo
Outstanding demo, Adam! 👍
Anyone that says the Hydrasynth sounds thin aren't programming it properly. It can be WAY fatter than an analog synth if you wish it to be.
Sadly, way too many, ever get much past presets on their gear.😁🎶🎹🎶Play On

Absolute Synthgasm! Awesome playing!
шикарнейший инструмент!!! и этим всё сказано! там,где нет слов,есть место МУЗЫКЕ!!!!!!
Best demo yet
Hydrasynth sounds a lot like an FM synth on steroids ... Indeed it has a lot of personality ... I guess in time it will become a classic ...
Really nice
Congrats for winning Euromilion ;)

To be honest it's less down to demos you've heard and what you could do yourself, the depth of Hydrasynth is magical - just needs your own imagination
Nothing to see here. I'm sticking with my combination of the MODX7 and the Wavestate.

What Is the price for this instrument?
Kindly quote separately for the different varieties and numbers.
That depends on where you live in the world.
Kraft Music provided a link in the description. See if that answers your question.
Google
1599$ usd u can pick up for $1300 used on reverb
You could have googled this in a third of the time it took to write this comment and get instant answers instead of waiting for someone to comment.
Mejor Novation Summit...
Hydrasynth sounds like copy Nord Leed 2 vst Synth 1 , no differens at all !
Rubbish.
Very helpful video. Makes it easier for me not to buy one, despite all the features

LOL so a synth can't sound powerful without having analog filters HAHAHA ok.
“… sculpting sound from raw sonic content“ - this is exactly what you do on a Hydra *synth* !
TH-cam compression of audio doesn't do this synth any justice. In person, this thing absolutely PUNCHES.
It only sounds weak to the weak. Killer to everyone else.
Congrats for winning Euromilion ;)
