  • In 1959, a joint checkpoint (JCP) was built at Ganda Singh Wala to host joint flag-raising ceremonies. On the Lahore-Ferozepur Road, it is situated 14 kilometers from Kasur and 9 kilometers from Ferozepur (India). Up until the 1970s, buses would travel from Pakistan to India via this gateway, serving as a gateway. Every day at 4:00 p.m. (PST), there is a flag-raising ceremony. Every evening, at a time determined by the weather, the national flag is ceremoniously lowered. This border ceremony is significantly smaller and more private than the one at Wagah. Be sure to arrive early because the two sides are only a short distance apart and the arena can only hold a small number of people. In the midst of the arena being filled with fans, flag-waving performers lead the chorus of national shouts. To the delight of the crowd, the national flags are dramatically lowered to conclude the 40-minute performance.
