Hey bro, yeah it was an awesome trip, and learned something new! I just got back from a 3 day. Will be posting a video soon. Caught another 7.5 pounder. Will definitely be back 1st week of May again, hope to see you all! Thanks again for watching, and don't forget to share with your fishing buddies 😊

Hey, thank you, and thanks for watching! I have the Lund 1875 Impact, 2020 model. I do enjoy it because I fish multi species. It lends itself well to walleye fishing too, which was my primary purpose. Be sure to watch my video that has "quick limit" in the title because half way through that video I show how I have it set up with my rod holders and the reason for doing so. Let me know if you have any other questions, I love talking about this stuff.....lol. Don't forget to like and subscribe 😊
@Martin Wetzel Your welcome, my pleasure. I planned on some new videos and content this year, but had to battle with cancer. Just finished up 7 weeks of treatments, so on to the healing phase. Hopefully will get better soon and be able to get back to work and fishing again. To God be the glory 🙏
Hi, and thanks for watching! They are Medium action, Ugly Stik gx2 7 foot one piece. They came recommended by Franks Great Outdoors staff. No complaints after 2 years and are tough as you would expect from an Ugly Stick. Good price as well. Let me know if you have any more questions, and don't forget to like and subscribe 😊
I use 10lb test trilene xt. I use sunline 20lb test fluorocarbon as a leader, usually about 4 foot or so which allows me to make a cast still. On the xt I put a swivel. on the leader I put a ball-bearing snap swivel, then a plain snap on the crankbait end. This setup will keep your line from twisting when those sheep-head come rolling in.....lol. I was skeptical at first about the 10 lb xt being strong enough. After horsing in many trophy sized sheep head with the drag tightened down, I realized it's very strong! Never had a break off. Make sure to get snaps and swivels that are rated for 20 lbs or more, more being better. I also change line after a week of hard fishing. One last important detail I would suggest is to learn how to tie the double pitzen knot. This is the best knot for fluorocarbon. Bass fisherman Shaw Grigsby has a video showing how to tie it. I use it for fluorocarbon as well as mono and have never broke a knot!
I was planning on running almost the exact same set up. Except for a little bit longer leader and a little heavier line. Thanks to guys like you. I'll have it pretty much dialed in come October 🤙🎣💪✝️
I was using bandit walleye deep, which is my confidence bait....lol. But I did catch alot of fish through the week on flicker minnow size 11. Color didn't seem to matter, but chrome blue back and purple sun spot is what I used mostly for bandit, then purple flash like color and minnow color in flickers. I was trying to fish the deepest water I could find that had good marks. I can't say exactly because a fellow fisherman told me not to, but I found my own spot in the general area. I was dancing along the boarder, about 2 miles in from it. You will know when you hit a good area because the sonar will be chirping like crazy. I was targeting the deepest fish. I wish I could go back next week. I might try to if my wife doesn't give me the stank-eye....lol. Good luck, and keep me posted. Give me a shout if you have any more questions.
Forgot to mention, there were zero boats around me for as far as I could see, but the sonar was showing more fish than I've ever seen. From 15 down to 60 or so. The deeper fish were definitely the bigger ones. If I get to go back next week, I will be as deep as I can
@@livebig247 yeah, was out on my Lund a few weeks ago, pulled some small Walleye trolling flickers and jigging. I'm out in the desert right now so it's not ideal and I'm brand new to captaining. I used to go out with my Dad and his buddy when I was a kid on Erie and Michigan. I am hopefully moving further east very soon though and look forward to much better Walleye fishing. Depending on where I end up I might even be not too far from Erie, I miss the best fishing for sure.
Hey buddy. I hope I can get back. Gonna have more time off in November, so hopefully the weather cooperates. I use two nets because I don't have three....lol. No, seriously though, I usually fish alone, so bandits seem to always get hung up good in the fish and nets. I use rubber nets, so the hooks come out of the rubber nets way better than the regular, but I usually can't get the hooks out of the walleye and net fast enough when dealing with 2 or three fish on at a time. I could have used three this trip. At one point, I had both nets tied up, reeling in a fish, and realized I needed to get one of the nets undone.....lmbo. I had a great time up there. The tournament made it even better. Thanks again for watching!
Gosh no, I can barely handle three! But I would try it if it were legal...lol. I use my rod trees as rocket launchers. I wanted to try to fit launchers somewhere on my setup, but the trees work well for that as I mostly fish alone. I would like to put some somewhere, so if I have 2-3 people fishing, I can still have extras on stand-by. I usually keep 6-8 rods out rigged up ready to go. That way if I want to change colors quickly when the sun comes out, or a leader gets nicked up on one, or hooks need replaced on another, I just grab a stand-by and get back to fishing while I fix the others. Thanks for watching, and don't forget to like and subscribe 😉
Hey, thanks for watching! I run three rods and always follow regulations. Regulations serve a critical role in conservation, and I always hold them in high regard. I don't have a rocket launcher setup on my boat, so my trees serve the purpose of holding my stan- by rods. Even if legal, I can barely handle 3 rods, let alone 6....lol. I edit some of the problems I have running all three, but am thinking about doing a bloopers video just for fun....lol. I understand why you ask. If you get time, stop my video at any point and you can see the rods that are bent, pulling boards and heavy snap weights. Thanks again. Let me know if you have any more questions, and don't forget to like and subscribe 😉

Yes , I do plan on doing alotta fishing by myself at night this coming fall... Thanks for the help 🤙🎣✌️✝️
Well , I broke down and bought your gx2s today. If I end up not liking them. I'm going to put all the blame on you 😂✝️🎣🤙
Great job. How many rods are you running by yourself? Never mind. I just read the comments and reply’s.
lol, that's ok. I get that alot. Thanks for watching 😊

Good video. I can't believe you do all that by yourself. You do it well though.
Thanks. I may have to put out a bloopers and outtakes video, then you may change your mind....lol. Thanks for watching!
33.3 pounds🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 we got weights in fish🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣anyway good catch ....

Where are you going out of?
We are going fo Kelley's Island. Got reports of good fish on the northeast side about 11 miles out.
@@toddcarl1779 Good deal. Hope you wear them out!!
I appreciate it. I'll keep you posted on how we do. Plan on fishing Fri Sat Sun. Can't wait.
Absolutely crushed it! Did you put in at Kelleys again?

Good video. You're going to fish more before the tournaments end, aren't you? Why two nets?

I know, right.....lmbo. I always get this question.....smh
You're fishing by yourself and you're running six rods I'm thinking you're a little bit illegal
