Lots of great tips in this one! Love watching you create faux bois. Latex is my favorite for creating a great base for faux. This shelving unit is really beautiful!🌸
Thank you so much Deborah! 🥰 Graining is always my favorite finish to do. I get in the zone and go! Yeah, latex works so well with glaze and some gel stains, it's frequently my go-to.

Awesome job. Love it. I've what I'd named Aquamarine corner cabinet n a VCR cabinet years ago when my husband made them out of pine for our boys rooms. We've lugged these pieces wherever we'd move. Bottom line they need new life to say the least. You've inspired me to try this.
This cabinet is really special to my mom. Our family built it together many years ago and it was the cause of lots of laughs and actual entertainment over the years. It was so worth giving it a shot to save her just because of the memories alone. It makes my heart happy to hear you're inspired to do the same with your family's memory pieces! Ahh it was sort of like a giant puzzle!!, great tip on using that old dried out wood filler!! This turned out subperb!!!
My biggest stress with this piece was just figuring out how to get it back to my mom without cutting 😆 seriously glad to have good friends! If you rehydrate filler, try to get it into as fine a powder as possible first. And still slightly damp is better than fully dried out. Thanks so much, Krystal! 🥰

Just found your channel a couple of weeks ago. I’ve been watching your Warm Winter Challenge faux walnut video over and over to psych myself up for painting a reading chair I made for my daughter. In that video you said something like it’s a really repetitive process so you won’t make us watch the whole thing. I was kind of disappointed haha.
