This is a speed test video of the BSD Racing CR-218R Brushless Electric RC Dune Racer to see how fast it really goes right out of the box! We absolutely LOVE how it looks, with those bright colors, and very aggressive but modern edges making up the body. With a 50A ESP and a 3300kv Brushless Motor, this should be pretty Fast! It is advertised as being able to hit upwards of 75 kmph (around 46 mph) and we will use our GPS Meter to measure exactly how fast it is. What do you guys think about this RC? Be sure and let us know in the comments below!

Very cool that you used a drone for aerial shots in this video. It really adds perspective to seeing the speed of the buggy! JP
Having rear "toe in" helps with high speed stability and straight line acceleration. Many racers will adjust this depending on track conditions.
Awesome! I'm definitely learning more about this :-) Gotta look it up. I knew about camber, but not much about the toe in like this. Thanks for the tip el3!
@@TheRcSaylors Many years ago I raced RC's every weekend. I raced many ROAR regional and national events and learned a lot. I want to thank you two for getting me back into RC after many years off.
Yessssss! A ground veichle! Thank you
I think we're all very proud of Amelia for capturing those great overhead drone views while Nate & Abby focused on the speed test!
So easy a four month old can fly it ;-)
Great review! Awesome toy!
Had mine for about 6 months, I use it when I’m out with my MTXL in exactly the same conditions, this car is bloody excellent for general bashing! I’ve upgraded to a 3s battery on the standard esc and motor and I’ve got to say it completely wakes this mini beast up! Top speed is great and handling is fun. It’s no race winner (not in my hands anyway) but it’s never let me down. Great vid buddy.
Before y'all drove it I was thinking it could be my largest and most expensive ground RC so far. Now I think I'll wait until the bashing video. I like the look of it a lot. BTW, today I received one of those Wltoys K989 drift cars you reviewed in your kitchen. Fun little dude. Speedy.
baby wanna see too. i got a 5 month old boy name Luka he likes watching when I drive his toy rc truck. good job on the videos, i enjoy watching the work ya'll do.
For some reason, I just *KNEW* that you used a Hubsan Zino to do those super kool aerial shots!!! (FYI I used to be *telephony* on TH-cam; I changed it this morning to something a bit more appropriate to what the content of most of my videos are) :-)
GREAT job Saylors, from the ground and the air!! Cool looking dune racer; nice color and design. Can't wait for the BASHING!!! 💟👍😘
The back wheels are angled like that to help keep the buggy tracking straight. Some other companies that you guys aren’t allowed to mention (T?????s) do it on their short course tuck.
Ah interesting, okay! Thanks for the tip! Why has it taken us this long to realize this?! Always learning something new in the hobby every day :-)
Normal toe-in, in the back. Normal. I'd pass on it but then again, I'm all arrma. Save and get a arrma. But, thats me. But what I do need is some Popeye! I miss seeing Popeye.
Here in the UK this car is called the BSD Racing Desert Assault. I have one for my daughter. On a 3s LiPo this car will hit 45mph.
Bashing wise they are pretty durable, my daughter has no mechancial sympathy and will drive flat out into most things with the car also spending 50% of its run time on it's roof.
The only part which has broken so far is the screw that fixes the bottom of the shock to the lower front arm. It's a weak point in the design as most RC cars have the shock fix within the lower arm but this one fixes on the front outside of it. So once the screw is snapped off then good luck with getting it out to fix another screw in. One plus point about all this is that the lower arms are not handed so you can swap the lower arms over with the opposite sides so that now the broken screw will be on the backside of the lower arm but on the other side so you can now put a new screw in for the shock.
Overall its a good beginner car for younger people and the roll-cage style body shell means you won't have to worry about breaking them.
Awe!! Haven't watched a video in quite a while!! Congratulations!!!
Thanks Nate And Abby, Amilla must of loved the buggy becouse there was no fuss👍
That green looks so cool! Love it!
Love this RC too!!
Awesome content and you have great channel you are the best rc people i watch keep it up
I love your channel man I watch every time you upload keep it up look forward to watching your videos thinking about making a purchase on one of the beginner drones start flying here in the next week thanks a lot buddy
That car looks cool and pretty fast
Also I think the rear being toed and chambered in help it drive straight; which by the looks of it were doing their job. Sometimes if I'm setting my car up for speed runs if it's a Buggy or desert Buggy I will do the same.
Can't wait for the bashing video
It would be good to see you mention the independent RC Model shops/stores that have grown their businesses on professional knowledge of their products and are there to help both beginners and veterans to the world of Remote Control.
No, I don’t have any connection with a RC Model Shop/Store/Business-mores the pity!
Great videos.
Parts availability is a concern I'd have with buying that car. Guess I've been spoiled with the Arrma models that are available in the $220.00 - $320.00 range, having a two year warranty and very good support from Horizon Hobby.
BSD completely 100% copied the Redcat Racing XBE chasis layout, I am not trying to bash this company or anything. In the two and half years I owned my XBE I never once broke any part while driving, I stripped a couple of screws but that was my fault, I would say you guys should look into buying one but I guess you technically did. Oh, and some rc racers will give there rear tires a little bit of toe in for extra grip in turns (learned that from URC before he quite the hobby), those rear links allow you adjust the toe angle with a wrench. In my opinion the rc is a little easier to control when the toe angle is as close to zero as possible when bashing.
I don’t like the drone shots but I still gave you a thumbs up
Redcat blackout copy. I have one, it's was my first basher, this is almost identical.
Interesting, now that you mention it yeah it definitely does.
Lol everyone is saying that including me
like your drone shots!!!!
Thank you :-)
Hayman could u do a video on the flux storm v2 brushless plz. As I wanna knw how far I can push it with jumps... also can I get parts easy for them...
I can't wait to see it bash I'ts got the look for it for sure,I really liked the zino video as well its a cool and different perspective then we are used to seeing.
Is this the first time you've done drone shots of a ground vehicles? I like it!
Love the look of this one!
Thats a good deal and should definitely see a 3s soon
I loved this video review, my friends!😍❤️🎥 The aerial footage really added to seeing the speed this buggy travels. Can't wait to see the bashing video, now❗👀😍🙌 Take great care! JP👏🔥💯👍
hey nate dont worry about the back wheel. my losi truggy was the same way and after looking into it thats just how som are. i could buy the adjustable links for it and then set my toe and camber to be straight but i think its fine. nice video guys
It's called toe in. Some vehicles have more than others. 3 degrees is fairly typical on off road 2wd race vehicles.
Very interesting, thank you!!!
@@RFVCXR200R I have just bought one, they come with adjustable links for camber and toe-in.
I do like the looks of that one. Would really like to see you do some upgrades to it and see how fast it can go then!
Try filming from the top of the bleachers. Interesting drone footage and music.
Thank you very much!
Love the addition of the drone vid shots.
ciao , ho distrutto la carrozzeria ( o scocca) sapete dove posso trovarla ?
Nice looking buggy. Reasonably fast, though they did fudge the numbers speed wise. Hope the wheel thing is normal. Though Abby did roll it. Did you mess it up Abby❔❓🤔🤔🤔. Got to say all in all Amelia is a quiet baby. At least on screen. Good review. ☺
Hay man I'm getting the flux storm v2. Wot is ur views on them plz
Is it all waterproof? Can ho underwater?
This looks sick! And cool!
I love how this thing looks too :-)
Pretty cool guys I’m still stuck on that 1:10 short course green truck I was really impressed with it,hey great job guys I like the drone shots 👍👍
That is quite a unique looking body design, but it's not too odd or obscure. Might look better, in my opinion, with a different color..maybe a blue or silver.
I bought one today and made my first run..but it cant reverse? Only forward and brake when u pull forward? 🤔
Do you think you lose some speed by the GPS itself? Would it go a bit faster if it were placed inside the shell?
Is it safe to run this car on 3s? I have the same one at home and I’m thinking about upgrading the battery:)
I love desert buggies, they are my favourite 😝
Looks cool and pretty fast for 2S; if you think about it what other out of the box 1/10 bashers will go 55k/h on 2S?
I'm the same don't like when manufacturers lie about the speed however if this buggy can be run on 3S and hit that 70k/h speed then I don't think that's stretching the truth too much because it's not the buggy itself but just the battery. That said the battery is quite small by the looks of it can't wait for bashing video!
Anyone know a good spare parts site for this RC car?? i live in sweden so a UK/EU site with shipment to Sweden. Thanks
nice info bro 😁
The toe in on the rear suspension is normal.
This is bogus, it's snowing here today, but yesterday had a great day with my kids :) Seen my daughter for the first time in 18 years, long story but we had a blast. Oh and I'd buy it just to bash it, of course I haven't checked the price tag yet but you know. lol
Every time you recommended a product it sells out. I can't find a husban zeno at a sale price 😳😱
Here you go Don, just check out our link in the description box, but this will make it easier to find - goo.gl/zyKdjC
;-) Happy Flying!
Hi guys and girls. When I logged onto Utube it had a recommended review for me to watch. it was the FIMI X8 SE that has a 3 mile range. What do you think? This guy doesnt have a dog so I dont trust him . Don @@TheRcSaylors
Good vid. It looks good but its only as fast as a WL124019(the purple one). @ more than twice the price. Keep up the good work.
That's a cool car man
I saw the BDS Flux Storm but they are base out of the U.K.
If it can handle a 3c that thing will go pretty fast
Good job and keep up the good work
Noice!
In my opinion, i could to without those particular angles of the drones shots. (i feel that the drone is too far away)
But i'm sure a lot of us appreciate that you guys are trying new things out.
I'm sure if you ask here or elsewhere you could get a few ideas on which viewing angles would make the most impact.
Personally if i had both vehicles and trust the other person on the other end i'd try and hover the drone just inches or a foot of the ground and take shots of the truck going under the drone at speed.
Or maybe have it hover then as the truck passes then the drone chases after the truck right "beside" it.
I'd think of things i'd want to see happen when i used to play with toy cars and helicopters....of course the term nowadays is "Michael Bay it" but without the explosions cuz you know =j
I placed a 3's battery in this car and it's crazy.
Nice touch. Sky veiw I think my spell check is out gas. Cool car ,cool camera angles.
Nate Cool Kicks What kind of shoes are those.Apologize for getting of subject. Hope not near as bad as times before
Great seeing 1 st Family of RC once Tell little bit Hello
Thanks
Hmm, the speed is a little disappointing but if it holds up to a good beating it would make a great 4x4 basher.
why are the back wheels facing inwards?
I recently learned that is called the "toe" and it can be adjusted in or out for different tracking purposes :-)
Got to love that 1/2 mph 10g rollover. Too bad you didn't catch it in the chase drone footage, it could be like a crazy little episode of cops or something. The real question is, was the eye in the sky the mavic-pro? Or the Zino? Inquiring minds want to know. Oh and the slogan for today..... "Don't hit that". :-)
Can you buy a Traxxas 8s and do a review on it?
Great vid! 👍💪
Thank you!
Was up saylors
Hello!!
I have this for 4 years and it still works! But it drifts way too much since i havent changed the wheels for 2 years straight
What was that thing crawling across the path on Nate’s first speed test? Ewwwwweee!
Looks like a leaf
Ahh... yes, and so it is:)
I have that one but the brushed version!
All of the flux line (apart from marauder and assult v2) is the same electronics so go on design when you pick
Cool vid.
:-)
Early squad where you guys at (:
Same setup as the redcat xbe pro. Through a 3s venom lipo in there and it gonna move
I found something called the bsd racing mad monster my dads getting a bew shredder cuz he got one that didn't work right he said so he's getting a new one anyway the one I'm talking about is 1:5 scale bigger than the redcat shredder and that Is huge im just not sure about availability for parts how much parts are available and its hard to find videos on it like other bsd racing vehicles like thus etc you can buy it for like 350 on aliexpress but shipping is 200 something and other websites im not sure if they are legit but I think the prices are better
Now i'm gonna blow your mind off with an exploding news that you wouldn't have never ever immagined before :this is a Redcat Racing XBE copy or clone !!!! I know right? did your head exploded yet?
Just kidding , it's a little joke towards everyone that writes comments without checking before if everyone else already did :D
Nice video guys ;)
The transmitter is a hobao 2.4 something something.
Damn. Next time
This is the exact same thing as the REDCAT BLACKOUT XBE PRO, BSD is the company Redcat buys from overseas n renames many of there rc's
I see part Losi Scbe / and part Losi tenacity , Having had owned the Losi scbe I can say it was a Quality rc Car. But getting parts for it in Uk became a pain in the arse ., with shipping and import tax . Don’t like this vehicle though
it's REDCAT BLACKOUT..with a redesigned chassis...that is all...
The A -arms. diff. dogbongs, gears, wheels...ect are all the same still.
OneEyE Monster
Ok , I’m not familiar with redcat models , I meant if it had a spoiler it look similar to the scbe and the way the body lifts with the cockpit housing and all of the electronics are kind of trapped in a closed in shell & a Hinge at the back is Like the SCBE, but under neath the way the battery fits in and with the plastics it looks similar to the Tenacity models.
I like the New piranha but again parts in the UK👎, I’m struggling to lay my Hands on Arrma parts and getting a Senton 3s BLx is like looking for Rocking Horse Shit .
@@mark-1rc502 someone did a break down...even the wheel hex are the same as my Black out. The motor 3652 3800kv. i just replace the esc with a 60A..so i can run 3S...that's all. Haft of r/c are rebranded.
Yeap there's certain brands..I wont purchase due to lack of spare parts avalible in my area. ..it's the only reason why i have a couple of T maxx...I dont think they;re the greatest out of the box...but there's wazoo of after market parts for them...It's the same with my 1/8 RC..I use AE or TT parts in my area....not losi.
The real question is, who flew the drone?
Nice
Hey guys 😁
Hi
Looks like a Red Cat "Blackout" clone.
Yeah definitely now that you mention it :-)
Nate ive just looked at the pics of this car n the back wheels are the same on them too they look like they are toeing in like yrs so maybe a manufacturing problem with them
I have 2 of these cars
Awesome :-) Its really fun!
It is like LOSI ROCK REY 1/10 4WD ROCK RACER
Same as redcat blackout xbe pro. Fun but not durable

That whole "outlining things in your thumbnail" thing is really annoying.
Really? I like that outline personally 😂
May I ask why? I work really hard on those :-/
@@TheRcSaylors Because I can clearly see the object in question, it doesn't need outlined. But hey, if you enjoy outlining it, more power to ya I guess. It's your world, I'm just living in it for 10-15 at a time :)
I definitely value your opinion, especially from you. You've been watching for a long time, and we greatly appreciate that. Just trying something new :-)
No there was something wrong with that RC something must of been bent
