Hi! A tip I have is for parking spaces, white out works REALLY well. (The one in the dispenser that comes out in a straight line) also some building you should add: a church, fire station, public works, etc
That's going to look fantastic JD can't wait to see more of what you do on your little town. I hope you and your family are doing well. Keep your videos coming. Stay safe brother. Peace ✌ out.
I am doing this myself but I am making the buildings and its a ranch. I saw that I have some of the same cars I have the red for 92' and the Chevy Service pickup truck.
Loving the diorama, please keep sharing the process, Logan will remember this for ever.. great job JD for including him in the project. I have a diorama myself it was a fun project, now you got me wating to build another one. Thanks Bro. My dad has a huge train layout, maybe my next one will have a train running through it.
Very cool project! I had 100’s of hot wheels as a kid. I used card board boxes for buildings. But the hot wheels from the 70’s were actually mostly metal. They way they weren’t as easy to destroy
There a place near me that has a nice train and town layout. You and the family would love it. They have a house that catches fire the fire station alarm goes off fire truck goes to the house and puts fire out. Cars all have lights on the many animated things on the lay it. Place is called the choo choo barn strasburg,pa
That notchback you customized looks sweet! I know the guy that owns the yellow notch those were made for. I'll have to let him know about this. Very cool!
Hi I just wanted to tell you an idea I had about my own little town I'm going to build, I'm going to put in a monster truck racing stretch so that I can add different monster trucks some old cars in there I'll try to find some bleachers to put people on and I think it would be a really cool thing to do or to add to any type of diorama, this is just a simple idea that I've had for a while and I thought I would share it with you, have a great day bro!!
Looking good! If u want buildings more to scale then look for "s" scale model train buildings and accessories. They are 1/64 scale. However the ho scale stuff works too. Since your main focus is the cars then its ok to have the buildings a little smaller. Gives u more room for other things! In model railroading its called selective compression. You dont model an entire factory. Just the parts the train would interact with. Like a loading or receiving area. Your brain will fill in the rest of the details bc from memory u know factories are big. Like mixing scales. Putting an "n" scale (1/164) house up on a faraway hill makes it look farher away if u use it on an "ho" layout. Also i have a 1/64 gas station i found on ebay myself. They are made by a company called rmz city. They have a bp or shell station. Really cool! They light up and make sounds too! Wish i could include a pic but idk how. Great post! Keep up the good work!
Tip - Use S Scale model kits (if you don't want to scratch build) as that's 1:64 and looks more realistic. HO is 1:87 and too small for buildings against 1-64 scale cars. Great video and thanks for sharing. Thumbs up!
I have always wanted to build one of those little towns and never really could figure out where to start or how to do it, but I just found you on here and it looks like you're just starting to do one and I'm going to follow you all the way through it so maybe I can pick up some hints and tips and maybe I can build my own, but to be honest it would not be for a child it would be for a 48 year-old child LOL I have a wicked nice Matchbox collection and Hot Wheels of course, a lot of collectibles in other types of cars oh, I have one to collect cars since I was a little kid and decided just to do it a few years ago so now I'm on my way, so I'm going to take the next step and build me a town, it was your help I'm going to build a good one and it looks like you know just what you're doing and you have the exact same idea for a town that I would like to have so I will commence to building one after I watch you build yours and get some great ideas thank you for doing what you doing man it makes a difference, your buddy Roy!!
I use milk cartons I painted them look like a house and I made school build with small shoe box . I miss my childhood. I play outside I made roads and dirty roads , I cut some trees from brushes . So fun. I think I start do it again for my son . But I need buy more toy cars.
I'm working on something similar , smaller, just getting ideas form you! Haha looks cool so far, love to see some amazon links and stuff. Can't wait to see what happens with this
I'd teach out to Auto World regarding an HO scale slot car track. He's a little young but these newer tracks have speed limiters on them. Dragstrips or road courses. It's only limited by your imagination!
Wow, JD. That is going to be so awesome when it's complete. That Spelunker's came out nice. I wish we had one down here near me in NC. Shoutout to your helper... Logan and I have on matching shirts.👍 Well, I was going to suggest an rv park, but you already have one. We need a car wash and if you build your house, don't forget Laura's garden and maybe a tractor. Do they make 1/64 Power Wheels? If so, you have to incorporate a couple of those for the boys.😉 Looking good, brother. Y'all be cool and we'll catch you on the next one.✌
You should definitely add a little desk with a warehouse drifting parking lot for the tiny hot wheel drift cars there like 80 bucks add the warehouse and open up the roads or make a new one for the drift cars I'm bouta make one for them too I bet it would be hella fun for adults and kids to be able to drift around a tiny city
Nice job dad, he will remember this all his life, it will make him a better man and father.
Don't forget a fire station in case of emergency! And a church! Might need to wait for the expansion. Love this stuff.....and your Chevys!
Definitely going to need to expand.
@Paul Cuckastein you have your opinion, I have my knowledge.
@Paul Cuckastein I'm not locked up and never have been. And this is the end of this discussion. Not here to argue, just enjoy this channel.
@Paul Cuckastein why catholic thats legit not saving you to go to heaven Christian church is better
I agree with Paul I am a Catholic
Great to see you being a great dad! I did something similar with my son but the secret is it's as fun for the dads as it is for the kids.
. 6
You should add a train to your toy city
Can't wait until you finish
My kids lost my greenlight shop garage doors and windows too! Everytime we wrestle around, I pin them down and demand my doors and windows lol.
I always wanted to do something like that but with a farm.
William me too. I built an off road display using spackle and sand paint
@@frankmckee1003 that's pretty cool. I have enough John deere stuff to do it.
I love John deere
Should do a clock tower in the middle of the town
The funko pop town - back to the future clocktower, fits in good with 1/64 scale. That's if you want to incorporate the DeLorean into your diorama.
Hi! A tip I have is for parking spaces, white out works REALLY well. (The one in the dispenser that comes out in a straight line) also some building you should add: a church, fire station, public works, etc
you can use the billbord as the drive threw menu
That's going to look fantastic JD can't wait to see more of what you do on your little town. I hope you and your family are doing well. Keep your videos coming. Stay safe brother. Peace ✌ out.
We are doing good! Definitely been busy with 3 kids now and I’ll do my best on the videos.
@@JD_JoyrideTV BEST VIDEO

I vote for a drag strip and maybe a mud park
The first diorama video you did was the first ever video I watched on this channel.
Nice! Thank goodness you said "one more table"...:-)
Love your 1:1 garage - wall mural, coke machine etc.
Loving the diorama, please keep sharing the process, Logan will remember this for ever.. great job JD for including him in the project.

Cool
video
I'd love to do this for my son when I grow up
With the extra table you should make a go kart track
Can't wait to see the next video
I'll have a look at what Australian matchbox cars there are and send a few over.
Be cool to have a XC Falcon Cobra or a Falcon V8 ute
You should make the penz oil an abandoned gas station
Great video and totally badass town!! Great job! John 😎👍 You should try to incorporate your current home with all your vehicles!

Really neat project, can't wait to see it completed.
Put a train station like a over head one I think I will be cool and unique

Love it! Maybe consider an HO scale train? It would add some life and movement to the scene. Keep us posted!
I think its more for dad to play with :-)
Well a diorama master I'm just loving it thumbs up
Love both of your dioramas dude ! And I actually have the exact dealership as well for my set up 👍🏽👍🏽
Really? You should send me some pix of your set up. Might give me some ideas
@@JD_JoyrideTV for sure, I actually DM you a picture of it on Instagram yesterday lol. Check out my collection and dioramas !!
Wow
Where did you get the dealership
@@monokelo9354 on eBay from a diorama seller, but I honestly don’t know if he still makes them tbh… 😕
Muito legal a coleção de miniaturas e os carros!

Awesome thanks for the idea for all of my hot wheels
Great setup very nice!
I can tell this is gonna be lit asf
Now this is epic
This was my dream as a kid
No kidding, same for me. You would never leave the house.
Idk if you will like this but you should have a auto parts store
You should add your current house it’s a beautiful piece of property and maybe hills if possible
Static grass is the most realistic an will dry in fairly short time 👍
wtf gluing the cars to the board, that's just wrong
Ya
Seriously 🤦🏻♂️
Yeah when it's for your son too
What do you mean???
you should be able to actually USE the cars like bruh
you should look at woodland scenics three trailer houses you might like them and menards is got a ho scale starbucks too
You guys should add a carnival!

You need the matchbox Superfast 1936 Ford Sedan custom

Now that looks 💯
You can put a drag strip for a race or sum that would be cool
I’m a big fan of Christmas

There's a company that has a Starbucks kit

Dragstrips or road courses. It's only limited by your imagination!
It would be cool to do like a carmax dealership, that why you don't have to pick a specific brand.
I love to have something like that and then have a glass top that goes over it for all the Hot Wheels that I have
wehen corona is over you are the first one i will in the states

We definitely need a car wash, I don’t have anymore room on this table...I’m now looking for another table 🤣
Have you guys ever thought of having a specific room like a big basement or something so you can just make that the designated model city room.
A airport and a camping place
DAMN HOW COOOOL IS THIS !!!!!💀
Love it jd I’m building my 1:64 scale town on a ping pong table. Cant wait to see what you do next!!!!
That’s a really good idea. Might look into that for expanding
I’m your first subscriber.
I live in Tallahassee where do you get those at and trucks nice job
This is sick I'm gonna try to do this with my town
Awesome job
Thanks just wait until you see the final results.
That’s way cool !
I wish my dad would build me dioramas wow
I knew saving my iPhone boxes would payoff one day!
I am just wondering if you have any toy cars with a pickup truck in a fifth wheel gooseneck trailer if you have anymore can you let me know please

Damn dude that is sweet how's the baby doing take care
Farm I’ve always wanted to do a town but I’m customizing some at my new house
Nice work 💯🔥
I know I'm probably late but you should build something in your town that you miss, that is not around anymore from when you were a child
Oh my god so good
I make a city in my room
Where's Bexx she hasn't been in any videos for awhile
Awesome
