Arms gets too much freaking hate. Sure the gameplay is repetitive and gets old very quickly, but the world building, characters and lore were incredible and made you want to be part of it.
Dang, imagine getting ready to fight your dad, not only as a Right of Passage but just to get some bonding time in as father and son, only to have your mom go batshit crazy, steal the Glory, knock your dad into whats essentially the Empire State Building, and fight you, then to only go even more insane and Equip an unstable super weapon to fight you, her son with.

And if you dig around in the art gallery, there's a masculine figure who shares design aspects of both Max Brass and Springman, who just so happens to be with the ARMS Leagues.
I love whoever u play as has a whole live reaction when Coyle throws Max into the tower and it exploded. Best detail in the game imo. Haven’t played it in a while and I rlly wanna go back and re visit the good old days when I first played.

At first I preferred Helix to be the next Smash character, but by having seen Dr Coyle in this video made me prefer her over Helix because she has more moveset potential, she's a female, she's a villain boss and she could have a decent Final Smash using Hedlok and rushing on every other fighter, apart from the variety of special moves she could get. I really hope she's the new fighter.
The only thing that makes me wow is that in every character introduction a female voice says the names of the hole roster except Dr.Coyle because she says her name in her own voice and when the camera zooms to her face is kinda of a neat character introduction and creepy at the same time for the players who didin't play granprix mode dificulty 6 and 7

I was really hoping Coyle would be the Arms Smash representative. I like Min Min a lot, but Coyle is just so cool and unique and equipping Hedlok would have been the perfect final smash for her.
I'm thinking that the condition you must meet to battle Dr. Coyle is similar to the condition that must be met if you want to fight Akuma in Street Fighter...
Anyone else not like the idea of headlock as a boss where you only have 1 evade and 2 arms vs a foe who floats for what seems like forever and has 6 arms and a super that is nasty if it hits or am I alone in this thought?
Tbh, when I first gone against Dr coyle, she was a huge pain. I was so frustrated with her headloked state. But with the brrchuck and revolver, she was a walk in the park.
Arms 2 should have an actual moveset for the different characters imo, instead of just 2 different moves. Having an ample moveset would probably make it much more fun and less repetitive over time
