This won't show up on any official "best of" roller coaster rankings..... but as a coaster enthusiast this is one of my personal all time favorites especially riding in the back seat. Wonderful opening under the boardwalk, wonderful first drop facing the ocean.... has that rickety "out of control" wooden coaster feel but doesn't have any painful or really rough transitions. Has great speed throughout unlike most older wooden rides which tend to slow down quite a bit up and down the hills. Gives you a good long ride, has great finish, and I love love love the beach/boardwalk/ old school aesthetic of the whole thing. It's just one of my favorites I could ride it all day.
This is one of the best wooden coaster I've ridden so far(besides El toro), its amazing I definitely recommend it to people who hate roller coasters and people who just want to experience the thrill
Im 10 and I’ve been going to wildwood all my lifetime. The first time I went on this I was 8 years old. Whenever my family go’s down for the summer and go to the boardwalk this is the first ride I go to. My best friends come with me since we were two so my parents let us go on by ourself. WE LOVE THIS RIDE! If your scared don’t be. It’s fun and exciting and you WONT regret going on this ride.
Just got off this last night, and riding again today. I just love CCI, this coaster is so much fun. It’s not painful at all and I’m a big guy. It has such a classic woodie feel and the location is amazing.
I was just in Wildwood New Jersey and all of my friends went on this but I was to scared. Now that I know what it's like,I regret that decision and badly want to go on it.
Daniel Kubacki this was the very first coaster I rode, front seat with my dad. I was 10 at the time (pretty tall). My grandparents had a house down there before they tore the classic homes down for townhouses/apartments. It has been my favorite ever since. I don’t ever see this one dying. Ever. :)
Went on it for the first time last week, it was SO fun that I’m driving back an hour and a half to Wildwood again tomorrow to ride it again! If you have the chance to go on this, definitely take it!🎢
The wooden Rollercoaster is my most favorite ride I went on at wildwood n.j my grand mom loves it too my whole family loves it!!!!!!! am going to Wildwood in 8 more days!!!!!!😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😍😍😍😍
When I was young I used to hate rollercoasters and I was scared of them. Then my family took me to this board walk and this was the rollercoaster that got me into rollercoasters. Now I am a ride operator at a park in PA. If it weren’t for this rollercoaster I probably wouldn’t be a ride op today. I can’t wait for the day that I get to ride this again.
This was the first Rollercoaster I ever rode, back in 97'-98'. Great coaster and I'm glad to know it's still up and running. Completely unrelated, I remember walking south other the pier to see Grave Digger (Dennis Anderson) doing doughnuts on the beach. best day ever!
I no joke paused this video at the beginning, watched the whole movie "Vacation" ,and am now coming back to watch this video. I think after this I'll watch some videos on Magic Mountain lol.
first from the crest, third from north wildwood. but everyone I know refers to it as the third pier because we come from north wildwood and it has barely any rides and the third pier acquired by moreys, so moreys original pier is referred to as the first pier because it was the first owned by moreys back in 1968, just like mariners landing that's the 2nd pier cause its in the middle and 2nd pier acquired
Unusual layou, looks like a double out & back / twister hybrid. I like bunny hops near the end there. I pictured they would give lots of air time, but when the video focuses on the people riding...I don't see them 'lifting' out of their seats much. The laterals look good though, especially the turn before the bunny hops. Looks like a nice small woodie overall.
Moreys piers Is my absolute favorite amusement park Its beautiful At night there was barely any accidents I love every thing about it and wildwood is my favorite town in new jersey
I love this so much I go every weekend in the summer to the wildwood boardwalk and always go on this ride it is so fun and if people are scared the drop is not scary at all!!
I love retro wooden coasters because they have the feel of going down the mountain in an out of control train. As roller coasters get more and more extreme, they now have virtual reality coasters where you ride the coaster wearing VR masks, the natural feel of the coaster gets lost and the experience becomes increasingly more mechanical.
i love the grate white roller coaster it is the beast roller coaster in wildwood i am died sereos i love this wooden roller coaster i went on this 42 times in two years so yeah :D
+Jude Demo yeah I wrote that comment a while ago and I'm starting to like this coaster a lot more than I used to. the sea serpent is just more interesting and thrilling to me. it was also my first rollercoaster so maybe that's why I like it so much, lol
This was the first wooden coaster (and coaster in general) I rode after the El Hell No incident. I sat in the middle like I always do (said incident I had sat in the second to back, IDK what would've happened in the middle) and I enjoyed it. THIS is the reason I'm gonna be fine with Superman (along with Rock 'n' Roller Coaster, the pretzel loop is 2 feet shorter than it.)
This is the first real Rollercoaster I've been on, from my annual vacation to Sea Isle City, NJ. We go every year and visit wildwood on the last Friday of our week there, and I've always been too much of a wuss. I rode the ferris wheel (like usual) and the swings (I freaked out and screamed on the swings..xD) and then I had enough courage to ride this with my cousins, and I sat with my dad. He actually told me to scream to make sure I was still breathing.... The ride was awesome though, I will
2 days ago I went on this with my step cousin and my brother 4 times and we were the last ones on the ride. We were there until the piers closed and it's better and not as rough when the train isnt full. Also, the seats in the back are the best seats. My step cousin and i went in the last seat while my brother went in the one in front of us and we were the only 3 on the ride and it was the best. This comment is all over the place lmao
Well, I'm sure when the folks at Morey's Piers decided to build this coaster in 1996 they clearly had the intention of ripping off a wooden coaster that would be built 9 years later.
my aunt and uncle owned a motel on 20th Street down from hunts Pier in Wildwood back in the sixties. back then the ocean would come right up to the boardwalk.
i just got back this past saturday. Morey's scrapped the Condor! I couldn't freakin believe it. i dont do coasters bc i have a back issue & im afraid i might get hurt, so that was my favorite ride & i sh*t when i saw it missing =p but i was talking to one of the ride supervisors one night & he said it needed almost $1m worth of repairs & it would cost $4m to replace it bc Huss stopped making them & it'd have to be made from scratch, so they might get a Starflyer soon in its place.
because we live in PA, we take the jersey expressways back to our turnpike, and everybody that lives & works down there that travels north on the weekends go the same way. so when we're on our way down there on sunday and on our way home on saturday, the highways are backed up & barely moving on the opposite side for MMIILLEESS & by doing it the way we do it, we dont have to sit in that traffic. we figured that out the hard way a long time ago =p
do you mean Nor-ester? I agree it is better then sea serpent, but in my opinion this is my favorite roller coster to ride on. also Nor-ester is only good if you sit in the very front of the coster.
I also find them better than some New Steel mega coasters idk the wheels can last longer than plastic ones found on new Steel rides and love the grease smell they put on Them:)

It also keeps its speed
I agree with this. I kinda want to try sitting either closer to the front or back next time. Which ones better?
+Kitty Love the back is better because the ride gets more intense
Usablefiber
Yeah, it’s the best wooden coaster I’ve been on. It’s nice and long, it goes under the boardwalk, it’s fast, everything it needs to be.
One of The BEST Wooden Roller Coasters around!!
Just went on this for the first time today. First wooden coaster and I had a blast on it! Best coaster at Morey's by far.
This is one of the best wooden coaster I've ridden so far(besides El toro), its amazing I definitely recommend it to people who hate roller coasters and people who just want to experience the thrill
Go ride Boulder Dash in Connecticut, then come back and tell us your opinion
I love Wildwood New Jersey keep going there it's really fun

Just got off this last night, and riding again today. I just love CCI, this coaster is so much fun. It’s not painful at all and I’m a big guy. It has such a classic woodie feel and the location is amazing.
It’s been 7 years and I still love this ride
I was just in Wildwood New Jersey and all of my friends went on this but I was to scared. Now that I know what it's like,I regret that decision and badly want to go on it.
This coaster will always be number one in my heart no matter how many great roller coasters I go on
I love that Roller Coaster! I remember when it first opened in 1996.
Daniel Kubacki this was the very first coaster I rode, front seat with my dad. I was 10 at the time (pretty tall). My grandparents had a house down there before they tore the classic homes down for townhouses/apartments. It has been my favorite ever since. I don’t ever see this one dying. Ever. :)
It must be a full time job keeping this from rusting. One of the best vintage coasters I have ridden, fast and bumpy.

I love this ride!:) I went on twice when I went to wildwood at different times this summer. I like how it's shaky but doesn't hurt or anything
I went on it today and it's now my favorite ride
Love love love this ride. NJ's finest.
+Jennifer Smiga no not the best ride nitro or el toro (yes I live in NJ so i know what Im talking about
This was the first Rollercoaster I ever rode, back in 97'-98'. Great coaster and I'm glad to know it's still up and running. Completely unrelated, I remember walking south other the pier to see Grave Digger (Dennis Anderson) doing doughnuts on the beach. best day ever!
Grave digger still runs right beside it!
what a gorgeous setting for a roller coaster and She looks like tones of fun
Looks like a fun ride. I love how everyone has their arms up. 🙌
Worked for Moreys piers and rode this coaster many times love it!!
This roller coaster looks really cool and fun! I think it's cool that part of it is on the beach.
I love wildwood! Real rollercoasters and 2 waterparks right on the beach! What could be better.
My 90s childhood. Rode this thing back to back to back lol
This is my favorite coaster.
@frenchfrey65 It was made by "Custom Coasters Inc" in 1996.
I went on this during the summer twice! I absolutely loved it! What an adrenaline rush! :)
same i love this ride
Katie Harrison went on it 4 times
This is my favorite coaster ever! But only cause i have a special bond with it :)
I went on it today. So fun and so worth it.
I went on it yesterday I screamed my head off
At the beginning it sounds like there at the haunted house. A great carousel.
I don’t think this is a carousel
I no joke paused this video at the beginning, watched the whole movie "Vacation" ,and am now coming back to watch this video. I think after this I'll watch some videos on Magic Mountain lol.
I was literally on this ride yesterday
first from the crest, third from north wildwood. but everyone I know refers to it as the third pier because we come from north wildwood and it has barely any rides and the third pier acquired by moreys, so moreys original pier is referred to as the first pier because it was the first owned by moreys back in 1968, just like mariners landing that's the 2nd pier cause its in the middle and 2nd pier acquired

Moreys piers Is my
absolute favorite amusement park
Its beautiful At night there was barely any accidents I love every thing about it and wildwood is my favorite town in new jersey
That looks SOO cool! I don't know if it's just me, but it gives me a sort of steampunk-y feeling..
I love this so much I go every weekend in the summer to the wildwood boardwalk and always go on this ride it is so fun and if people are scared the drop is not scary at all!!
I LOVE WILDWOOD AND THIS ROLLERCOASTER
@Jack Carr Actually Scenic Railways were wooden coasters, so in fact the first wood coasters ever made were at least 1910's or earlier even.
It looks rough but fun. :P Also, out of all the Jersey pier vids you have done, seems like this one has the best quality coasters.
My first credit and still one of my favorites, been riding it since 98'
I love retro wooden coasters because they have the feel of going down the mountain in an out of control train. As roller coasters get more and more extreme, they now have virtual reality coasters where you ride the coaster wearing VR masks, the natural feel of the coaster gets lost and the experience becomes increasingly more mechanical.
@ScottMayfield Leap the Dips was opened in 1902 and still is running today. I go to Lakemont Park 1 a month in the summer time.
I was on that ride a couple of times. One of my favorites in Wildwood, NJ.
agree on all counts..I think the first was in early 1900s...'Leap the Dips' is still open and I believe it's over 100 years old now.
I love this rollercoaster I went on it with my sis
love this roller coaster so much. I went on this 5 times in a row once
I know, it's by far one of my favorite coasters! I seriously recommend it!
been 5 years since jersey i remeber going on this rollercoaster best rollercoaster in the pier
i love the grate white roller coaster it is the beast roller coaster in wildwood i am died sereos i love this wooden roller coaster i went on this 42 times in two years so yeah
:D
hate this one... it sucks compared to The Sea Serpent
+xbreak dancingx I disagree. I think the Great white is miles better than the Sea Serpent.
+Jude Demo yeah I wrote that comment a while ago and I'm starting to like this coaster a lot more than I used to. the sea serpent is just more interesting and thrilling to me. it was also my first rollercoaster so maybe that's why I like it so much, lol
obm fear lol. The Great white was actually my first roller coaster I've ridden! That's why I like it so much
pink092701 I WENT ON THE JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK RIDE AT SIZ FLAGS GREAT ANERICA 154 TIMES IN 1 YEAR
i went on it twice. REALLY fun.
This was the first wooden coaster (and coaster in general) I rode after the El Hell No incident. It's no El Toro but this ride is 100% pure fun that I could marathon all night
I like that it’s getting a new track
Ahhh, I remember going on this for the first time, it was in fact my first coaster, such good memories
2 days ago I went on this with my step cousin and my brother 4 times and we were the last ones on the ride. We were there until the piers closed and it's better and not as rough when the train isnt full. Also, the seats in the back are the best seats. This comment is all over the place lmao
You should go to Playland Castaway Cove in Ocean City NJ and do a video of GaleForce. It's a new ride they have. Love this ride as well.
This reminds me of 'Bumbly Beach' on RCT1 :-)
My favorite roller coaster! I love it!
Waves, you're crazy The Great White is one of the great CCI coasters.
1:24 when I went on this ride I didn’t expect that and I literally stood up
Not old. built in 1996. the prior coasters on the boardwalk were 60+ and near 40 years old. great ride on the boards.
BEST RIDE EVER! ONCE I WENT ON SEVEN TIMES IN A ROW!!

This has been there for years. I always wanted to go on it.
I love this roller coaster. I miss riding it
Everyone looks so silly with their hands in the air LOL!
This is my favorite ride on the whole boardwalk
Prob the best one i've rode 😋
1. Wow the Sky way is still there
2. I'm in line for this ride right now
And the Snake Slide, that hasn’t been there for awhile, either!
Great ride! Went on it 2x everyday for a week
i just got back this past saturday.
I went on this ride when i was little i don't remember if i hated it or i liked it, but i did enjoy the video
because we live in PA, we take the jersey expressways back to our turnpike, and everybody that lives & works down there that travels north on the weekends go the same way. so when we're on our way down there on sunday and on our way home on saturday, the highways are backed up & barely moving on the opposite side for MMIILLEESS & by doing it the way we do it, we dont have to sit in that traffic. we figured that out the hard way a long time ago =p
I love that ride because it go really tall and high and I even like the go karts on the third pier and I love gateway 26 too
i went on the great white while i was in wildwood and i was one seat from the front and it was so fun!
This looks like an awesome coaster
it is, you should try it this summer! Good Luck! XD
OH MY GOD!!!!! i miss it so much!! The lights are soo crazy with the smiley faceeee sndbgf!! omg omg! ahaha and you??!
I'm riding this for the first time tonight!
i love this ride!!!!!! this is my first roller coaster!!!!
I tried this today and it was SO FUN!
I went on this ride so many times.ITS GREAT ! But now it is kinda boring
do you mean Nor-ester? I agree it is better then sea serpent, but in my opinion this is my favorite roller coster to ride on. also Nor-ester is only good if you sit in the very front of the coster.
When it comes to CCI, I personally think that all their best coasters have wooden support as well as wooden tracks.
this coaster would have wooden support except part of it is on the beach, so it uses steel supports to improve safety.
I RODE THIS AND IT WAS SO FUN OMG
I also find them better than some New Steel mega coasters idk the wheels can last longer than plastic ones found on new Steel rides and love the grease smell they put on Them:)
My husband. And I had the very first on this before it opened. Solo much fun.
me too i got every year to Wildwood! is a tradition! when do u go in july, i got in july too!
THIS IS LITERALLY THE BEST RIDE IN THE WORLD
+PIT lolz sea serpent is a lot better in my opinion
+PIT I'm going on Sea Serpent next year and i'm so excited.
its not , but it had the least damage , only a few pieces of the track got thrown into the sea , im sure they can fix it (maybe...)
That begining was really cool
Best roller coaster ever
When you start off you go so fast its ccrazyy
@themeparkreviewTPR ahhhh.... The more I know! Didn't they sort of turn into Great Coasters?
