    I've seem Herman Warsaw vidios,its amazing what he did with the equipment he had back then,40 years later and a lot better equipment and technology and only a handful of producers have achieved those kind of yields,makes you wounder if all the expense equipment and technology is needed

      I think we spend so much time and effort into finding the next big thing that we forget the simple things like good basic soil fertility.

    I agree with Robert if I could never grow another bean i would be happy.
    I also agree with Robert - I think Herman Warsaw forgot more about growing corn than some of us will ever know. I mean to do what he did with what he had. Maybe we need to step back and rethink a few things.

    Man yeah, seems once you got the hang it, things went well!! That is amazing seeing how the basin's caught all that otherwise washed away soil! Y'all did an amazing job on the grand canyon for sure!! Boy I was laughing hard at Roberts rant there about soybeans, that was epic!! I bet it can be very aggravating for sure!! Really enjoyed the last of the video, seeing y'all take a rougher day in a good mood!! That's amazing to hear tjr difference in yields already!! Thank you both for bringing us along, look fwd to seeing whats next!! 😁😁😁👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🚜🚜🌾🌾🌱🌱

    So jealous those look like pretty good beans. I’m glad you guys are making videos as I haven’t been able to do anything this fall having back surgery in a week hope the rest of the harvest goes well. We have some corn still in the field but our beans are done, hopefully everything will get wrapped up in the next week or so have a good safe fall

    I agree I absolutely hate combining soybeans but I also hate planting corn and putting the extra money out for it.

    100% corn sounds awesome. Scary as heck but awesome. I wouldnt do it because i dont really think its financially viable. Yall did good with that ditch though.

      The 25-foot HoneyBee headers are really affordable. If I went any bigger, I would want a MacDon. It was a definite learning curve. We finished harvest today, and I wouldn't want to return to my auger header.

      @@DylanJoyceFarmswhy would you want a MacDon over the honey bee ?

    • @DylanJoyceFarms
      @DylanJoyceFarms  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      MacDon headers 30 feet and larger can flex. HoneyBee has the airflex heads but they are still new and out of our price range. The first MacDon flex headers (model 974) can now be bought at a decent price. We also have a lot more dealer support for MacDon locally. If I ever need parts for my HoneyBee, I must order online or drive about 2 hours down into Arkansas. @@Hinesfarm-Indiana

    Not sure what you consider "up north", but I'm in Iowa. And most of us up here grow 200 to 250 bushel corn. But most of us still run both corn and soybeans, roughly 50/50. Yup, beans are a pain, but they pay decent.

    • @DylanJoyceFarms
      @DylanJoyceFarms  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      We are in Tennessee, so pretty well anything north of Kentucky is what we consider up north 😆

      @@DylanJoyceFarms I saw one guy put a shark's fin divider on his draper and he said it eliminated the cross belts from throwing the crop mat across the center belt and plugging the opposite side crop belt. Weeds are a real problem without it.
