Built a few of these. What works better and is simpler to use is small speaker wire separated at the ceiling and tacked to the wall. The longer the better but one side should be 10 ft from the tv and the other 20 ft. Note that any house wiring in the walls can cause conductive reaction and make the antenna not perform as well. They sell male to female “with wire screws” on Amazon. However you can tape a short piece of cable to the speaker wire to the tv “ center to one side and shield to the other. “

I made one of these back in 2009 Still use it. Works great. I used old metal wire hangars.
