Dear Mr Syd, Welcome, to the Holy Trinity. Bless this immunity. You’re about to he BLOWN AWAY by the drum mixing and bass mixing on the next album, 10,000 Days. Heavy, does not even begin to do it justice. Im foaming over here in anticipation!!!!!
Hey Drama. You’re gonna love the next Tool album! I can’t wait for Rosetta Stoned. A recommendation from me is Guiding Lights by Skyharbor. A relatively unknown band, but they are one of the best I’ve ever heard. I guarantee you’ll love it.
You're face at 22:54 says it all. Over the years, my mind has conceptualized this trinity as first passing through the atmosphere (Disposition), passing through space (Reflection), and finally then entering and ending in a black hole (Triad).
One of the greatest musical experiences of my life (perhaps THE greatest) was experiencing this triad live during the Lateralus tour. Imagine 15,000 people sitting/standing quietly in a trance for over a half hour solid. What a trip...
Some friends and I followed them on that tour for a couple weeks in my shitty old Chevy lumina, praying I wouldn’t break down. If you were anywhere in the Great Lakes area i was probably there too! Good times, good geltabs😬
Triad is the single greatest sports team introduction song, or prize fighter walk in music, that nobody uses. That sounds like it's an artistic slight or reduction of the music, but honestly I think it speaks volumes that TOOL, to me, captured what is singularly the most pulse-driving piece of music ever. If I ever had to get myself mentally prepared for something physically taxing I'd be playing Triad right before.
UFC fighter Carlos Condit used Triad for his walkout music I wanna say for his fight vs. Oliveira. He used “Know Your Enemy” for his walkout music for his last fight so he’s a fan we could say.
God, what a good way to close out an album. I'll usually just drop Faaip De Oiad and let the album close out on the silence at the end of Triad. I tell you, listening to the whole album in a car ride or something late at night I have never heard a louder silence. There's just something about 76-ish minutes of pure unadulterated soundscape brought to a point and followed by silence that hits me like a truck.
on Faaip De Oiad, it's a recording of a person who called into the coast to coast am with George Noory to tell his story. Supposedy his phone kept getting cut off during the disclosure then it went dead and nobody ever heard from him again. Supposedly he worked at Area 51. Interesting for sure and I think a Precursor to the Rosetta Stoned track on the next album.
Awesome revisit to probably the best combo of songs ever, possibly beating Parabol/Parabola. Definitely a fantastic way to end the album. Meanwhile Faaib de Oiad is straight up paranoia fuel. I think its a recording of a call in at a radio show with Danny going nuts on the drums in the background
Yeah, the caller was an admitted prank call into Art Bell's radio show. He did an amazing acting job, and I believe recreated part of it later during his admission. :)
These are all amazing tracks musically. For me, though, Reflection will be my favorite. The lyrics and the delivery on them is just incredible. It's like a person in meditation desperately trying to communicate to you the truly important secrets of the universe. The highlight being this: So crucify the ego, before it's far too late To leave behind this place so negative and blind and cynical And you will come to find that we are all one mind Capable of all that's imagined and all conceivable Just let the light touch you And let the words spill through And let them pass right through Bringing out our hope and reason
I agree bro. You miss so many little nuances if you don't have it loud. Not only that. When it gets to the really heavy emotional parts, you feel it that much more.
It's on i say, Drama back in the spiral ! Get you sum... 🤘🤘😎 Way to hang in there ! That shit is trippy ..lol no lie first time we saw them thought we were being taken away on a UFO for real !
There’s a phenomenal IEM performance from Denver 2001 or 2002 you can listen to with more bare bones vocals. Highly recommended. Classic show in its entirety as well.
Please do "Right in Two" by tool. The song itself lyrically is fantastic. Mellow like H. And would love for you to dissect the engineering aspects of it
I can feel the ayahuasca on their music... at least on this album. The whole artwork concept by Alex Grey its obvioulsy influenced by it too... the psicodelic experience to melt yourself with nature, universe, human ancesters, animals, spirits, music, colors, thoughts... in one word: LaTeRaLus
It is good on occasion to go back and really listen to a song again. Even if you have heard it since the last video, you can sit, listen, and really tune into the song. Hear the different instruments weave their music into a larger song. To be able to pick out the instruments individually, while still hearing the music itself. That's my two cents.
And in my darkest moment, fetal and weeping The moon tells me a secret; Her confidant 'As full and bright as I am This light is not my own and A million light reflections pass over me Its source is bright and endless She resuscitates the hopeless Without her, we are lifeless satellites drifting'
So crucify the ego, before it's far too late To leave behind this place so negative and blind and cynical And you will come to find that we are all one mind Capable of all that's imagined and all conceivable So let the light touch you So let the words spill through And let them pass right through Bringing out our hope and reason
AEnima and Lateralus are perfectly mixed records that captured Tool's essence and gave it a seductive mysterious and powerful delivery. 10X Days and Fear Innoculum... not so much. To me, they sound like generic hard rock albums.
Audio atrocious? You sound like you're in Tron! Kinda cool tho, not gunna lie. Disposition is a good chill song. Good work MCP (Master Control Program)
Also, I think your video might have been posted in Mono, so we can't experience the panning mix with you unfortunately. Did you record with the output mix? I've accidentally done that too.
Reflection is Tool's most underrated song, IMO. Just mesmerizing.
Dear Mr Syd,

Reflection is my all-time top Tool Song. It's an amazing composition.
You're face at 22:54 says it all. Over the years, my mind has conceptualized this trinity as first passing through the atmosphere (Disposition), passing through space (Reflection), and finally then entering and ending in a black hole (Triad).
Oh my god yes..nailed it
Ooh "The Holy Trinity." Love this when I just need to unwind from all this crap going on. Back in the day and now.
The Holy Trinity + a psychedelic fever dream
Can't wait to see you dig into A Perfect Circle and Puscifer ! So many great tunes from all his bands ...
One of the greatest musical experiences of my life (perhaps THE greatest) was experiencing this triad live during the Lateralus tour. Imagine 15,000 people sitting/standing quietly in a trance for over a half hour solid. What a trip...
That bass groove in reflection. Amazing!!
Got to see them preform this live in 02' on the Lateralus tour. One of life's great highlights
I did in madison WI days after 911.I went by myself.I was 23.Tomahawk opened and came back out for triad. That show changed my life.
Some friends and I followed them on that tour for a couple weeks in my shitty old Chevy lumina, praying I wouldn’t break down. If you were anywhere in the Great Lakes area i was probably there too! Good times, good geltabs😬
This is the greatest of all tool songs.

Maybe not as much of a slight to Tool as an overhype for the athlete of whoever...😂
UFC fighter Carlos Condit used Triad for his walkout music I wanna say for his fight vs. Oliveira. He used “Know Your Enemy” for his walkout music for his last fight so he’s a fan we could say.
Triad taps into something primitive. Something... Untrustworthy. Something we've been running from since we came to be.
Reflection is my favorite TOOL song...if I had to break up the holy 3.
You have always impressed me with the respect that you give to the songs that you listen to. You are by far the best reactor on the tube!
God, what a good way to close out an album. I'll usually just drop Faaip De Oiad and let the album close out on the silence at the end of Triad. Triad always felt to me like the amazing jam you have at the end of a recorded band practice right after you'd run out of tape.
Damn, updated unleashing of the HOLY TRINITY 🔥🔥🔥thank you Coach 🙏
Coach, where do you go when you close your eyes and absorb the greatness you are experiencing 🤔🤔 you look so at peace 🔥🔥

Just got some new headphones and so stoked when I saw this. I'm almost shaking. Excited to take this journey with you
what did you get? i rock the Sennheiser Momentum 2.

Those damn extradimensional beings... 👽
Yeah, the caller was an admitted prank call into Art Bell's radio show. He did an amazing acting job, and I believe recreated part of it later during his admission. :)
Very intense series of songs. Lots going on all over
Stay hydrated! 😆 lol

Man, I love and appreciate your T00L reaction videos. thanks
Love your reviews. Looking at the technical aspects of the music takes you on yet another journey.
In the last track the electric noise is Danny's Amp dying so they recorded it.
Only tool knows how prononce Faaip de Oiad 🤷🏻♀️😂
Tool must be played loud!
I agree bro. You miss so many little nuances if you don't have it loud. Not only that. When it gets to the really heavy emotional parts, you feel it that much more.
Congrats on the achievements. It shows. Keep em coming my brotha from another mother.🤘🤙✌️
🙏4🏄♂️
Appreciate that
It's on i say, Drama back in the spiral ! Get you sum... 🤘🤘😎
Way to hang in there !
That shit is trippy ..lol no lie first time we saw them thought we were being taken away on a UFO for real !
Epic conclusion of the greatest album ever made. Although.....the last track is kinda unnerving. Rock on, Mike!👍👍🤘🤘🥃
I always forget about that last track when I'm driving in the middle of nowhere, late at night. 😣👽
Is the last track a precursor to Lost Keys/ Rosetta Stoned 🤔🔥🔥🔥
Remember Tool is pure genius, always has been
Every song makes me feel like I'm having an epiphany.
Peace and love friend!
I really appreciate this video and reaction. As well as your take on it. There is a lot more to listen to.
There’s a phenomenal IEM performance from Denver 2001 or 2002 you can listen to with more bare bones vocals. Highly recommended. Classic show in its entirety as well.
Something I would have turn up and drive into.
colony of bees is bass left ear and guitar right ear
I've been waiting for this holy trinity....reaction especially by you.. Mr Dra......
Please do "Right in Two" by tool. The song itself lyrically is fantastic. Mellow like H. And would love for you to dissect the engineering aspects of it
Hard to beat any Tool song.
Thanks for bringing it back and keeping the combination of songs requesting Tommy Bolin Post Toastee studio

Yes, I missed the first upload. Thanks! 🌀 out!
So missed ur Tool reactions

Thank you. The wait was worth it. ❤️
If you're training, throw in some beet juice! That's my secret weapon. 🌱💪
Fantastic as always!
The Holy Trinity🖤 thank you for reacting to this.
Drama.... Incredible aye!
Tool like Pink Floyd play on a different level, to be able to hear their music properly, you need to see it in a different state of mind
Lol, "get out!".... "so I got the f#@$ out" Awesome, astute. Now let's hear the rest!! 😁 All the best Drama. ✌️
10:49 💯 Preach!!
I've been told I drive people mad as a perfectionist. To them I say, "You're welcome. 😁"
If you play Faap De Oiad at the same time as Lost Keys you will hear a secret.
Hell yes! The greatest Tool Tool ever Tooled! imo. :0)
So, the 'trilogy' was actually written as one piece musically with the working title as "Triad"
Blowing up the comments today.
Will you be tuning in to the streaming of Puscifer's new album on 10/30?
And in my darkest moment, fetal and weeping

Same. 10k feels like Lateralus B-Sides. Fear Inoculum was Tool Lite.
Omg the ads. I just couldn't do it and I wanted to see this so badly
Tri fectia...dont' hurtem Mike
Watch the T-shirt.....change !
Excellent! (slow clap)
Audio atrocious?
You sound like you're in Tron!
Kinda cool tho, not gunna lie.
Disposition is a good chill song.
Good work MCP (Master Control Program)
White lighting
Also, I think your video might have been posted in Mono, so we can't experience the panning mix with you unfortunately. Did you record with the output mix? I've accidentally done that too.
What “wired” headphones (closed over the ear) do you recommend ?
Joe Barresi mixes Tool better than Tool mixes Tool!
Did you add a phase to your voice? Doesn't sound bad, just wondering.
I'm looking
Why would you leave Texas?
Of course you get a pass on this. This is my favourite album of all time.
Very humble comments about yourself but to produce a great album you need a good sound engineer and great musicians too ....🙏
Didnt you already do this??
There was complaints about the audio so it was reposted
Heard...sweet!!🍒
Did you really just put us through 20 advertisements?
It's copyrighted work, blame Tool or their record company, I have NOTHING TO DO with the ads
the unholy trinity.. 3 thumbs down at the time of watching(30/01/2021)
