This hit real hard. Jordan Peterson and Dennis prager telling us we should be Christian not because it's true but pragmatic for a well functioning society. So many Catholics who think "judeo-christian" and "conservative" cut it nowadays. So many "conservative" Catholics who view the faith through their chosen politics instead of the other way around. Pray for the Church and the conversion of all sinners everybody.

I am no intellectual, but I do know many are deceived by believing there is a political solution for this country. Yet, this is spiritual warfare, and there is no political solution. This is the city of God vs. the city of man. This is reality vs. anti-reality. This is about choosing to consecrate ourselves completely to Jesus and Our Blessed Mother.

another great video, excited to see the development of this apostolate. Already seems more incisive and higher quality than most others on the internet.

We are there, many suffering due to the Fact the Church we knew and know is beaten down. It is clear and apparent . Great to hear you again Joshua, I'm a big fan of your talks. God Bless you and your work.

I've only recently found my faith and come to the church, and it pains me deeply to learn how she has been mistreated.
I want so deeply to help heal her.

I am so glad that you confirmed my search into something I heard a while back about the Passion of the Church. CCC 675-677 describes this event with breathtaking clarity. It makes everything else seem quite mundane don't you think?

As someone who consumes a lot of Catholic media and worked in politics for awhile, this was probably the most unique and value-add video yet. I like that definition of liberalism since it is it has nothing to do with real liberty. Great quote from Newman, but I can't help but quarrel over whether promises of lower taxes are distinctly of the Antichrist. Also, there was no mention of prudence, though prudence first requires agreement on first principles which liberalism rejects and undermines.

I think the point it that lower taxes will be used to ensnare us, not that they are bad per se.

@@eb4203 Yes. Indeed who would prefer tyranny over liberty? Same thing, not of itself is it the end, merely another step on the road.

This reminds me of the book "Liberalism is a Sin" [1887] of the Spanish priest, Father Félix Sardá y Salvany. I highly recommend this reading.

Had to listen twice to get my brain into “translate from 19th century” mode… but it worked the second time… 🙂 and once I was rolling, Josh, I realized that if you had lived in the 19th century, you could have written this yourself. It is in your voice and on your track. And for that reason as well as all the objective ones, it is superb… a bit of a shock, but very important and very hopeful.

You have made all these points to me, together and alone, in the past couple of years.

Was Chesterton reading Newman while writing Heretics? “We are fond of talking about 'liberty'; but the way we end up actually talking of it is an attempt to avoid discussing what is 'good.' We are fond of talking about 'progress'; that is a dodge to avoid discussing what is good. We are fond of talking about 'education'; that is a dodge to avoid discussing what is good.
The modern man says, 'Let us leave all these arbitrary standards and embrace unadulterated liberty.' This is, logically rendered, 'Let us not decide what is good, but let it be considered good not to decide it.'
He says, 'Away with your old moral standard; I am for progress.' This, logically stated, means, 'Let us not settle what is good; but let us settle whether we are getting more of it.'
He says, 'Neither in religion nor morality, my friend, lie the hopes of the race, but in education.' This, clearly expressed, means, 'We cannot decide what is good, but let us give it to our children.”

I'm a Protestant who is on a journey to conversion to Catholicism. I've come to believe the Catholic church is the true church, but I have a problem. My eschatology is partial-preterist Postmillennial, so I don't believe in a falling away and a future antichrist. I'm very convinced of my eschatology, I have studied it for many years and I very much doubt I will change my position. Can I convert to Catholicism and remain with my eschatology or do I have to agree with the catechism?

Why don't you believe in a falling away? What do you think is up with 1/3rd of the stars falling in Revelation? The Fathers seen these stars as bishops and priests of the Church I do believe.

I don't think so Friedrich neitizche predicted this outcome before pope Pius x l think. Catholic just not describe in gospel, the apostles would never be considered themselves as Roman Catholic or jesus. Jesus was from house of David and his unique birth from Mary did not spare this scripture quote from job 14-16. Man born of a woman is of few days and full of troubles. Jesus was executed at 33 and full of troubles. Scripture cannot be broken regarding himself. The apocyraha do not add or take from the prophecies from Isaiah who is quoted more in the gospels, and a complete scroll of Isaiah was found and jesus referred to him and Jeremiah and the.psalms. apocyraha is not revelent to jesus birth and mission.
