Krystal is 100 percent correct here. Never vote any party line no matter what. We have to stop giving in to the demands of corporate candidates.
The courts are being stacked by republicans, democratic institutions are about to break under pressure and you want to agree with someone who actually suggests people leave a blank space where they would normally vote blue? Is democracy really that unimportant to you? Progressives need to pressure the centrists yes, but they also need to make sure America remains a democracy in order to carry on. Trumps first term is nothing compared to what he has already hinted at what's to come if he wins a second term.
That's right they gaslight us over and over. No more. Not again. Never again.
And ... speaking of gaslighting ... Democracy? Democracy? Hahahahahahahaha!
This is not a democracy.
Then tell your Bernie chosen one to stop filing for his candidacy from the Democratic Party, period.
Krystal is 100% wrong. It sounds like she is being paid by the Russians or the RNC to help hand Trump another victory. I had to unsubscribe from Rising because I couldn't deal with her inability to think strategically. She's wrong on just about every claim she makes. It's because SHE DOESN'T UNDERSTAND STRATEGY! When is she going to learn? Oh. Wait. She can't. Strategy is something you either understand or you don't. Krystal will never get it. Fortunately, AOC is a brilliant strategic thinker, (among the top 5 in Congress today, in either party) so there is still hope. Oh wait. Not if you listen to Krystal and don't vote. Because then we might lose the house and that means AOC won't be able to further build her base of influence.
@@rwrocksteady These people are reactionary idiots. Most likely right-leaning trolls trying to sow division. It's what they're good at.
I don't care about being blamed. I'm done conforming. I'm writing in Bernie. There is no more lesser of two evils while progressives have any power. Vote progressive no matter who.
💯
I'm with Krystal. I'm not gonna vote for Biden if he's the nominee. The same goes for the rest of my family. And don't try that argument about the courts, because Biden's another right-wing nut. And kids in cages is an Obama/Biden practice, to begin with.
I can see your MAGA hat miles away.
Bernie and Biden are not massively far apart in delegates, Bernie can still get the nomination. There is the debate on the 15th and more voting to do, Bernie *WILL* have to turn those Floridians
@@jamesmacaw3865 Spoiler: Biden will crush Bernie in Florida. Even with the crowded field, Biden or Bloomberg was expected to finish top in Florida. The vote share will be 65:35.
@ if Bernie wants FL. he needs to remind him of Soc Sec, and Medicare ...and quite honestly, they're a little racist down there, so he's gotta bring white ppl
I'm with Krystal 100% on this. I can't understand Cenk's "logic" here. This has been the lie for decades: it's "never the right time; hold your nose, and maybe next time." Cenk is dead wrong on this.
I’m 52 and I’ll be sitting this one out again. Bernie gives up his political capital way too easily. I’m buying a ticket to Milwaukee. Let’s burn it down.
I agree with Krystal. Because if we vote for Joe we'll get another Trump or worse the next time.
what an ignorant thing to say. You have a lot to learn in life.
Remember when they asked Hillary what she would do to appeal to Bernie voters and her answer was "I got more votes than he did" telling us to go to hell in essence. I still plugged my nose and voted for her after Bernie in the primary in Ohio....not doing the same this time sorry Cenk
Lol lol lol love it so true . I'm not voting for biden at all no way
Cenk is wrong. I want them to TRY to blame us. I will blame them. This is what happen when you push through a horrible candidate.
Dennis Doherty Exactly! The point of a primary is to see who generates the most enthusiasm for the general. If the elites choose someone and collide with the media and the state parties to ram their selection down our throats, it’s not gonna work. No matter how much vote-shaming they roll out. You can manipulate the msm, the polls, the voting machines and the bought endorsements. You just can’t bend the base to your will!
DO NOT GIVE YOUR VOTE AWAY! Vote for your representatives and local officials...but do NOT vote for Biden!
I’m 100% with Krystal they are not getting my vote if Biden is the nominee period. Nobody is they could win with there own base!!!
You do realize Cenk is a staunch progressive don't you? He's also a realist. Bernie isn't getting the support he needs at least not yet, to get the nomination. So the response is to blame everyone other than the voters for that?
Don't fall for the trap. John aponte is probably a troll. Anyone that doesn't vote Biden over trump is supporting trump and against the progressive movement.
If it's Trump vs Biden you've got to be pragmatic.
@@DIVIDIII Ok learn what pragmatism is.
SDagoth
Ok let’s say I’m pragmatic after getting over the inconsistency of the DNC and how they’ve manipulated this entire process and vote Biden since I’m a Democrat do you really think Biden is gonna win? I’d say he has maybe about a 10% chance out 100. Trump & Republicans are gonna eat him alive they will drag him thru the dirt every little microscopic mistake he’s ever done and being pragmatic we know he has a lot will come to light. You don’t think that Trump willing to go thru impeachment just to dig dirt on him is not gonna expose him? My point being Biden is just IMO not gonna be hable to handle what’s coming to him & believe me I hope I’m wrong because the IDIOT we have in the White House needs to go!!!
Krystal is 100% right on this, and honestly I’m real disappointed in Cenk, yet again, for failing to see the long term progressive goal.
Bernie has made some progress with Democratic Socialism but he hasn't convinced enough people YET! But that does not mean we should allow racists, misogynists, and bigots to run the country until he does convince enough people. I mean the idea Krystal proposes is just plain silly!
With that said, Krystal's plan does make sense from the perspective of a person to whom many of Trump's policies are designed to benefit! They are designed to benefit people that look like Krystal. So I can understand the lack of urgency on her part and people that look like her to remove him from office! However, non-white minorities don't have the privilege of waiting another 4 years of Trump rolling back Civil Rights protections. They need to get him out NOW!
Krystal is right. We're giving up our political power. It's not too late.
I'm not voting for a corporate Dem ever again. If Bernie doesn't get the DNC nomination he needs to use that momentum to create a progressive party. If right wingers are going to destroy this country we need people that are going to fight against them, and the DNC will never do that.
Agreed
We gave them one more chance to save the Democratic party. Now they will reap what they sow.
I love it!
I agree 100% with Krystal. I will not vote Biden. I rather not vote and leave it blank then vote outside of my moral compass.
The days of “vote blue no matter who” are over. If you’re going to vote for Biden, you’re free do it - Cenk. Just please do not tell us to vote for Biden. I will NEVER vote for Biden.
M D
Please. Trump is so bad the world is hurting.
It would be doing so much if you would just remove him and get someone even a little bit reasonable.
Not perfect, but better. Please reconsider.
You have the power to vote, many of us don’t. With great power comes great responsibility.
Do the right thing.
Lukas Norlund Sivermark: If you kept forgiving your wife every time she cheated on you, do you think she would ever change? I’ve been voting “blue no matter who” for a little while now and it has gotten me Trump and a weak Dem in Obama. I’m now an independent. They’ll have to earn my vote from now on.
M D
If forgiving my wife meant I would see Trump removed then yes.
Trump does not believe in climate change he takes steps to make it worse and remove whatever small progress there is, he defunds CDC which worsens Corona-outbreak, he puts children in cages, he corrupts your system to the N-th degree and he gets friendly with dictators like Putin, Muhammad Bone-Saw-Man and Kim Jong Un (some of the worst oppressors in the world).
Lukas Norlund Sivermark: You’re free to vote for Biden. I will never tell you who to vote for. I know who I’m not voting for. After listening to Bernie’s response to the coronavirus, I definitely know that I am NOT voting for Biden.
M D
I am not a US citizen, I cannot vote. And Trumps idiocy affects us too. Greatly.
That is why I am asking you to reconsider. You have the power to vote, we don’t.
Politicians have to earn my vote. They aren't entitled to it.

Krystal’s right here Cenk... a vote for Joe is a vote for this cycle to continue
Why should I vote for Biden when most of his policies impact me in the same negative way as Trump's policy?
Well, Biden isn't a narcissistic moron who thinks climate change is a Chinese hoax and windmills cause cancer. He also wouldn't create a stacked supreme court or appoint lackeys like Betsy Devos, Scott Pruitt, Wilbur Ross, etc.... I'm not voting for Biden. Not gonna happen.

@@EarlRegent bully? Hilarious. We have only one bargaining chip and that's our vote. DNC needs to come to the negotiation table and not bully us into voting for another candidate who will accomplish nothing for the working class.

@@tomdonovan8480 The Red versus Blue mantra has gotten us no where. I'm not voting for Bernie, I'm voting for what he brought to the table. Biden brings no real solutions to our problems.
If the candidate is okay with vetoing Medicare for All, good luck getting elected. The majority of the country supports it.
Also, Biden is clearly delving into Dementia Territory. He was the WORST of all the DNC options.
@@antonea808 You miss the point, I agree Bernie and his policy ideas are correct but you would have to convince many other Democratic voters too and, at the moment, they are leaning towards Biden. I wish it was not so but it is what it is. Not voting would be giving Trump the election. That will be bad, really bad.
Also, as far as the mental state of Biden it is far better than the mental state of Trump so it really does not matter. I mean, Biden has no problem staffing the administration with professionals and actually listening to them. Trump only listens to himself and the voices inside of his head. Which are extremely dangerous.
Cenk is wrong. Choosing the nicer bully would still promote bullying. You have to declare it unacceptable as a choice to diminish it. And zero tolerance campaign’s have. So choosing the lesser of two evils has to be admonished as an unacceptable choice as well. Choosing less evil is still CHOOSING EVIL. Krystal is 100% correct. Cenk is 100% wrong. If we keep treating our votes like they have no value, then we will continue to get nothing for them. We have to be able to say to the democratic establishment that our votes matter and therefore we need policy changes that matter to us.
if you can't organize as a voting bloc, (the way the theocrats and the NRA do), simply individually withholding your vote will have no effect on anyone. Subjecting (or threatening to subject) everyone to more Trump will only set you back, and make it much harder to organize anything. @@MexicanEagl80 Maybe you're right, but here's how I see it (and here's how I interpret Krystal). The "vote blue no matter who" mantra is short-term because it just looks at the election in front of us. Trump is bad, and Biden (say) is the only option to supplant him, so we gotta suck it up and vote Biden. This makes sense (because Biden is in fact preferable to Trump), but it has an enormous flaw build into it: there's no plan of action to actually take power away from the Dem establishment. Instead, it sets up a dynamic in which the Dem establishment gets to say to leftists, "You may not like our guy, but the other guy is certainly worse, so vote blue or die" in perpetuity. So long as they nominate a Dem candidate who's better than the Rep candidate (even if marginally so), the left must bend the knee and keep the bad guys out of power. But again, without a plan for actually taking power, there's no reason to think this won't happen forever.
You might say that Cenk does have a plan for taking back power that doesn't involve ceding power to the bad guys. And maybe that's correct. But I'm not sure I see it, beyond "fight" and "win elections". This might be a winning strategy, but it also might be a fool's errand. I say Krystal's thinking is long-term because she recognizes the necessity for leftists to actually wield the power they've accrued over the last three election cycles. And this is no feeble power to which the Dem establishment must pay mere lip service. Their power is such as could sway electoral politics for years/decades to come. Why not wield this power in a direct and undeniable way? What would happen if the Dem establishment could no longer take leftist votes for granted? Not exactly sure, but certainly their attitude would be different than, "What are ya gonna do, vote Republican? I dare ya!"
If there's an idea out there for taking power away from both establishments that doesn't involve either perpetual lesser-evilism or shunting the Dem establishment in presidental politics, I'm all for it. Seriously.
Krystal spitting straight facts.
Kyrstal is the clear winner here and holds the moral high ground. Her strategy is sound. We will be voting for somebody. THE PEOPLE'S UNION If you guys advise me to vote Biden, I'll never watch TYT again. Face up guys.
This 70 year old loves you Cenk, but KRYSTAL IS RIGHT!!!!!
Krystal is right.
I won't vote for Biden!
Not voting for Hillary this time around.
I'm with Krystal on this. My vote is my vote and I will not vote for something or someone I do not believe in. I find it hilarious that I'm expected to vote against my own interests cause the DNC said so. GFY! Biden and Trump are the same in almost every way. Those of you who tell yourselves that Biden is a better choice than Trump are naive. Those who vote for Biden using that logic should be voter shamed because at the end of the day you stand for NOTHING. Can anyone even name a Biden policy that would bring us to the voting booth for him?
Meghan McCain likes Biden that alone makes me not like him. She's a Republican through and through. She has said it over and over and over again.
The Common Sense Progressive you are right... Biden’s got nothing... let’s pray for a miracle at tonight’s debate.
@@Thedrummersalmanac Well, all Biden did was lie and deny his record in the debate. So he is better than Trump how? This is what we are expected to fall in line for?
@@thecommonsenseprogressive5415 Yes he did lie... but that wasn't all he did... He had some good common sense things to say as well. ...and I would argue he had a better debate than Bernie... unfortunately. He may not want to pass a progressive agenda now... but he is also the kind of politician that will change and flip flop with the demand which could work to our favor if we keep applying pressure. Trump won't budge no matter what we say or do... we are just "The Radical left!" And to answer "he is better than Trump how?" ...Yes, he lies... but nowhere near to the level of Trump who spouts deliberate and dangerous misinformation in virtually every speech and message. He is not a psychopathic narcissist... I don't believe he will treat women and minorities with even a fraction of the level of disdain that Trump does... He is fundamentally way better than Trump on every level. You might not like him or the Dems in general... but the country's leadership is in a state of chaos right now and any Democratic candidate has the potential to at least bring things back to normal... which may not be a progressive revolution... but it's a start. So let's not try to pretend that Biden is anywhere near as bad as Trump... That's just not true.
OMG, Krystal is so right. Cenk is wrong. Period.
Cenks wrong on this one he just doesn't want called out for voting for Clinton. We have to use our leverage to get Bernie elected.
And I certainly wouldn't blame him. I voted for Clinton, too, because I didn't want Trump. I'm not ashamed of that. This time around, though, I'm past the point of caring, and I don't know that I can bring myself to vote for Biden over Trump. I think Krystal is right to be undecided. I am too. And in the State of Arizona, I sincerely doubt that one blue-vote fewer is gonna make that much of a difference.
Like it, love it, cuz your gonna get LOTS more of it!
There has to be consequences or they will keep doing this... Idk what drugs Cenk is on but his logic makes no sense
I will not vote for Biden. We deserve better
So Trump is the better we deserve?
Krystal is right. Cenk is wrong.
The hell with Biden. The hell with Trump.
I mean you aren't going to compare me to a Nazi and expect I vote for you. Sorry.
Nomiki is right. We're not just rejecting Joe - we are rejecting the entire democratic party establishment and media class. Permanently.
No, Nomiki is wrong. You're allowing Trump to further undermine the democratic institutions of the country... and you're doing it out of spite.
Ironically you might also be making it much harder for a future progressive president to achieve anything of substance. Like Ana K. said, if Trump appoints some right-wing ideolog to replace Ginsburg on SCOTUS... they might well use their majority to declare good progressive policies "unconstitutional".
@@perp1exed You may disagree, but you can't say it's out of spite, everyone here is talking about a tactical decision. This is not an emotional appeal, if you give away your vote for free, no one will ever try to represent you or your values, you have to put your feet down and show them. I think going third party is better than not voting at all, without all the voting fraud by the DNC maybe we will at least be able to see how many voters are on our side as the movement move forward in the next 4 years of trump.
@@motiosmo1864 I get your point... but I respectfully disagree. Voting for a major party nominee is not "giving your vote away for free". There are still plenty of ways to hold your president to account. One of them is to do your part, to help elect progressives to congress and state and local governments. They in turn, will voice their opposition to whatever policies run contrary to your ideals.
On the subject of values... I don't really see how Biden would be any different than Sanders. They both thoroughly abhor Trump's values and have vowed to restore sanity to the office of the president.
That means no racist wall, travel bans or demonization of minorities. No b.s. pardons for allies and political cronies. No appointing of ideologs and religious bigots to important positions of power like the courts.
Better protection of the environment, sensible gun control, debt relief for people who've chosen to pursue an education and so much more.
So yeah, refusing to vote for Biden if he becomes the democratic nominee, is definitely selfish and spiteful. Especially from the perspective of values!
P.s. I'll agree that voting third party is better than not voting at all.
I support Kristall Ball
Count me out if Biden gets the nomination, this voting for the lesser of two evils is what gave us Trump to begin with
I will be voting for the green party if Sanders doesn't get the nomination
Yasmine Rivera
You will then have to accept the fact that your vote will increase the risk of Trump being re-elected.
Getting Trump out of the White House is the top priority. Getting Trump out is good. Getting Bernie into office might be the best. But if the best is not possible (if he is not nominated after the democratic process) do not let the best be an enemy of the good.
Otherwise, you will have to accept Trump probably replacing RBG with a Kavanaugh 2.0 and your courts in general will be filled to the brim with conservative judges which will have reverberations for decades.
Not voting Blue, no matter if the candidate is Bernie or Biden is stupid both short term and long term.
Lukas Norlund Sivermark I see a lot of people making the argument that “not voting Biden is a vote for Trump” but that argument is just vacuous in-itself because by using that argument, you can also say by not voting Trump you’re giving Biden a vote. Not voting between these two doesn’t mean you’re giving one candidate a vote. I don’t get why so many of ya fall back to that argument
Horny4Cereal
That is not the argument I am making though.
I never said you are giving Trump your vote by not voting Biden.
I said you increase the chances of Trump being re-elected by not voting Biden.
It is not the same thing.
There is a certain pool of the population that are willing to vote for the Dems.
If that pool shrinks because of the Dems candidate not being to everyone’s liking. Then the chances of Trump winning increases.
It is not the same as a vote for Trump.
So you are addressing an argument that I am not making.
Krystal is absolutely right!!! Cenk is just looking for the quick fix, with no real ultimate solution.
i agree with krystal...time's up on neoliberals.
Kasparian saved Cenk's ass here. What can I say about Krystal I loved her before this and she absolutely solidified that.
“That’s why they take us for granted..”
Yep. That’s exactly right.
Krystal is right. I will NOT vote for Biden. Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.
Since the moderate sheep think Biden can win, I'll let THEM vote for him and prove it to me.
Agree with her, picking the lesser of two evils is why we are where we are.
Reading ur comment got me thinking... Ppl would rather pick 1of the 2 evils, then pick what's righteous. I was told growing up 2 wrongs dont make it/a right
@@tekay7775 exactly
I’m with Krystal, we have to use our leverage vote. My vote is not negotiable to just beat Trump! Cent you’re wrong!
"My vote is not negotiable to just beat Trump!" - Trump could end VITAL institutions such as 'freedom of press'....it's CRUCIAL Trump lose, and i'd logically argue Bernie (a populist, just like Trump) is by FAR the best to beat him...but he needs to be beat, no matter WHO he's against. Honestly, it's possible there will be no more 'free democracy', if Trump has another 4 years.
@@syliagray , Illusion is thinking your vote don't matter so you might as well vote for who ever the establishment puts in front of you. I happen to disagree with your assessment.
@Nino Almighty you're right! you don't have leverage!
@Nino Almighty my 6 year old little friend, I'm so glad you have Biden, you're a perfect fit! LOL.
Krystal Ball is correct. You don’t get the other side to change if you signal that you’ll support them. Supporting candidates like Biden ensures that nothing will change.
I agree with Krystal, am tired of voting base on who’s the worst of two evils.
I’m with Crystal. HRC has expressed nothing but disdain for people like me who supported Bernie in 2016 but voted for her in the general election. Jimmy Dore says I’m a chump. I don’t think Biden will pick a progressive SCOTUS justice. I really like Cenk, it’s just too bad he didn’t win.
I'm with you and Crystal. There is no SCOTUS argument to be made in Biden's favor. He gave us Clarence Thomas and treated Anita Hill horribly in the process. I will NOT vote for Biden. Cenk is a fool who always tries to sheep-dog people into the DEM party. RESIST!
John Dally exactly. They are shameless and ruthless
I don't really care what the DNC does any more. I'm voting for Bernie, even if I have to write him in.
As Krystal said we're gonna get blamed whether he wins or not. They did it in 2016 and they are gonna do it now in 2020. I am gonna remain undecided.
Cenk said that we gotta do better “next time”. Dude this WAS our “next time”, 2016 already happened
I doubt there will be a next time 😢 Maybe AOC! I'm just afraid it will be too late
