My biggest Respect to CAF,the Crew and all those who brought FIFI back in the Sky and keep her flying!Take good care of her and thread her good so she could fly for many years, this beuatyful old Lady🍀👍😊!!I saw CAF's DC-3 in Wiesbaden Erbenheim and was amazed, these friendly, gentle Crew and Servicemen...Great Job,go on👍🍀!!
This is a wonderful story of your personal encounters with FiFi over the years! Beautifully done, and I hope I have a chance to see these aircraft one day. Here's to many more years!
great vid i was at elmira in 2000 the weather there was always crappy it was so bad that all they did when i went was taxi up and down the runway with the B-29
Thanks for posting this. For many years FiFi was the only B29 still airworthy, Good News there are now 2 . "Doc" a B29 rescued from a bombing range in California is now flying again ! Doc was completely rebuilt by a group made up of volunteers mostly retired Boeing employees in Wichita, Kansas (where the B29's were originally made) The CAF helped them get "Doc" into the skies again. They will soon fly in formation together. Wish I could be there.
I was in ROTC in high school and had a pleasure of guarding it at the CAF air show and got to be inside of it sadly not fly in it though this was in 2011
