Be careful you do not step on a "lettuce butt", it is said to bring bad luck! Thankfully they are rarely stepped on. Also, your body and feet are perfect!!! So Beautiful!!!

I guess this is one of the least barefoot unfriendly places, since many locals are barefoot, so no reason for raised eyebrows :-) Were there any places that were in the least unpleasant and would have rather avoided? Perhaps some of the garbage ridden places shown?

No issue, as cleaning one's own feet is quite easy.
It is safer than keep your feet sweaty all day long in dark, damp shoes. Less fungi, less biological material and consequently less smell.
