one of the most loyal breeds on the planet and total loveable goof balls, i have a staffy who was on the way to the rescue centre, my mate stepped in and brought her my way, she's so lovely and adorable its hard to fathom why i'm the 3rd possibly 4th owner. she never leaves my side. im seriously thinking of getting her a play buddy too which will hopefully be a senior staffy from the local rescue centre which is about a mile away from where i live.
Only thing "dangerous" about Marilla appears to be how loveable she is. Gorgeous pooch.

@@RichardPicture One question...why you have to pay to purchase a pet from the pet shop while there are over hundreds of dogs/cats in each shelter? Demand creates supply when many people just prefer particular breeds...Of course you can't just stop all of the pet shops immediately but the relevant education must proceed like true dog lover would not just pick particular breeds...it should be a long term promotion on it ..

I love pit bulls. After my son brought one home, I wasn’t sure...well my pity sure changed my whole family’s mind. 💖
The exact thing happened to me. My son adopted one, and now they are my favorite dogs. He was the sweetest dog on Earth, and I (and everyone in the family) miss him every day now that he's in doggy heaven.

Marilla reminds me of my baby girl Hannah because of her ears. My baby girl as you can see in my profile picture has similar ears just floppy. If I had seen Marilla I would have adopted her the second I saw her! She is so precious! Thank you the dodo for showing the true colors of these amazing dogs pitbulls.

Marilla just loves life. I’m so happy she’s so happy, what a gorgeous dog.
My pittie was just one when she was adopted from a shelter (not by me). When I met her that day she was INCREDIBLY shy and timid, with her tail either between her legs or nervously wagging. I bonded with her within a few days and she blossomed into this wonderful, energetic, loving nut! Interestingly, the people who adopted her wanted her because she seemed so chill, so when she revealed her true nature I had no problem taking her off their hands, where we've been living happily ever after together for four years now!

@Mycel she was very timid, possibly previously abused but at the very least stressed from shelter life. They should have realized that a pit/boxer mix was going to have energy in excess once she settled down, but I guess their error was my good fortune so 🤷
Nothing touches me like the shelter dogs, usually pitties, who are there for years. My gosh, so, so grateful for this loving adopter. You can tell she's going to spoil Marilla, which is exactly what this lovely spirit deserves. Aaaah, life. And love. And pitbulls. Angels.

Seeing her not hesitate a bit while hopping in the front seat for a vip ride to her new home was priceless. I'm a few months away from adopting my own pup/dog and I've been thinking about visiting my local shelters to see which little soul as had the longest and most difficult journey out of the several shelters around. Whoever it happens to be is going to be spoiled and my best friend for the rest of their life 😁 it's so crazy seeing the dogs meet their new owners and it's like they realize they're getting a forever home and new parents from that moment on. I always believe in the "don't shop, adopt" mantra and will stick to it. Good vibes your way whoever reads this 😎❤🧡💛💚💙💜🤎🖤🤍💯

If you're looking for a companion PLEASE consider adopting a senior doggo 🐶 My Senior Pitbull gave me some of the best memories of my life & rescuing him turned out to be THE best decision I have ever made. That 1 choice is responsible for treasure trove of amazing memories full with love & laughter, made over the course of many years 💖 It's just like that old cliché--I thought I saved a dog but the dog really saved me 🤷🏼♀️ Then he saved me again and again and again and then I accepted that I am a lost cause & quit counting 😅 The hardest part is always saying goodbye but I wouldn't trade those years for any amount of money in the world.
So if you're a silly human like me who needs the occasional saving here & there but refuses to ask a human for help, fearing judgement over your ridiculous antics, then a dog might be exactly what you need. A senior dog just sweetens the deal🐾💖🐶
Pitbulls crowd our shelters here in NC but all Seniors need loving homes 🐾💞🐶🐶🐶

Shelter dogs are awesome! We got a 3 year old german sheperd that was returned 3 times because she was high energy. She was a puppy and all her previous owners expected her to stay still and be a statute. Dogs need to be walked, trained, cared for and loved, not just thrown in a backyard and ignored. So she had “behavior issues” which was that she dug big holes in the yard to get rid of her energy. But after simple training and daily walks shes fine! She also a great protector that has saved me, my mom and dad from loose crazy neighboor dogs. I wish more people would consider adopting! Especially in my island since we have only have kill shelters and so many animals are euthanized when they could have been great family members.
Those ears, she's so cute! Bless her and everybody who made her life the way it should always have been. Dogs are family.
