Well said, people need to stop treating life as black and white and so easily wanting a Target to paint as the bad side. War is bad and the people who are forced to fight are never the ones making the decision to fight in the first place
Thank you very much. Yes, we agree. I had to pin your comment because, firstly it was relevant to what I wanted to communicate in the video, and secondly, for some reasons TH-cam decided to "hide" this comment from me. It didn't fully hide it, but I couldn't see it straight away as I clicked on the video, I had to go on "Most recents". Has that ever happened to you? To go back to the message, that's exactly what it is, and it's important to understand that most human beings, no matter where they come from, don't want war.
@@PoetryInStyle Yeah it has happened to me actually. TH-cam has random words they don't like. Maybe the word war in this case? Sometimes it's just hard to see comments for no reason as well, lol.
Whew! That's so true! A few years ago I read an autobiography from one of our American military leaders named General Mattis. He's a great man, a rare treasure of a person. About two-thirds of the way through the book he recalls a time he was leading troops in Iraq and was told by Washington DC to move them out to the desert and wait for further instruction. *Two weeks later* he hears from Donald Rumsfeld, our Secretary of Defense at that time, what to do next. He had a whole pack of Marines far away from every possible resource, experiencing sandstorms, having to clean their weaponry out three times a day from all that sand for two entire weeks before DC could figure out what they wanted to do. The yoke of responsibility is nearly always imbalanced, favoring the few in power. It makes it all too easy to lose ones sense of humanity when in that mindset, and the soldiers pay the cost.
@GamingMyWholeLife Yes, I really tried to get a good thumbnail to attract people's attention, and I thought it was funny. I'm not sure I will be able to be as creative for the other videos lol.
@dylanmetsrocks3833 Thanks a lot man! I agree, and it's bad for everybody. I think this poem shows that very well, so far, among the poems I amalyzed on this channel, it's one of my favourites.
Hello, and amazing! First i was like what is up with that thumbnail?!? After your video i realized why and got the essence of it! Brilliant poem, and i do agree with your explanation.
@powerfulstardust5012 Hello! Oh yes, I understand, the purpose was to attract people's attention. Yes, I agree, it's a great poem, and thank you, I appreciate that.
Great poem. Lots of wisdoms and hindsight for such a young writer about a polarising and dividing topic. Spreading a spirited light on a dramatic and serious event that man has continuously failed to prevent .
I completely agree, and I'm glad you like it! Absolutely, that's really impressive. I also think that the style is very efficient! Thank you for your comment!
Thank you very much my friend, I really appreciate that! I never thought of saying it at the end or beginning of the video, but it does make a difference. Comments do too.
@GamingMyWholeLife Oh yes, that's true. To be hones, it's actually hard for me to say it, but I will try to mention it. My next video is already made so it will be for the next one. Yes, that's a pity they didn't leave likes but I think comments are the best things.
@@PoetryInStyleWhat if you had a pre-recorded outro that could be placed at the end of each video? A little invitation to engage with the video and come back for more?
The way Iinterpret this poem is that war is kind compared to dying slowly in every day society .. but that is what art is; triggering the interpretation of the person confronting it 🤩
Oh wow! For some reason, I never got any notification for that comment. I think it's a great interpretation, indeed, it is kind if we compare it to the slow agony of the society, but as you said, what's great about art is that it triggers different interpretations from different people.
This was a great take on a poet I'm not very familiar with. I like the irony of the poem itself. It also reminds me of the sorts of things I hear from military veterans that I'm close to. Once we're out of the struggle, I think our brains or our upbringing or something, decides that we have to find some good in it all so that the despair doesn't swallow us whole. Hmm. This one is going to stay in my mind for a long while.
@_SarahElizabeth_ Oh great, I'm glad you discovered a poem that really spoke with you and it's good that you could relate that to your own experiences with some people, even though those are tragic stories, it shouldn't be that way but unfortunately, it is. That's right, it must be really difficult for them, so I can imagine they would try to do that.

Very animated 😃
