+Fort Bend Tutoring Thank you, I had a great teacher who taught implicit differentiation by breaking down all the steps and made me like it. Your videos are very good
Hi! I watched WP7 as well. Very helpful! Thank you for sharing your passion. I do have a question about the last question in WP8. Is it 80k or 60K total inheritance?
Great question! It will not always be the last column. It depends on the type of question and what value you’re solving for. In the problems in this video, the last column includes the variable in the context of the question “How much of this and that in order to get this?”
Could you help me with this problem? An investment of $2500 is made at an annual simple interest rate of 5.5%. How much addional money must be invested at annual simple interest rate of 8% so that total interest earned is 7% of the total investment?
Sir can I ask you a question? Is it always necessary to remove the decimals first in all kinds of word problems (mixture, work, investments, distance etc.)? Thank you.
HAHAHA THANK YOU SO MUCH! All my teacher did was tell us to multiply a bunch of number, and I didn't understand the reasoning behind it. This helped a lot!! Btw, are you guys a tutor center in the Sugarland area?
Hi I watch this video thanks for helping me in this case, but i Still have question that is why you need to multiply by 100 or 1000 in the problem , thanks
That step isn't necessary, but I do it to eliminate all of the decimals. I talk more about the process in this video: th-cam.com/video/2x54PbRVQgA/w-d-xo.html
Sir can you please explain it to me or what is the answer for this problem. Jack invested his savings in two invesment funds. The amount he invested in fund A qas 3 times as much as the amount be invested in fund B. Fund A returned a 7% profit and fund B returned a 4% profit.how mich did he invest in fund B,if the total profit from the two funds together was $2000.
Let A = 3x and B = x. Then solve the equation (3x)(.07) + (x)(.04) = 2000. Solving for x gives you the amount invested in Fund B. There are more examples in this video: th-cam.com/video/os80ZNTj86w/w-d-xo.html
+Vicente Albacite The smallest place value of the equation. If it's the hundredths place, multiply by a hundred. If the smallest place value is the thousandths place, multiply by a thousand.
I multiplied by the smallest place value (1000ths place) to eliminate every decimal in the equation. Check out this video to see more examples: th-cam.com/video/2x54PbRVQgA/w-d-xo.html.
can you please explain to me the problem below : INVESTMENT MIX A person has $200,000 invested, part at 9% and part at 8%. If the total yearly income from the two investments is $17,200, how much is invested at 9% and how much at 8%? Solution:
Hello Mysterious World! Your problem is exactly like the problem in this video. If you would like more examples check out our video called Interest Word Problems. If you would like a tutorial session, that is a paid service we provide through our website. We'll be happy 2 help you!

+J. Monares No, it's not necessary. It's just my personal preference.
Mr. Whitt, is the formula being used here I=PRT or A= (1+RT)? I am trying to do it using the formula but so lost... please help!
+Paloma Cruz The first formula.
HAHAHA THANK YOU SO MUCH! All my teacher did was tell us to multiply a bunch of number, and I didn't understand the reasoning behind it. This helped a lot!!
Btw, are you guys a tutor center in the Sugarland area?
+BLUEROAR Yes, we're located in near Sugarland in Missouri City.

tnx Mr.whitt you help me in my quiz
My pleasure Nilo!
where did you get a 1000?
Sir can you please explain it to me or what is the answer for this problem.

does the columns ALWAYS on "P,R,I?" respectively?
Yes, always.
what application did you use Mr. Whitt??
+Veronica Baronggo Penultimate by Evernote
how do you know when to Multiply 100 vs.1000 to the decimals ?
Go by the smallest place value. For example if the smallest place value is the tenths place, multiply each term by 10.
awesome thank you.
how will you know if you use 100 or 1000?? btw. it helps a lot!
+Vicente Albacite The smallest place value of the equation. If it's the hundredths place, multiply by a hundred. If the smallest place value is the thousandths place, multiply by a thousand.
why did you multiply it to 1000 to remove the decimals shouldnt in be 100?? sorry i dont know
I multiplied by the smallest place value (1000ths place) to eliminate every decimal in the equation. Check out this video to see more examples: th-cam.com/video/2x54PbRVQgA/w-d-xo.html.
how did you get 1560 ?
nvm
its very elaborated but I can solve this problem in math lab AHH! Mr.Whitt Help
