Thankyou again Peter for this sequence of videos. I'm making a perch at MGFW in Melbourne, Aust. and I'm currently up to the seat. Watching your videos is a great help. Much appreciated. : )
I bought a few pieces of trek that are a good size / similar size to a chair seat. I'm thinking to attempt making a stool from them but design the seat part similar to this Any ideas for what timber to use as legs?
Awesome work Peter. Been a fan of yours for years, and am so grateful for your book. One of my most prized possessions. That "special" draw knife for pine is cutting so nice! I don't know if you read these comments, but I was curious, does your DrawSharp work on inshaves/scorps?
Which one? The straight one is a draw knife, the curved one an inshave, the plane is a plane but I heard a lot of other names such as scorp, curved draw knife, draw shave (curved and straight). I cannot use any of them properly but I can somehow do a decent to good job with Japanese shaping planes which do almost the same but have some sort of support which guide you while cutting. I think you can find very similar tools in the West among luthiers.

I use an inshave, which is like a curved drawknife, a travisher and a drawknife.
I have a feeling when I do this it won't go as well. Awesome work
