It's really immature and unfair to vote for Ukraine just because of the war. Ukraine needs food, weapons, medicatoon and other supplies, they don't need simpathy votes at ESC.
I don't know what is it with all these comments about Ukraine winning euro because of the war. First it is insensitive to whine about this considering what is happening over there. Second, they can end up not even competing, I heard some members of the band joined the resistance (not sure how true it is, but wouldn't disregard it, as all males 18 and above are prohibited from leaving Ukraine and are asked to join the military) so I think it's really stupid for us to just repeat this nonsense about Ukraine winning because of political reasons or talking about pity parties from our homes while people are risking lives there. Eurovision was created to help the people of war torn Europe come together and celebrate and have some fun and music and forget about their differences, and guess who is the first country to win? Neutral Switzerland, it was a purely political move, so you can cry about politics in a song contest all day long, that doesn't erase the fact that the song competition was created and became what it is today because of politics.
After what we was going throw with covid and now the russia-ukraine war this is what we need,a song who just make us dance and sing,maybe hes not the greatest voice,i personally as romanian disliked his song at start but now i listen to it daily,when i clean,working etc. Its funny,catchy and this is what we need now. Go Andrei,go Romania !
