Ingredients:
Rice - 4 kg
Moong Dal - 4 kg
Oil
Vegetables- (7 kg)Raddish, Potatoes, Beans, Carrots, Cabbage, Capsicum, Tomatoes, Boiled Green Peas
Spices- Dry Red Chilli, Bay Leaves, Star Anise, Cardamom, Cloves, Black Pepper, Mustard Seeds, Cumin Seeds, Fennel Seeds, Coriander Seeds
Salt To Taste
Water As Required
Ghee
Roasted Cumin Powder
Lemon Juice
Chopped Fresh Coriander Leaves

Thanks so much for this recipe. I had been trying to figure out for years the secret taste and flavors of the khichdi at the ISKCON center. This came out finger licking good😋. Lemon, ghee and cumin powder at the end bring it all together really well.

Thank you for sharing this recipe. Years ago i ate breakfast at the Krsna Balaram temple in Vrindavan. It was kitcri also and to this day never forgot the taste. Have no idea how they made it it was the best thing i ate. Iskcon days.Loved it. Thanks again for sharing.

This is Bengali style khichdi, in which we use moong dal bhaja and rice in equal quantity, at last bhaja mosla and ghee. We use all kinds of veggies.Shri shri Prabhupada was a bengali.Atob chal or gobindo bhog rice is used for enhanced fragrance. In durga puja also this khichdi is made for bhog.

I just discovered this channel and am so happy to see so many great recipes I can try to make at home. Even though I don’t understand the language, I can follow along since the ingredients and quantities are in the description and each step is shown as the dish is made. Thanks for sharing these dishes. This makes so much khichdi! But it tastes great, and so I share with my neighbors. I half the recipe most of the time, but it still makes enough to feed everyone at home with leftovers.

Hari Bol! Very good Khichadi. I made it home today. I tested Khichadi at Ayodhya. Every time, I visit Ayodhya, I stay at Gujrati Dharmashala. They prepare Khichadi for all Sadhus and visitors staying there. I also don't forget to donate money for their good work.

Astafoetida is good replacement to onions, smells like rotten onion but in small quantities it gives a great taste
